I Loved playing Grand Tourismo on PS1 and PS2 so I'm thinking I'll be able to sink a decent amount of time here but I'm not a hardcore sim guy. I do hope that the digital gear heads get everything they want out of this.

Seems like it's a big divide in folks either only expecting what they have said would be at the show or expecting a January E3. I think it's just going to be what they promised with some GP titles announced for February as well. It looks like they will be trying this direct format for 2023 to see if more frequent shows about upcoming launches will work for them like Sony and Nintendo with hopefully a good E3 for initial announcements. I'd rather more frequent shows with some small surprises in them vs just one big show in June.

I really really hope that they learned from the whole debacle that's Halo Infinite. From the fact they didn't know it wasn't in a launchable state until the last show before the launch of the series X, had no content ready post launch to having to actually issue this statement.... this was a massive internal failure. This must have driven changes to how they managed studios surely.

I imagine whatever they have for Feb will be announced in the show next week or just before or after it

I'll have to play it before it leaves then, campaign is supposed to be good from what I heard. Don't care about the end game stuff

@Welsh_Will i'm gaming for free from here on in as my current 2 years of GPU is all from rewards points. I put $120 towards my headset and used at least $30 for Xbox credit in the past 2 years as well all from just doing the searches and GPU quests.

Well I'm officially playing through all of broken age now lol. It was on my play later list and I'm really enjoying it. I didn't do last weeks Dishonoured 2 quest so I won't be committing to all the weekly quests but hoping to do at least 3 of the 250 point quests if possible to rack them points up.

@Would_you_kindly you try n convince a board to spend $70B+ on video games and you'll get awards too I'm sure lol

I'm looking forward to/:
1) that Alice in wonderland game (forgot the title)
2) Redfall
3) Atomic Heart
4) Starfield
5) Diablo (if in gamepass) if not then Hellblade 2

Pretty sure infinite isn't going to be a 10 year game. Although at the rate they release content it might just be 1-2 campaign expansions anyways.

Really enjoyed it, still play the multiplayer with my buddies. Going to get them to play co-op campaign. Really hope they can improve it some more still but if not it's still my most played game by long shot.

@NEStalgia @somebody i personally don't care if it's delayed a bit but they had a show specifically stating what's coming out in the next 12 months and 6 months later changing their tune. They don't have any goodwill to burn so why keep making these mistakes? If you don't have a locked date just keep quiet. Could have just said 2023 but they locked themselves in for 12 months. Not cool.

If it's delayed out of the first half you might as well never do the coming in the next 12 months show again. Just a massive loss of trust.

That said this year will be packed with games and folks outside of the hardcore circles couldn't care any less if it's delayed a bit more...they just want good games.

I wasn't on Xbox when this whole mess started but why are people so horny for this thing? The developers of the game haven't put out anything above mediocre and are going to be bankrupt if they don't get bought out most likely. They basically used MS money for other games is my understanding....why would you work with them again?

@stinkyx the slab was a good read. I only played a portion of gears 1 so i still have to play through the whole series at some point

Fallen order was pretty awesome. I didn't care about getting all the ponchos bit the story was fantastic as were the graphics and combat.

Deaths door was also a fantastic game. Really loved the art style and the music/sound effects was stellar. I would need a second playthrough to get the 100%, i started one, but I just don't have the time to chase achievements vs playing something new.

Lastly i still have to restart and finish hellblade, finished the first level 2 years ago...with guides cuz the puzzles get annoying at times.

I'm trying to finish nobody saves the world but i might be coming up short by the 15th, we'll see how it goes.

@Tharsman full-time job with OT, kids with a ton of activities and a wife who needs time together to get the good stuff....i just don't have time to spend on things i used to do a lot of. So TV consumption has tanked for my shows/movies as I'd rather play given the chance. But i remember rewatching a favorite movie a few times a year....now I'll watch a few movies in a year and mostly kid ones lol.

It all depends on the gamer but i personally like the smaller indie games over the blockbusters. Haven't tried tunic yet but it's on my list to play. If it wasn't in gamepass it wouldn't be on my list to play. So definitely a threat to folks that don't get into the service because for me and likely many others gamepass is what I play.

Dates for all the titles they mentioned for the show are a must along with gameplay. Some dates or initial announcements for some gamepass titles would be a bonus

If it's part of gamepass i might try some of the games, if it's not i have too much to play already so not paying for another service. I had AC Valhalla from my brother for like 6 months and never even installed it so definitely not a big pull for me personally. Sure folks that love their games will find value in this.

It's really hard to look past Starfield when you see Skyrim being played still to this day. It doesn't have to be for everyone but it's definitely going to be for a lot of folks.

Finally playing nobody saves the world since it's leaving the service at some point. Fantastic game so far, really loving the art style and starting to get good at switching forms on the go.

They better have a show in Jan/Feb. Did they pull a bunch of stuff from the game awards for their show? Or we're they never going to show anything there? Why send all your execs to the show with nothing?

They need a show in Jan or Feb to show what's coming in 2023. Waiting for June definitely isn't okay

From the start there's been nothing worthy brought up to show this is anything but a positive move. Sony is naturally worried, Blockbuster worried some would say, but that's because it forces competition and change upon them when they are happy with thing's as they are now. From an investor, employee and consumer standpoint this is good. From the existing market leader it's bad...so everything says it's good for competition.

Come on Diablo baby! Can't wait to play it in gamepass.

Well for whatever reason the Elden Ring DLC was announced already outside of the show. Didn't make the cut in the shorter show. I'll just review the announcements afterwards and see if there's any trailer's I want to see on YouTube

@Kaloudz would make sense but by keeping it the same it would maybe get more subs....and everyone loves subscription cash each month. Well have to wait and see, i soley play gamepass and don't care much for the increase in games....the GPU price is what I want to know about

Is there a fine or anything for misleading the commissions? I hope they at least do a deeper dive into the Sony practices as a result, I'm sure a lot of those details were in the redacted parts released earlier. Sony is definitely loosing a lot of respect as a company with Jimbo at helm.

My type of game, i hope it has touch controls so i can play it on the phone easily.

Likely not optimized and will get patched later as is the norm. With the large audience on series s you would think it would be a priority for optimizing with the other consoles. Maybe the stats show that most don't care? Or the devs just not prioritizing it?

@Somebody i forgot about the cloud saves. Being able to play across multiple devices is great. With xcloud is like having the Xbox in your pocket at times.

The first Xbox i ever bought and my favorite things are the BC allowing me to play across generations on one machine, quick resume is great, how quiet it is and gamepass!

High on life is going to be epic! Gonna hold out for a bit to see if it needs patching before I play it. Expecting a great time.

Honestly just do your checks and balances in the background and stop announcing things lol. Just so bored if this topic. Do what you gotta do, talk to each other as it has always been the practice and let us know the outcome. It's always been expected for 2023, they knew that phase 2 was going to happen, Brazil and Saudi Arabia was likely unexpected to go as fast. I'm going to do my part and not read or comment on these articles no more until it's actually an outcome announcement

@Snake_V5 its on PC and can run on a set-up weaker than the S no? It's not on Xbox because Square n Sony made a deal.

So you're saying it's just another game released uncompleted and will eventually get patched to be the product it was actually intended to be? I don't buy games, i just play gamepass, and i still wait for a few patches before playing anything that's just been released because it's never a finished product. Want the devs to listen to you about not liking this....don't buy n play their games until 6 months post launch.... money is the only voice they listen to.

I haven't played a wrestling game since WCW vs. NWO on the N64! If it's in gamepass I might give it a go. Don't know any of the wrestlers but dropkicking folks in the face could be fun regardless.

@Kaloudz lol that's so true. They only times I ever actually notice the fine details in any game is if I'm watching someone else play. Gameplay over graphics will always be more important, but having a looker ain't bad either. I'm just excited for Forge and some new maps. I won't be using forge, just waiting for the creative folks to come up with some awesome stuff.

Secondly....I'm so excited to play this game. Like everything I'll wait for the first wave of patches as it doesn't seem anything is finished at launch anymore and i don't want my experience spoiled by some odd bug. But the colours, art style and humor look amazing.

@ThatFilbo didn't these guys relocate to finish the game? Are they still in Russia?

If the CMA is the only one to add restrictions is it only applicable in the UK? Microsoft can always break the deal, they just have to pay for that action. Given all the ***** Sony's been doing I really hope they do that. Sony can always pay to have CoD on PS+ afterall. Like they said, they might not welcome the competition, but they can certainly compete.

I'm going to wait for at least the first round of patches. Loved the first game, looking forward to this.... just don't want to play it until it's finished....so post launch naturally lol

@Dr_Luigi even with my limited knowledge i was expecting a ray tracing 30 option abd a 60-120 non ray tracing mode. Just give folks the option to play how they want. The ability to select your options was also a big promise at the beginning, for Xbox at least no?

Lots of talk about 120 FPS when these babies were launching so 30 FPS should be a thing of the past. Now I'll admit i know nothing about technology but that should be more of an argument against the 30FPS as I was clearly lead to believe that 60+120 fps was going to be the norm. They talked a lot about you not seeing the major differences in the looks of games, instead in the way it feels, was all about FPS. Now make it happen.

For Gotham Knights it will be 6-12 months and a patch will be out raising the framerate....so not impossible....you just didn't get around to it.

A game isn't ready to play as intended for a year after launch it seems, so don't pre-order and rush to play it if you want that best experience unfortunately.

They gonna patch the impossible 60 FPS a few months later.

They pushing the game out for Q4 earnings and nothing else. A ton of negative press now just ruined a lot of hype that was building up...these mofos be livin la Vida Loca for sure.

@EliSweetG i found that issue but whenever I was playing in my phone with touch controls. Playing in the Xbox or even the phone with a controller made a massive difference. A boss i died on like 5 times with touch controls was a cake walk with the controller.

I managed to play Bloodroots and Echo Generations.

Bloodroots was fun and if you like replaying levels for a high score it has replayability, not my jam but the main playthrough was good. Liked the fast paced action and killing folks with a squirrel is always a plus.

Echo Generations was amazing. Highly recommended you give it a go @Lup especially with the discount of it leaving gamepass. Start it up today if you have a chance and see if you like it and want to continue. I just wrapped it up last night for the full 1K GS.
