Re: Reaction: Xbox's Push Towards 'Microsoft Gaming' Looks More Drastic Than We First Thought

@theduckofdeath Those are fair points and well said. I guess my thought was, although I didn’t specify this, and is purely conjecture, that Hi Fi Rush wouldn’t have been made except to be a Game Pass game. It’s mostly bitter conjecture admittedly as Tango was one of my favorites, with both Evil Within games and Ghostwire both just doing something for me personally. I was genuinely hoping for a third Evil Within and a follow up to Ghostwire as well.

@RIghteousNixon @OldGamer999 I feel like there have been some incredible games released so far. Any of these sound appealing? Because I think they’re all great fun: Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Tekken 8, Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Gran Blue Fantasy: ReLink, Persona 3 Reload, Helldivers 2, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Unicorn Overlord, Dragons Dogma 2, Freedom Planet 2. I haven’t tried the new Princess Peach but that also looks like a great time.

@Romans12 There are radioactive anomalies that will randomly appear, that’s probably what happened in the house. Did you see a shimmer? As far as shooting enemies, once you get a gun besides the pistol, it gets easier. If you’re able to get close enough without the enemy noticing you, the knife is an instant kill as well. Be sure and use bandages (left on D pad) and medkits (right on D pad) during a fire fight to keep healed up. Maybe you knew all that already, but it’s a challenging game for sure.

It definitely shows its age as far as how it feels shooting at enemies. I had one crash so far when I moved to the next level, but I had put the game in Quick Resume right before that so I’m guessing it had something to do with it. I do seem to be unable to switch to a different weapon on the weapon wheel using the LB+X it’s showing on screen (not sure if I’m just misunderstanding it). Other than that, the atmosphere is still great to me and it plays very smoothly. This is all based on the first game only, haven’t tried the others yet.

Re: Elden Ring Becomes Biggest New IP In Europe Since The Division

@UltimateOtaku91 I’m also not great at these type of games and was hesitant to try another one. Elden Ring still provides me plenty of challenge, but the awesome thing about it is that if something is too difficult I can go elsewhere. And there’s so much elsewhere to explore at all times. You get summons that aid you and help take the heat off, and multiplayer is also really fun and there’s no risk of losing runes (experience) if you offer to help someone else. It’s the way I’ve leveled up quite a bit honestly. I’ve always hit a ceiling with these games after a little bit of time, but with this one I’m level 69 and have played for 55+ hours and haven’t gotten to a part that I couldn’t overcome. I may reach that point, but for now I’m just having a blast finding secrets and exploring and I feel like this game was created for someone like you or I to enjoy without being particularly great at these types of games.

Re: Poll: Have You Bought Elden Ring?

@code45709 It took me a bit as well. With the bow equipped, hold LB and it will take you to an aim mode, where you can press RB for regular arrows or RT for fire arrows (if you have them).

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (February 19-20)

I played Cyberpunk on my PS4 at launch and wanted to enjoy it but there were so many issues I put it aside quite angry. Since then, I picked up the Series S. I tried out the free trial of Cyberpunk on it over the past few days, not really expecting much, and was completely hooked. The five hours flew by and I ended up buying it. I can’t really stop playing it honestly, it’s quite good. The atmosphere of it, the small details that I can actually see now - they all make it really fun. I’m also enjoying the combat as well quite a bit. The trial was a brilliant idea on their part, as I wouldn’t have touched the game again without it.

Re: Roundup: Elden Ring's Open World Impresses In Hands-On Previews

P3nguinprisM

@GamingFan4Lyf What a brilliant take! I’m similar age as you are and found that I don’t have the time to devote to these type of games very often. However, I want to play this one because I’ve loved the world design of all of these games and this one looks to be even better. And you mentioned summoning players, which is something I will have to do here if I want to best the more difficult bosses. Thanks for the encouragement, it was greatly appreciated!

Re: Halo Infinite No Longer In Xbox Live's Top Five As Player Numbers Decline

P3nguinprisM

@Dijita This is exactly me. I played and loved the first Halo with my buddies and siblings. We’d spend weekends having LAN parties, lugging our enormous televisions to each other’s houses. Infinite was fun for a little bit, but overall I just don’t have the time or energy to devote to something like this like I used to. I stopped playing after the first week and at this point I have no desire to return to it. And that’s not really a knock on the game itself, which I found to be immensely fun overall. Keeping up with everything feels to me like work a lot of the times, instead of simply having fun and being rewarded naturally; the game instead tells you what you have to do and how to do it and if you don’t then it feels like you’re missing out. To me, that’s not rewarding.
