Kinda crazy, with all the studios that Microsoft acquired, this future pipeline of exclusives is what I was anticipating when I decided it would be a good idea to get a Series X. And now, none of them are actually exclusive... oh well, you live and learn

Hmm that's a tough one. I'm sure anyone can sympathize with their situation. But they still released a product that they knew was not ready. In any industry other than videogames, they would get ripped to shreds by customers and critics

Trying to think of ActiBlizz games that I would want, that I don't already own or have played, I'm pretty much coming up empty

Wow, this really explains why all the open-world stuff in this game felt so unnecessary. There are so many systems you can ignore completely and have no trouble at all getting through the main story

All the people (commenters here included) blindly cheering for industry consolidation in the last year or two, this is what it gets you. Massive layoffs and studio closures

60fps will be nice to try out, but it won't do anything to fix my biggest complaints, which were the absolutely dull writing and characters

thing is, you look at that exclusive list, two of them are old strategy games, and then 3 are racing and simulation, which, while highly rated, are definitely more niche compared to the big ps and nintendo exclusives. So, it's not too hard to see where these complaints come from

I don't think you're being harsh. If Xbox is going to go to the trouble of putting together a showcase like this, there should at least be a couple of heavy hitters. There were a few interesting games shown here, but nothing really to get very excited about.

Time to get over it folks. The Xbox consoles are now the lowest selling platforms that Microsoft publishes games on. Why wouldn't they push the bigger platforms in their ads?

Even with those high review scores, everything about the description of this game sounds absolutely unappealing to me

4 games for now, and seems to be the ones that most "leakers" were expecting. But clearly this opens the door. Any future first party games that get announced, unless they flat out say this is a permanent exclusive, the rumours will be swirling constantly.

There have been so many conflicting rumours now that I think we should all just collectively agree to ignore them until we get actual announcements from the Xbox team

eh best just to wait for actual announcements at this point. The endless speculation is pointless. There are so many "insiders" giving conflicting information. As long as my Series X still plays games, and I can still use gamepass, then that's all I really care for this gen. Next gen is where the results of all this will impact my buying decisions.

Oh definitely, in general, gamepass has been excellent. As a ps+ extra subscriber, though, this particular lineup looks very much like one of their monthly announcements, with the biggest games being from several years ago.

hmm gamepass is starting to look more like ps+ these days. Lots of years old games that have already seen deep discounts in the past.

Without a firm statement of what will and will not be exclusive, the conversation around every first party Xbox game going forward is going to revolve around whether or not it's going to ps5. It's going to be exhausting

Gears would definitely be an exception. Along with Halo, it's one of the core Xbox brands. And really, if Gears is in play, then it just makes me more confident that nothing is off the table now.

All the games you mentioned are far in the future. Likely just a matter of time, and the questions will be swirling around them constantly until there is clarification from Microsoft.

I didn't mention older games, because well, they're old and not that relevant. The demand for them on other platforms is likely relatively low.

you keep mentioning this as a "small handful of games" potentially going to ps5, as if there are tons of other Xbox exclusives that are being held back. Almost every current and soon to be released Xbox Series exclusive have come up in these rumors

Does anyone know, are any of the third party Xbox controllers less "clicky" sounding? It's the one thing I prefer about the ps5 and switch pro controllers

It's a shame then that so much of the content of this game is NOT unique and interesting like this. That's a lot of hours to put into it to occasionally come across something cool.

I sincerely hope that it will become a great game after being fully patched/updated down the road (maybe access to mods on console?). As it is right now, I feel little motivation to go back to it after the 30 hours or so I put in.

I'm sure the short notice is intentional. They're hoping you'll be right in the middle of one of these games, and then feel pressured to buy it.

This is why I'm skeptical when people get excited about all the old Activision IPs that they're sure will be revived with the Microsoft acquisition. How many classic Rare IPs are they sitting on and doing nothing with?

weird to see users here so personally invested in this. Billions of dollars changing hands and none of it is going to end up in your pockets, believe it or not.

As someone who plays both ps and xbox, it's pretty amusing to go back and forth between here and push square to see how almost no one can remove their bias when talking about this acquisition.

works great for me, I can watch them while slacking at the office. If they were during "primetime", I would rather be actually y'know playing games rather than watching videos about them.

You can knock out Backbone in a few hours. Such an odd game, I highly recommend playing it just for the wtf moments

The difficulty can't be lowered, if I remember correct. Once you reach chapter 12, doing some level grinding will be almost a necessity as you'll find the bosses are suddenly 10-15 levels above you

There are loads of games not on gamepass. Should we be expecting an explanation article for each one?

You spent a lot of time talking about bugs. I noticed in the Push Square review that there was a patch released that addressed many of the bugs. Is this review based on the pre or post patch game?

Perfect Dark is probably my most re-played game ever. The level design was excellent. You really had to learn the level layouts to complete your objectives. Really hoping this new one will be the same style of game, and not just COD featuring Joanna Dark

I really wish they would announce these departures further in advance. There are three games there I want to play and I'm definitely not going to have time before the end of the month.

Unless this is more than just a simple port or remaster, I guess I don't really understand the excitement. This game is very old and dated at this point.

The advantage of the day 1 first party games for game pass is so overblown, at least right now.
