Re: Reaction: PlayStation's Showcase Was A Win For Xbox, Whichever Way You Slice It

UltimateOtaku91

It was pretty bad for first party content especially after 18 months of no showcases but overall with the great looking indies, excellent spiderman 2 and hell divers 2 gameplay trailers, and the multitude of great third party titles, it wasn't a bad show by any means. But the Internet and fake fans like to over react by saying it was a s**t show etc.
Which I think is especially unfair on those indie devs who worked hard on those games just to look at the fans backlash and make them feel crappy about their games like they aren't good enough.

Re: SEGA Considers Following Xbox, PlayStation & Nintendo In Charging $70 For AAA Games

UltimateOtaku91

Personally I would judge a price tag by the content the game has to offer. I would gladly pay £70 for Zelda TOTK, HZD, God of war Ragnarok, Elden Ring, FH5, Hogwarts Legacy etc. But no way in hell am I paying that for games like Redfall, Cyberpunk 2077, Fifa, Soul Hackers, and any other games that are lacking in content, buggy, perform like crap and missing features.

If Devs want me to pay £70 then they must make sure they have made a quality finished product on release, show they have put some care into their creation before asking money for it.

Re: Blizzard Has Axed Overwatch 2's PvE Hero Mode

UltimateOtaku91

So the only thing that was worthy of calling this game Overwatch 2 has gone, so basically this is just Overwatch 1.1 which they did just to get more money from people via battle passes. What a way to ruin one of my favourite multiplayer games from last gen, the sole reason I was excited for overwatch 2 was those promised PvE missions, Maybe we will see them in Overwatch 3 where they charge £70 for the base game and still include battle passes.

Re: EU Makes Microsoft 'Automatically License' ActiBlizz Cloud Games Post-Merger

UltimateOtaku91

@Widey85 Yeah I do see streaming as the main way to game in 20 years time, but some work is needed. For all the flak Google stadia got I do give them credit as their servers were pretty good, they could run 4k streaming and even on mobile it was 1080p and ran perfectly on 50mps for me whilst xcloud is only 720p on mobile and 1080 on PC.

My main concern is Bluetooth controllers and headphones as I've noticed audio delay and controller lag on both stadia and xcloud with those connected via Bluetooth

Re: UK CMA Issues Official Response To EU's Activision Blizzard Verdict

UltimateOtaku91

So Microsoft would have control of the cloud streaming market and with that control they will bring Activision games to more subscription services which is a very positive thing, but at the same time with that control they can restrict who gets those deals in the future and may decide not continue with deals after they've ended meaning Microsoft could have complete dominance over the streaming market at the click of a finger.

So it ends up being a positive and a negative so I can see why different decisions are being made.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (May 13-14)

UltimateOtaku91

On PS5 i will most likely be giving God of War Ragnarok a break for a little bit for reasons below, if I do jump on playstation I will most likely be playing YS 8 lacrimosa of Dana as I'm close to finishing it.

On Switch its going to be a weekend of Zelda TOTK, il be seeing how far I can go in the first chasm with 4 hearts.

And on Xbox I started Ravenlok last night so I may continue with that for an hour on the night.

Re: Xbox Congratulates Nintendo On The Release Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom

UltimateOtaku91

@Kaloudz Exactly, two bad games and everyone thinks they can't make games properly although I do admit they are rubbish at managing their studios in terms of having development problems and getting releases out consistently, but not in terms of final quality, there's also people that tally up all the third party game pass flops such as Scorn and High on Life and blame Xbox for those too. You have too feel for Xbox right now as no matter what they do they will get hate for it, Starfield could end up being a 8/10 or 9/10 and it still wouldn't be good enough if its not game of the year.

Re: Reaction: Zelda Reviews & Redfall Woes Put The Pressure On Xbox Exclusive Starfield

UltimateOtaku91

Well Zelda has set the bar high, it's the highest rated game ever on open critic and currently a 96 on metacritic with more reviews getting added so could end up higher. I don't think other game developers and their fans should be looking at zelda as a benchmark to reach as straight away they are setting themselves up for disappointment. As long as Starfield isn't a buggy mess, look great and has that trademark skyrim/fallout formula then it will be very successful, I fully expect it to rate between 80-90 on metacritic which I think is acceptable to everyone.

Starfield not being game of the year does not mean failure.

Re: EU 'Expected' To Approve Xbox Activision Blizzard Deal Next Week

UltimateOtaku91

@somnambulance I think the deal will be approved in the EU, I think the CMA just wanted to be "that" one to think they are higher than the big corporations, they've done it with a few other big boys and came out on top but this time they will be pressured by the FTC and EU passing the deal.

In terms of their vintage titles I hope they can revive Prototype and True Crime, and maybe bring back skylanders but without the toy B.S.
Hopefully they don't go down the route of just making multiplayer online games and filling every game with MTX.
