Got this on Switch and the poor frame rate makes the game barely playable. Good to see that it won’t be Switch exclusive any longer.

Sony being like Nintendo would be a good thing. At least, they’d stop censoring games.

My problem with my Series S are games that have significant drops in resolution like Metro Exodus. In 2022 I can barely stomach 540p, when it’s not a on the small screen of a handheld machine. 1080p/(stable)30fps are totally fine. Thinking about rising electricity bills, the S is (mostly) a nice compromise between power and efficiency though.

Wow. It really looks like crap on Series S. In performance mode, it has N64 levels of fog. Quality mode lets the game stutter frequently. D:

@Banjo- Thanks. Good to read, that technical benefits can also be expected when playing not-improved versions of Xbox One games. I’m hoping for a patch then, since the Smurfs' framerate problem seems to be a more game specific thing instead of lacking console horsepower.

@Banjo- Ah, I see. Maybe, the game is badly optimized then. Xbox One games should automatically get improved fps and/or resolution when running on Series S or X, is that correct?

I wouldn’t recommend to play this on Series S though. Had a rough time myself with a choppy framerate on Microsoft’s small console.

@themightyant I agree. It’s cool for families with few TVs and gamers that travel a lot. It’s better to play Witcher 3, Skyrim, etc. on the go with some downgrades than not being possible to play them at all.

@notleks_ My thoughts exactly. I think, the Switch is still overhyped. I know a lot of people who went with the hype, bought a Switch and were disappointed then. Myself included. It’s still good for one or two of its exclusives that aren’t Wii U ports though.
