We've got another new Xbox controller on the way, and this is a "Pro" variant with some cool features!
The Victrix Pro BFG Wireless Controller is officially arriving in February 2024 for Xbox, after previously being exclusive to the PS4, PS5 and PC. Pre-orders will begin in January for $179.99 USD, with black and white versions available.
For the price, you're getting a whole bunch of good stuff here including wired and wireless compatibility, low latency audio with a built-in Dolby Atmos lifetime subscription, multi-position clutch triggers complete with Hall Effect technology, four mappable back buttons, and lots of extra customisation through a special "Control Hub" app.
In addition to all of that, the Victrix Pro BFG Wireless Controller also features a reversible left module, which means you can swap the thumbstick and d-pad around to more closely resemble a PS5 controller if you'd prefer. In fact, the d-pad, analog stick caps, and analog stick gates are all interchangeable, and you can even swap in a dedicated Fight Pad module which replaces the right stick with six microswitch buttons!
If you're curious, go and check out the official Victrix website! We'll throw more details below as well.

"Built for gaming. Built for gold. Built for greatness. No matter what the “BFG” in Pro BFG stands for, this modular controller was built to win: Win everyday matches or win esports competitions. Engineered to fit your play style and packed with tons of customizable options, the Pro BFG Wireless Controller is the new standard in Xbox and PC gaming."

I bought the PS5 version for the opposite reason, so I could have an Xbox layout 🤣 brother got my a PS5 for Christmas last year but could get on with the sticks in the middle.
@MattWithoutFear yeah I'd struggle switching to PS controller layout probably why a still play Fifa with pro evo controls and that's going back a long time ha but controllers are way overpriced nowadays can only imagine how much they are all made for is a fraction of what they end up charging for it in the end
PS layout? Never. Offset sticks for life!
The asymmetrical controls are something I hate with a passion. I guess this is due to me playing a lot of 2D games. Another issue is that I don't like the dpad in Series S. This controller solves both issues but it is expensive.
Ooo now this is interesting, I still hate using the xbox controller...
Oh man. If the rumor wasn't that the new Xbox controller for next year has a gyro, I'd buy this in an instant to replace my Elite Series 2.
I like that they have the options. I know opinion is devided, but Ive never been a fan of the xbox layout. Still it hardly worth this spend for me, especially right now when Im not using the xbox.
Good to see the tech and options available though...
That’s one proper cool looking controller. I’ve become used to the Xbox analogue sticks now and actually like them.
How is the Dpad on this thing for fighting games?
For me off set is better but it’s not a deal breaker in non shooting games. However where i think PS get’s it wrong is not using conclave sticks. What they use makes little sense to me. It just feels as if you are going to slip off and then i do slip off and it’s like please Sony don’t do the opposite just for the sake of being different. Conclave just seems as what works and i am not sure how there is a disadvantage. Both controllers this gen are really good, and again outside of shooters i am starting to not care about stick placement. But conclave just seems like a natural thumb rest. If i am missing something i am sure i will hear about it in the comments. But i am doing my best to defend the opposite and can’t find the logic.
Does anyone know, are any of the third party Xbox controllers less "clicky" sounding? It's the one thing I prefer about the ps5 and switch pro controllers
