Update (Wed 23rd Mar, 2022): Following the report back in February that Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League would be getting a delay, that has now officially been confirmed by Rocksteady Games, with a statement from co-founder Sefton Hill explaining on Twitter that it was a "difficult decision" to make.
Here's Hill's full message, confirming the new release window as Spring 2023:
Original story (Wed 2nd Feb, 2022): Bad news if you were looking forward to Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League this year! According to a report from Bloomberg, the game has been quietly delayed to 2023, although nothing official has been announced as of yet.
The outlet says that it's heard this from "people familiar with development".
The most recent public showing for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League came back at The Game Awards 2021, when we were treated to an impressive new gameplay trailer — although no release date was given beyond "2022".
We'll let you know if and when this delay gets officially confirmed... but it sounds like it's pretty legit.

With the amount of games coming out these days, delaying a huge game like this is not a problem. Better to delay a great game than have a poopy release.
This was to be expected. It would have been much more surprising if it actually came out in 2022.
After reading dying light 2 reviews which I was hoping was going to be full of praise these companies need to get these games right and polished and less bugs. Also not to make big promises that don’t really materialise in the real game.
Since they never really gave a release date, I don’t look at it as a delay. Maybe the developers thought it would be done in 2022, but if they need to take an extra year to get things right, then that’s not really “bad news.”
Well let’s start the year as we mean to go on.
It will be remaster announcement time soon. 😂
Joking aside it’s not a great start to the new year
With dying light 2, not setting the reviews alight.
Stalker 2 delayed until December 2022.
All hopes on Elden Ring now.
Plenty coming out this year already, so I'm not terribly upset. That said, the back end of the is currently looking a little light. Personally, I could see each of the big exclusives from the main 3 - God of War, Starfield and Breath of the wild 2 all slipping into 2023
I still want Gotham Knights this year... The demo they showed 2 years ago looked great, so I hope it is almost done.
@PapaGlitch it’s intentionally left light, I’d imagine. We don’t have many Q2 releases announced, let alone Q3 or Q4. My guess is that a lot of games are in a good position, but I’m sure that there’s conversations about logistics to make sure there’s a continuous release schedule in the year.
As a huge fan of their Batman games, I dislike everything I’ve seen of Suicide Squad so far. Just doesn’t look like my cup of tea.
@everynowandben
It wouldn't have been surprising coming out in 2022. It would've been disappointing, because we all know what state it would probably have released in.
This seems like great news - at least its moving in the right direction. Delay and keep working.
That's no surprise. And if Gotham Knights is still coming this year its the right call. Gives both games time to breathe.
There's so much to play in 2022, I'm fine with that.
No surprises here
WB has a bunch of games due this year including Hogwarts and Gotham Knights, its probably for the best that they push this back a little.
@everynowandben this and why cannibalise their own game with gotham Knights confirmed for this year already
Lol I already thought this was a 2023 game. We already gave Gotham Knights and a ton of other crazy games releasing this year, take your time and make the best game you can!
