Re: Rare's Everwild Set To Feature A 'Large Scale Multiplayer World'

Altaria_97

Really hoping there is a strong single-player element to this game. It looked like such a cool world and has the potential to have a really cool story and exploration around it. Playing co-op campaign games with any more than one other person usually really hinders the story and atmosphere of these type of games for me.

Re: Eight Great Alternatives To Gran Turismo 7 On Xbox Game Pass

Altaria_97

Still can’t believe Forza Motorsport 7 is already delisted. I know it’s most likely due to licensing stuff but they could extend the lifespan of one of their biggest franchises?

Definitely recommend picking them up physically. The GRID titles are also good fun, if a bit easier to handle due to feeing a bit more “arcade” like.

Re: Microsoft Is Buying Activision Blizzard, Reportedly For $70 Billion

Altaria_97

I think this is good news for me. Outside of the whole… Activision/Blizzard being a bad company thing, I guess this means the Blizzard client will phase out and everything will eventually merge into the XBOX/Steam clients. Plus cross-buy support being likely as well… this is all good stuff.

Also hoping they can change the company culture for the better. The developers are no doubt talented (I thought the recent Crash, Spyro, Tony Hawk, and even CoD Vanguard we’re all great) but everything from employee fairness and financial/game decisions could be improved. Maybe they’ll do something crazy new with CoD and Overwatch, or maybe they’ll focus more on Spyro, Crash, and Tony Hawk titles given their (apparent) success.

It’s hard to tell what will change exactly, but I’m remaining hopeful.

Re: Xbox Series S Reportedly Outsells Series X In Various Key Markets

Altaria_97

I don’t know all of the supply logistics but… it’s nearly impossible to get a Series X without constantly praying for in-stock bots and accounts to net you one. Meanwhile the Series S is available on Best Buy’s website almost 24/7, among being in store at a lot of retailers (at least in my area). I’m curious if Microsoft intentionally manufactured more Series S units, either to promote digital sales or just because they are more accessible to make.

Re: Review: Call Of Duty: Vanguard - An Enjoyable, Yet Familiar Romp

Altaria_97

A lot of my old high school buddies randomly decided that this is the CoD they all wanted to finally jump back in on. So I picked it up after not playing one in a good while.

To my surprise, I’m really enjoying it so far. Granted, I’ve only touched multiplayer, but everything about it seems very well done. I love just about all of the maps, the gameplay feels fast and tight, the visuals are very good looking, the customization is awesome as always, there are a lot of unlockables and rewards to work toward, and some small things that weren’t in the older CoDs I played like picking an MVP are really neat.

I gotta give the campaign and Zombies and play but overall… I’m surprised how much I’m enjoying it. I’m sure a lot of it is just nostalgia, though!

Re: Rumour: There's Still A Belief That Forza Horizon 5 Could Arrive This Year

Altaria_97

I hadn’t even considered Horizon 5 being a thing for this year due to the lack of an announcement and Playground Games developing the new Fable.

But I would LOVE to be wrong. The Horizon games are my favorite Microsoft exclusives, 3 being me personal favorite. I really hope the first two titles make it to PC and a fifth entry coming out this year would make me very hyped!

Re: Poll: How Expensive Will The Xbox Series X Be At Launch?

Altaria_97

I’m guessing $500. Milk that price for 2020 and maybe mark it down to $450 or $400 for the following holiday season. Sony will probably do the same, maybe put the PS5s slightly lower. Either way, I have a powerful gaming computer so I have no need for a new XBOX. I’m just excited for the games!!!

Re: So Long, And Thanks for All the Clicks

Altaria_97

Wow, this is very sad and I didn't see this coming at all. I loved using all three of these sites as I'm an all-around gamer, so it'll be odd not to have anywhere to talk about the XBOX One. Thanks for all of content guys, as well as the rest of community that made the site what it is. Hope for the best and I'll keep my fingers crossed for a comeback!

Til then, I guess I'll see most of you guys on pushsquare and nintendolife!

Re: E3 2016: Forza Horizon 3 Freebies Detailed for Forza Rewards Tiers

Altaria_97

Ummmm, Forza Rewards user? What exactly is that? I've been playing Forza games for a long time now. I own Forza 2, 4, 5, and 6, as well as Horizon 2. Does that automatically make me a member? Or did I need to sign up for this somewhere? I'll try to look this up online, but if someone could fill me in on this, that would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I looked it up and found out I'm tier 5. I probably would have been higher up if I didn't make a new gamertag when I got my XBOX One. I would have really liked that Ford GT or McLaren. But a BMW is always nice.

Re: E3 2016: Dead Rising 4 Screenshots Leaked

Altaria_97

This seems pretty cool. To be honest, I've never actually played any of the Dead Rising games. I liked the idea of being trapped in a mall in the first two games, but the third one never interested me. The Christmas vibe in this title seems interesting, though. I'll keep an eye on it.

Re: Capcom Confirms Resident Evil 4/5/6 for Xbox One

Altaria_97

The only Resident Evil game I have played is Revelations, and I enjoyed it a lot. The reason why I haven't played any other titles in the series is because I hear too many mixed things about the series. I think I'll get around to picking up Revelations 2 and some of the earlier titles later this year.

Re: Get Excited for Xbox One's 2016 Lineup With This New Trailer

Altaria_97

The XBOX ONE has a surprisingly solid lineup this year. Quantum Break is looking really promising, ReCore looks like a fresh action title from the creators of Metroid Prime, CupHeads looks insanely unique and challenging, Gears of War 4 will probably be good, and Halo Wars 2 is looks to be a great sequel to an underrated title, Gigantic looks like a really addicting MOBA, and Crackdown 3 and Sea of Thieves look pretty interesting too.

Then there are all of the third party games such as Final Fantasy XV and Dark Souls III. This will be a great year for gaming no matter what platform(s) you own.

Re: Happy New Year: Here's The List of Xbox One and Windows 10 Exclusives Due in 2016

Altaria_97

With Scalebound out, my most anticipated game for 2016 is probably ReCore. I know we know nothing of it in terms of gameplay, but the atmosphere and sense of adventure look promising and it's being made by the team behind Metroid Prime. Aside from that, I'm also excited for Halo Wars 2, Gears of War 4, Quantum Break, Gigantic, and Cuphead. While the PS4 exclusives look a bit stronger this year, I can't say that I'm not excited for these XBOX ONE games.

Re: Review: Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition (Xbox One)

Altaria_97

Wow, I'm really surprised to hear about this. How could they mess up a port this badly? I was highly considering picking this up since the game doesn't run on my laptop too well (my processor and graphics card are outdated as of now). I'll probably just wait until I can afford a gaming desktop to finally play this... but who knows when that will be.
