Way more the. 50 I play slot of smaller indie titles as not knowing how much free time sometimes I have it's easier to pickup 2-5 hour titles

That is way longer then I thought.. so outside of some times exclusives we won't see a true first party exclusive for at least a year from the console launch.. that is kinda insane

This sounds like somewherw in the supply chain from the time it's set to be shipped out to the delivery someone is able to access the box steal the console and dip another item in so at least it shows deliveried.. then sell it off in the after market

I heard a few with ps5 say the same thing. The controller when playing Astros is amazing. Then if you play cod to make it a even right with cross play you got to disable the resistance on the trigger or you are at a disadvantage

Finally bringing yakuza to xbox with day one gamepass and anext gen timed exclusive for the newest entry
Microsoft helping bring pso2 finally to the west as a timed(?) Exclusive and the follow up as a timed(?) Exclusive.
In recent years there relationship has become very close and a positive one for sega

@Medic_Alert that is more what I think you don't tease a buyout unless it was already all signed and they are just waiting to announce it.
But I think they would have done that again before the series x launch.
This if anything is teasing a new exclusive or partnership for gamepass

@Carck I don't think it is a buyout but many japanese companies are owned by foreign ones. Last I heard was around 30% of all larger companies in jalan are owned by outside international interest. My college roommate was moved to japan for his company as the liason. To make sure the transition of power went smoothly
The laws are more they have to gurantee the offices stay in japan and such. But if they sign contracts sammy could easily sell the full gaming divison of sega.

@Carck first I do agree with you on this.

But it isn't hard for microsoft to just buy the ganing divison from sega sammy. As yes they sold the arcade divison but that loss doesn't just go away but selling it off. If that sell didn't recoup cost and microsoft came in with a solid offer to offset the remainder or even a profit they may take it.

Again I think you are right and don't see this happening but it would be a big get for microsoft sega sits on a pile of some of the most nostalgic ips outside of nintendo.

The rights overall are messy but the digital rights are pretty set. They were squired by fasa back in the day which microsoft bought them. And gained the rights once they decided they didn't want to make a mech warrior game licensed it out to these guys.
The board game/books side is a whole other story

I don't know all the details but doesnt microsoft own the electronic rights to mechwarrior franchise. But licensed it out to the developers of mechwarrior 5?

So this does make alot of sense to bring to xbox

Rise of the tomb raider - Xbox steps in with an estimated 20 mill to make 1 year timed exclusive which takes off pressure and marketing cost as xbox is putting it with there (if anyone remembers) greatest xbox games line up 2015. Game sells extremely well (mostly on pc) and ps4 a year later due to abysmal xbox one console sales.
Deus ex mankind divide - under performs enough to cease development on the series going forward
Just case 4 under performs haulting any talk of more games and quickly tossing it on gamepass and playstation plus to try to recoup costs
Hitman 1-2 - do not perform anywhere near expected and io interactives buying there way out of being a square owned studio as rumour was square was about to shut them down
Shadow of the tomb raider comes out- under performs quickly tossed on gamepass /playstation to recoup costs

So with all that I get nobody wanted a gaas but unless say xbox or sony stepped in to make it a timed exclusive. No company in there right mind would say yeah continue along this path.
Also the spiderman thing sucks but this game went over budget and sony was willing to help pay marketing costs if they got spiderman as exclusive. (Xbox doesn't make this deals anymore since phil stepped in)

I do expect them to make a gta 6 but the single player will be much smaller and have a much bigger focus with a revamped gta online

There okay I have 2 of them already. But games with gold has lost a lot of luster with how game pass games are way better

They are more or less nice open world shooters. The storys are meh tbh with insert crazy villian type here. watch some videos on it to get the since of what they are

The original was the first true xbox one x enabled title. And it was published by microsoft and pushed as a big second party title.

I am just surprised that both versions of this game and unsure if including the original vr one. With being on gamepass is only 3 million but guess that is just me

With both verisons of the game being on game pass and pc game pass surprised it isn't higher. Especially when you take into account ps4 and switch users as well.

Part of me reads "not pull content off platforms" meaning sure eso online and fallout 76 are gonna continue to get updates on ps4/ps5. I dunno they really do need after the deal is finalized to just state what exactly they are going to do

@hYdeks that's my pickup date.. I am not super angry at microsoft or anyone just disappointed at everything going on..
I am going to have to get someone to watch my house as i was hoping to have it by today as I leave for like 2 weeks. And no way that survives sitting on my step for that length of time and no vehicle in driveway

I am gonna sound like I am beating a dead horse. But this makes alot of sense. You will see the same with sony and all the other big publishers in the next 3-5 years (if google and amazon also start) we will see the industry consolidate alot so same amount of developers just all owned under a bigger company.
As you see take two expanding, tencent never stops, microsoft prepping for what I dub the cloud war (lol console was ppfftt ) amazon and google dropping large cash to purchase anyone they can to make the splash they need for there cloud services to seem attractive. Sony will buy some as well (remember they are still looking and almost bought warframe)
Not including things like thq nordic is massive and always gobbling up people.

The thing nobody is mentioning. Is the industry got so large that it is consolidating. Which is not done. Wait until amazon and google start dropping money as well.

My understanding is that yakuza has sold we on xbox with 0,1,2 that even on gamepass sega was pleased and how enter the dragon ended up as a timed exclusive
