In case it totally slipped your mind, a remake of the 2012 Xbox 360 title Lollipop Chainsaw was officially announced last year, and it's definitely still on the way - but it's now been given a "Summer 2024" release window.
The delay from a 2023 launch was announced on Twitter earlier today, alongside the official name (and logo) for the game - "Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP". Here's a look at the confirmation on Twitter:
Little is known about Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP right now, but Dragami Games is the developer on the title - which is led by Lollipop Chainsaw's former producer, Yoshimi Yasuda. In a statement last year, Yasuda explained that the studuo "did not want to leave [the IP] in limbo", and therefore purchased it with a view to creating this remake.
While it seems that quite a few of the original development team behind the 2012 original are working on this remake, creative director Suda 91 and co-writer James Gunn have already confirmed they're not involved with the project.

I wonder whats happened to the Shadows of the damned Remaster.
Grasshopper, for the good that they do, made some real stinkers. This is one of them. These remakes that never needed to happen are becoming the norm in publishing. The industry is going in the wrong direction and fast.
I actually liked the game back when it was on 360. Not the best game in the world of course but still enjoyable. Is it even possible for a game like this to exist in this era?
Can't wait to read "It's only censored on PlayStation" again.
@Snake_V5 could be stuck in Electronic Arts hell.
@Snake_V5 I wonder what happened to The Last Night. 😒
Western release censorship in 3... 2... 1...
@Cashews
Agreed. I called the previous generation the remaster generation. This generation so far is labelling itself the remake generation.
Additionally, we are still waiting for generational leap games. It is hard for me to listen to publishers say that their games are next generation when they ship the same game on XB One and PS4. Or also make the game for Nintendo Switch. If you can ship the game on those devices how can you term it a generational leap?
