Today's PlayStation Showcase 2023 is officially done and dusted, and although nothing was mentioned about Xbox during the event itself, we've since been treated to a bunch of confirmations that you'll definitely want to know about!
This includes the announcement of the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake, a new date and gameplay for Assassin's Creed Mirage, a first look at Alan Wake 2, the announcement of Marathon from Bungie, and a trailer for Dragon's Dogma 2!
We'll keep adding to the list below if more titles are announced as getting Xbox versions, but in the meantime, here's the full list of games from the event that have been announced for Xbox so far:
The Talos Principle 2 (2023)
"Coming to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X in 2023, The Talos Principle 2 greatly expands on the beloved original with more mind-bending puzzles to solve, new puzzle mechanics, a richer storyline, more secrets to uncover, and the biggest, weirdest world Croteam has ever built."

@FraserG You posted MGS Delta trailer twice.
Omdz, Talos Principle 2!!!!
With all the talk of xbox being doomed because of one game not being quite good enough, am I the only person thinking "oh my God there is a TON of games coming this year already!"
@GamingFan4Lyf Fixed!
@FraserG Very well.
And can we please talk about Max Payne in Alan Wake 2?
I guess that links the majority of the Remedy-verse together! Only one missing now is Quantum Break.
its the worst showcase i ever seen that i start playing on Re3R till the show ended ....is this the exclsuive powerhouse? even 3rd party games shown was average and spiderman2 is....you know another spiderman nothing graphically currernt gen or next gen because obviously we still on the ps4 era
Metal Gear for sure, they rest passable. Nothing too exciting from that group
@redd214 totally agree, seem like PS lost their touch with PS4, its all about recucling games and buying 3rd party titles
One of the worst showcases I've ever seen.
@TakeItEasy PlayStation first party showing was poor yes, but calling the third party offerings average is a bit extreme.
I hope MS don’t focus much more time into these titles and uses the time for more of their exclusives or timed deals. Someone tell me i am just dead wrong and to be quiet, but could we see a new controller for Xbox at this show? Say like an Elite 3 announcement or a controller with dual sense like features that Phil said two years ago they would like to make? I feel like it’s time to have a few seconds of the show to show off something hardware wise to get excited about in the back half of 2023.
Pirates of the Purribean 😂 should win GOTY for its name alone.
@BrilliantBill I didn't hear his name. Okay, so it is a different character.
I also didn't know Rockstar owned the Max Payne IP. That's disappointing.
@Kaloudz everything is multi except VR games and spiderman 2....or what i call spiderman 1.2
Gotta love Xboxs tweet ...oooohhhh burn

@UltimateOtaku91 it was boring for me yes i want MGS and alan wake 2 but their was no gameplay or nothing only a teaser and a CGItrailer
First party for PS will have a decline i can smell it, sony is recycling games and people will take notice, and other studios arw working on 5 live service games (i hate those) , means sony is dping a big gumble as they got 21 studios half of them are support studios, in other words microsoft if done right can grab some territory from sony, but they need to up their game
@BrilliantBill Yeah, but I wish Remedy had its own control (no pun intended) of the IP.
Well James McCaffery was also the voice of the former director in Control - but used his likeness too.
And Jesse Faden look very different from Beth Wilder.
Everything about who we are assuming is Alex Casey is spot-on old-school Max Payne (hence why I was excited): face, voice, cadence, clothes.
Kind of less excited about the character now. LOL!
Nice W from Xbox. Good to see it for a change (as hifi rush feels like it was in other year already...). Let's hope the momentum is kept to the showcase where I really hope they do better than today's presentation (the bar is not high at all)
Oh, my pooooooor wallet...
My only problem with Spider-Man 2 is that it just kinda....looks like exactly what you would expect, if that makes sense. I'm sure it will be great. Overall, you can REALLY see the impact of Sony's decision to only focus on the blockbusters. Lots of live service and safe bets.
@BrilliantBill Speaking of which, I really should replay Quantum Break on the Series X. 🤔
It was actually a pretty great game!
@Balta666 forza will be great and if starfield is the game it look like to be, xbox will have a great year, oh and what about stalker 2 coming this year that would be like a nuclear bomb in 2023
@TakeItEasy live service games the cancer of gaming no gamer wants that rubbish when the day single player dies in gaming is day I'm done with it all I have no interest in multilayer games
@BrilliantBill bungie straight up said they would remain myltiplatform as part of their agreement when acquired. Ps wanted them to help with the live service games which are a total wast in the industry
@Dan1283 amen to that. And for the love of God, can someone tell Square enix to stop chasing trends. Foamblaster or whatever is total garbage
Awesome, So many great games coming to Xbox..
@Bmartin001 there was nearly as many xbox games at the showcase crazy 😂
Wow the Sony reveal was truly awful. Amazed that anyone would be happy with that!
Btw to be clear, I own both consoles.
Really curious if that Metal Gear Collection is coming to Xbox. Metal Gear Solid has never graced Xbox, and would be nice to finally have that one on board.
They have there place these games do for other people i have no interest in them though at all and never will so as long as single player games are made I'm happy I still believe these games are a way to fleece gamers out of money
@TakeItEasy definitely don't agree with that at all, but was definitely a poor showing.
@Tharsman There are multiple Metal Gear Solid games on Xbox including on the original Xbox.
I need to purrpare myself for the new Cat Quest
@ZYDIO I’m specifically talking about “Metal Gear Solid”, the first PSX one. That one never got ported to Xbox consoles, although it got a PC port.
@Tharsman Oh, ok. I thought you were just referring to Metal Gear Solid games in general.
IMO the best collection of games from the showcase and all multiplayer, now I can see them properly at proper resolutions and quality, they look good. I’ll play a few of these.
@Moonglow Wrong on Unreal Engine, it existed for years before Fortnite and is a mass adopted games engine across the gaming industry and now film industry, it’ll be around and developed regardless if Fortnite exists or not.
Not so sure about the rest of your comment either?
Dragons Dogma 2 was a highlight for me. But was worried it may be a timed PS exclusive 😕 so happy it's not. Another Square Enix game missing Xbox. Spiderman 2 didn't blow me away to be fair.
Is Foamstars multiplat? Bungie repping their multiplatform statement they made when they got acquired which is good but Square-Enix still isn’t even for an online gaas (I assume) shooter?
@Rmg0731 I showed my 11 year old son all the games that were age appropriate for him.
His response to Foamstars:
“That’s a bad knock off Splatoon. I’m sticking with Splatoon.”
Yeah. The PS showcase was great for Xbox. I wonder if any of these games will come to Gamepass. A lot of what was shown yesterday were the kind of games I would love to try out but not buy full price.
@TakeItEasy the showcase has to be more than what we already know. I would like to see something from the many projects for next 18months (avowed, perfect Dark, contrabando, Gears, etc). Stalker 2 I doubt it will be anytinme soon as the Dev is from Ukraine...
Where was all the gameplay. Barely anything but CGI trailers the whole hour. So boring
@Balta666 yet they posted a tease just 2 weeks ago,and yes of course we ganna see avowed thats almost confirmed by phil, of they add any other game it will overkill for sony showcase
@TakeItEasy ok , I missed that. let's hope they managed to work on it
@Balta666 if this showcase is anything like the devoloper format that happened in in Q1 i will more than hapoy
This is one reason the console wars makes less sense with PS and Xbox than the 90's. They have 95% of the same library and have since Xbox entered the market.
I expected the games to come to Xbox. The best news is that Konami is back to serious development (or serious outsourcing) but I wouldn't hire Bloober for Silent Hill. The MGS3 trailer looks awesome but there is a disclaimer, "No actual gameplay footage". Good to see Konami back, though.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 was all I needed to see. Can’t wait!
@TakeItEasy
I thought the same thing with Spider-Man 2, it looks marginally better than Spider-Man on the PS4. Also everyone that's stoked about Metal Gear Delta, it has no involvement from its original creator and is instead handled by the people who though Metal Gear Survive was a good idea.
@ZuneTattooGuy i would say xbox showcase i automatically better... They cant screw it worst than sony could they? Phil! Do it right! Suprise me
@GamingFan4Lyf Yes! I am kind of sad that the only one they are leaving behind is Quantum Break. I don't know if it's because is still an Xbox exclusive, but I would like to see it included in the Remedy-verse.
@BrilliantBill I'm wondering if they had this in the works and perhaps a deal signed with Xbox, before Sony bought Bungie. Similar to how Ghostwire Tokyo and Deathloop were when Xbox bought Zenimax.

@TakeItEasy buying third party titles... the irony is rich in that comment.
@GiveMeMoney no. Sony bought Bungie and told them they can make any IP they want and not be locked into one title like they were with Halo, which is why they left Microsoft. They also said they could release their games on any platform they want, but they get a first look obviously. I'm sure if they think it's a monster IP, they'll pay Bungie more for exclusivity.
All this showcase did was convince me why i don’t need a playstation. I’ll happily play the games that actually looked interesting elsewhere …
This showcase just shows how gaming is changing in general. Having most of their games on all or multiple platforms is what the gaming world normal will eventually be.
There is no way around this reality. Exclusives will dwindle as they are too expensive to have on only one platform.
