Welcome to the weekend! Cyberpunk 2077 is probably going to be taking up many Xbox fans' spare time over the next couple of days, but if you're not interested in that, we've also got a few new Xbox Game Pass releases, another batch of Free Play Days titles, and well over 400 deals included as part of this week's Xbox sales.
Here's what we're checking out this weekend:

Is it time for me to finally dive into Cyberpunk 2077? Well, given that it has a free five-hour trial on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S now, I may as well give it a go. I've got more than enough Microsoft Rewards points to take advantage of its 50% Microsoft Store sale as well, so if I take a liking to it, I know what I'll be buying this weekend.
Aside from that, I could be playing one of a few games — Judgment, Rock Band 4, NHL 20, Hades and Mass Effect Legendary Edition are all in my rotation at the moment, so I'll see what takes my fancy over the next few days.
Have a great weekend, folks!

Well, look, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't going to spend quite a lot of my weekend playing a game that's exclusive to another platform, a game about giving great big robot monsters a good kicking while gliding round a very fancy-looking open world, but I will also be continuing my next-gen playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077 in order to see just how improved it is all the way through to the end.
I'll also be continuing to have loads of fun with Infernax, a fantastic indie Metroidvania that hit Game Pass this week and has been pushing all my old-school side-scroller buttons in just the right way. We've even got a little review of that one inbound over the weekend, we like it so much.
Have a good weekend whatever you're up to or playing out there!

im in act 3 of Gears 5 which is kinda losing its mojo.. Also Mad max which is stupid fun and addictive
I work 12 hour shifts this weekend, but if I find some time I will play a little Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires or work on some seasonal objectives in Forza Horizon 5.
Batman Telltale Season 1 on xbox1
Borderlands 3 on ps4
Metroid Dread on switch
Sea of Thieves with the guys tonight, and Horizon: Forbidden West with every spare moment I can find.
Just started Asphalt 9: Legends.
Ghost of Tsushima and Horizon Forbidden West. Next week Uncharted and after that Gran Turismo 7.
Sorry Xbox this is definitely Playstations spring.
Probably a bit more Halo Infinite and maybe some Neon Abyss.
I sadly bounced off Skul: The Hero Slayer. It was charming in some ways and had some decent mechanics but overall the gameplay loop was too much of a grind. Much more than other roguelikes I’ve played.
Thinking of Starting Rayman Origins
Picked up WRC10 in the sales so I'm playing that this weekend. It's very similar to WRC9 but playing on the Series X this time round definitely gives a noticeable visual boost.
Will be playing Far Cry 4 on PS4, Forza Motorsport 6 on Xbox One and No More Heroes on Wii U.
Finished Diablo 3 this week so I'm moving on to playing a new game on PS4. It's been almost a year since I finished Far Cry 3 and I've been in a mood to play another entry so I figured now would be a good time to start FC4 up.
Horizon Forbidden West on my PS5 and then more Horizon Forbidden West.
Might continue a bit of The Artful Escape on my Series X if I feel the need to take a short break, but it's all about my most anticipated game of this console generation so far.
Going to be a weekend of Horizon Forbidden West for me, and maybe start my second play through of fire emblem three houses if I can pull myself away from the ps5 lol
The big 2 that launched the last couple days, which also happened to be two of my most-anticipated games for the year...
Xbox Series X - The King of Fighters XV (hope to see a review both here and PushSquare at some point)
PS5 - Horizon: Forbidden West
Mostly Horizon Forbidden West, but I won’t be completely neglecting my Series X! On that I’ll be playing Dysmantle, Grim Dawn and OlliOlli World.
elder scrolls online.
Far cry 5 for me.
Whilst I do see the argument of your comment, @Agnostic, the flip is that HFW (which I have bought myself and intend to start today (my power supply was knocked out by a storm yesterday and that corrupted my PS5 meaning I had to re-download the game, but that is a whole over story!)) is one game. It will take me maybe two weeks to finish, and then that's it. Done! Whereas the GamesPass is a gift that keeps on giving. If I were to play through every game on it that currently interests me, and those that are due to drop during the course of this year, I'd still be playing into 2023 and possibly beyond. If you take every exclusive due to drop on the PS5 this year, had them all available right now, you'd possibly get 2 or 3 months worth of gaming at best. It would quite probably be quality gaming, but I'm not sure that it is a match for the overall games available on the GamesPass. Thankfully I have both a PS5 and GamesPass on my Series X, so I'm in a position to enjoy both, however, I think if I was forced to choose one proposition (GamesPass or the PS5 exclusives) I would choose the GamesPass without hesitation...
I tried out cyberpunk last night and it runs ok. Decided to grab a physical copy as it is still fairly cheap and I can see it go up now that the game is "finished"
Finally beat no more heroes, and celebrating the time till elden ring comes by trying out some game pass titles. I am trying out scarlet nexus, which is on my try list, and may play some warhammer. I would love to play horizon zero west, but have no PlayStation so going to have to wait on it.
I'm gonna start Pikman 3 Deluxe..
I played Cyberpunk on my PS4 at launch and wanted to enjoy it but there were so many issues I put it aside quite angry. Since then, I picked up the Series S. I tried out the free trial of Cyberpunk on it over the past few days, not really expecting much, and was completely hooked. The five hours flew by and I ended up buying it. I can’t really stop playing it honestly, it’s quite good. The atmosphere of it, the small details that I can actually see now - they all make it really fun. I’m also enjoying the combat as well quite a bit. The trial was a brilliant idea on their part, as I wouldn’t have touched the game again without it.
I'm carrying on in death's door and maybe some infinite campaign if i actually get to play on the series x vs xcloud.
@Joabra01Swe i have no issues with your gaming decisions but saying it's spring when i just got 2 back to back snow storms is offensive and I'm debating reporting your post sir!
Probably gonna get out of the house and go do a bit of fishing. They’ve been stocking the rainbows 3x a week up the river.
@Nightcrawler71 I’m a bit jealous of you. Horizon Forbidden west looks good but no PlayStation. Anyway, enjoy the weekend.
@Bmartin001 you should be excited! Be more excited!!
… sorry, that happens to be my favourite port to the Switch. I love Pikmin 3 😅
Dying Light 2 for me; a pretty poor game but killing zombies is always fun!
Horizon Forbidden West will be soaking up the next 30+ hours of my gaming life
Zoo Tycoon Friends (Windows Store) - There doesn't seem to be a workaround for this like there was on the phone, rendering this unplayable now...
Mahjong by Microsoft (Android) - Dailies and Challenge packs again.
Ridiculous Marathon (Windows Phone) - Playing here and there.
@Clankylad I’ve really been enjoying Dysmantle. Bought it on launch day and have played it most days since. Sometimes for just 10 mins, sometimes for a few hours. It’s a good game to just dip in and out of. And the map is HUGE!
@MarkD01 I just can’t seem to get into DL2, but I can’t put my finger on why because I loved the first game.
I spenr all day with King of fighters xv, playing Arcade with every possible Team Combination to unlock Videos and Albums is Hella fun. I also Play Stick of truth Like 1 or 2 hours every evening until its I get all its achievements.
Cyberpunk, Hitman Trilogy and OlliOlli World. First time playing Cyberpunk. I found it very hard to get into with a cumbersome UI and some motion sickness. But further play has been very enjoyable. Lots of weirdly likable characters, and an interesting narrative. I recommend trying it out, ignore the over the top outrage, it's actually a good game.
@Nightcrawler71 I know what you mean - I am finding it a lot less fun/more frustrating than the firstDL. Not quite Ubisoft level of bloat in it but definitely a case of more is less.
I've not been playing a huge amount of Xbox lately. I've just finished Pokemon Legends and have now dived into Horizon Forbidden West. I am working my way through RE8 slowly on the Series X though - I can only take the pressure in relatively short bursts! Will need to decide in the next few days whether I'm going to go Xbox or PS5 for Elden Ring...
It was Cyberpunk all weekend for me. My third plathrough on Series S, and such an improvement since the patch. I just wish they'd squeezed 60fps, but there's my reason to upgrade to the X eventually!
