This is smart- get people who can’t afford a new console, people who may become casual gamers, or even people who don’t normally buy Microsoft products.

Who wouldn’t want to be able to jump between games fast and easy?! Between faster loading times and quick resume you’ll be have more time actually playing the games you love.. sounds like a win.

I would love a new entry! I immensely enjoyed playing Outer Worlds.

I’ve been slowly playing Night in the Woods and have not been loving it like I thought I would. The dialogue is great and I’m curious where the game is going but it’s a slow start. Hopefully I stay interested enough to finish it since I’m putting it on the back burners or now. I’ve just started The Avengers and am enjoying it (not very far in yet)!

I’ll be finishing up Sherlock Holmes Crime and Punishment.. It’s definitely grown on me since I’ve gotten used to the mechanics. After that the world is my oyster... maybe start up Halo 3 or play Night in the Woods I think.

This is one of the features I’m most excited about honestly. As a parent I’m always conscious of the games my young kids are seeing so being able to switch games easily will be nice.

Can anyone play the beta or just people who have ordered the game?

I’ve started playing Sherlock Holmes Crime and Punishment. I’m not quite sure how I few about it but I’ve just started the 3rd case.

What I want to know is why I can play Amazon Luna on my iPhone/IPad/Mac but I can’t play Gamepass? In the description it says you play games on a web based app- why can’t Gamepass be delivered this way?

I know what I’ll be doing on November 10th... Stopping at my local Target upon opening😅

From my personal experience when I searched Xbox Series X on Amazon it would bring up Xbox One X... If someone is not paying attention and just checking that the price looks about right...😅 Actually I was unable to get to any new Xbox on Amazon without using a direct link which was pretty irritating when trying to find a preorder.

I was not lucky in getting a preorder.. Kept getting error after error and I finally had one in the cart and clicked pay -for it to be sold out. I suppose I’ll be seeing if I can get one on launch day but I imagine they will be hard to find in the wild before Christmas and some time after 😓

All I can do is try I suppose! I’m worried that not snagging a preorder is going to make it near impossible to pick this up for awhile. I still remember trying to get a Switch when it released!

Just finished chapter 2 of Tell Me Why so I foresee continuing this great story this weekend!

Dang! I hope games in general don’t get more expensive. I could see if Sony is upping the cost then 3rd party games will go up in price, and why would a developer charge less for a game on one console vs the other? Honestly the only games I buy at full price anymore are 1st party Nintendo games, only because they seem to stick at their price points and sales are few and far between for them.

I agree that these trade in values are incredibly low towards the purchase of a new console. I had planned on trading in my Xbox one S towards a series X but their promotion only adds $15 to my trade. Maybe this is just an early promotion? I wouldn’t want to go so long without my Xbox anyways- I’ll be waiting.

That may be the best time for me to acquire The Outer World DLC and jump back in! Those loading times were horrendous and I’ve been holding out. Since I have a One S I’ve been putting off the One X enhanced games I own- Star Wars Fallen Jedi, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Control DLC.
I think I’m most excited to check out Cyberpunk right now as a new release but I may end up waiting on it.

@Dpullam A Plague Tale : Innocence was one of the first games I played when I finally got a Xbox One- it blew me away! I’m glad they brought it to Gamepass so more people can experience it.

I’m on the 12th mission in Halo 2 so I think I’m close to wrapping up the campaign. Seriously enjoying my play time! I think afterwards I’ll start up Tell Me Why.
Also have a murder By Number going on Switch- also a great game!

Now that all the Tell Me Why chapters are released I’ll be jumping into that! Also Hotshot Racing looks cool. Actually been interested in Stranger Things 3 and The Dark Crystal too.. looks like I’ve got my work cut out for me!

I already had a copy so I’m good.. It is weird that this and GTA didn’t last long on Gamepass though...

My strategy for pricing: I’m hoping that Series X will cost me $499. However I also realize that it may be $599. So I’ll put aside and save for the larger sum. Honestly it’s a little frustrating but we know it’s going to be expensive and we all probably have our ideas about what these consoles are going to cost. If by some miracle the console costs less than what I think I’ll take the extra saved and buy Cyberpunk 2077 with it 😁

Meh.. Doesn’t look like I’ll have to interrupt my play through of Halo 2.

I haven’t tried them yet but my top picks to play are: Spiritfarer ( I love when my Nintendo wishlist games come to Gamepass!), Tell Me Why, and Wasteland 3. Eventually I’ll get to play them!

@FraserG I enjoyed the final season immensely. I personally found the story and characters more engaging. I also really liked the addition of collectibles. I liked the surprise at the end but at the same time I have my reservations about the likelihood- especially considering the ending of season 1. I would also say that the final season Is the best, followed closely by the 1st.

Finished up my Walking Dead Telltale Series- pretty awesome story!

Also finished up The Turing Test which had some good puzzles.

Gave Gianna Sisters a try but I wasn’t too into it.

I want to play Tell Me Why but I’m hesitant to start it until I know when the next chapters come out- Nothing worse than getting into a great TV show/ book series and having to wait for the next season/ installment! 😉

I suppose now I can jump back into the Halo Verse with Halo 2 😎

I already bought the Overcooked dlc but it’s great if you like the game!

I can’t say I’m surprised since there was no date listed on any preorder listing. I’m still looking forward to this one though!

I fell into a Walking Dead Telltale hole... I’ve just started the final season so an end is in sight 😅. Once I finish up I’ll give Giana Sisters a try before it leaves Gamepass.

I also have to represent #TeamChicken in this weekend’s Splatfest so I’ll be doing that as well.

Since I haven’t played the series before I’d be inclined to check these out

I will be waiting to see the prices on these. I want a series x but depending on the price I may end up waiting on a new console. I won’t be buying a console without a disc drive.

Luckily the only one I’m interested in is Giana Sisters so I’ll be dipping into that. I’ve never completed Creature in the Well but I doubt I will be jumping back into that ( stuck at a boss fight 😓).

I suppose if a console is costing that much it makes sense to have the strategy they are implementing by focusing on Gamepass and the Xbox ecosystem, it’s a win- win. People will still buy the new console since there is always those people who want the new stuff but those who simple can’t swing that aren’t left in the dust. This is going to be a tough year for a new console anyway because of the pandemic. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. If I think about it all the backwards compatibility and being able to bring your old controllers does take some of the sting out.

Since I’ve finished Yoku’s Island Express I’ve been going through some games I’ve downloaded- cleaning up. I’ve played through the first season of Walking Dead. Now I’ve started up Observation which is interesting and am enjoying. I’m waiting to start Halo 2 to see if anything on my playlist is leaving Gamepass in the next round of games being removed. I hate having to pause games when I get into them!
I did end up picking up Wolfenstein NO, Wolfenstein NC deluxe, and Dishonored DE in the recent Bethesda sale ( which was a better price than the current sale).

@Bmartin001 I’m also new to Halo and have been enjoying it more than I expected- though I’ve only completed Halo CE so far! I’m not mad about the new one getting delayed since I have more time to enjoy the rest.

I was dreaming of xcloud being available on Switch but that’s improbable. Unfortunately I don’t have any android things so I’ll have to wait and hope that Apple comes to their senses 😓. This looks awesome though!

This is an interesting strategy but one that may pay off in the long run. Everyone says consoles are sold at a little/ no profit anyways.

This game is like a year old now.. by the time the new console comes out it will be older. I don’t think it’s right to expect every game to include a free upgrade to next gen. You will either buy this new edition or not. I think the dlc stands at $25 now so if I assume this “ultimate edition” goes for $60 then that’s $35 for an upgraded game if you haven’t already gotten it. I think that’s great for newcomers. Honestly I’m not sure why people like to buy the same games over again. Myself I will eventually buy the dlc and call it good since I think this title is already One X optimized and will no doubt run better on the new console than the One S I currently have.

I loved Control- I haven’t given Alan Wake a try yet but I’m interested in this whenever it comes out.

@Z3u5000 PlayStation had the Control DLC as a timed exclusive earlier this year.

I decided to wait on starting Halo 2 so I could play Yoku’s Island Express before it left Gamepass so I’ll continuing my strange (but good!) pinball adventure! I’m also still playing Origami King on Switch .

@mousieone I think there’s a market for both Apple Arcade and a cloud on Apple products- they both cater to wildly different audiences ( just checking out the offerings). It’s a shame really. Hopefully they allow xcloud to come to iOS- that’s all I have lol. It’s weird though because if you go to an Apple store their officially recommended controller for playing games on their devices is the Xbox one controller.
