Starfield has taken home a bunch of awards recently, including the big Game of the Year award here at Pure Xbox, and now it's also been nominated by the New York Videogame Critics Circle - once again for "Game of the Year".
Its competition includes titles such as Alan Wake 2, Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077's new expansion, and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Tango Gameworks' smash hit Hi-Fi RUSH has also been nominated in the same category. In addition to this award, Starfield has been nominated for "Best Writing" and the "Best World" award, and Hi-Fi RUSH is in the running for the "Best Music" award.
The winners will be announced at the 2024 New York Game Awards on January 23rd, 2024. You can see the full list of nominations in the video at the top of this article.
Earlier this week, Starfield received Steam's 'Most Innovative Gameplay' award for 2023. It follows the new IP becoming Bethesda's "biggest launch" of all time, with over 13 million players joining Constellation in the latter part of 2023.
