Re: Microsoft Signs Binding Contract To 'Bring Xbox Games To Nintendo Gamers'

iplaygamesnstuff

@NEStalgia I sure hope so. My biggest gripe in this is Nintendo's lack of a contemporary console and reluctance to do anything about it. I've actually given up on hoping for a new Nintendo several years ago. The Switch Pro had a chance to do something but really was a let down sporting the same hardware from 2017 with an OLED screen. I know it sells well but I find this upsetting as Nintendo uses this to price gouge their consumers while not producing anything. A Switch probably costs less than 50 to make in 2023 and they are still charging 300+ for them.

@NEStalgia The Switch is garbage as a console in 2023, okay as a handheld. I'm not saying there isn't a place for the Switch, I'm just saying that committing to something that has no commitment to move past 2017 sounds like a big mistake. Everyone talks about how the Xbox One holds back Series X|S games. The Switch just can't keep up with newer titles. 3rd party support is miserable. How much do you think it costs to build a Switch? Nintendo hates their consumers and they just accept it. While I do like Nintendo, they give some people zero incentive to play on their platform. On the other hand maybe this is what's needed to give the Nintendo Switch more games than just their first party lineup.

@mousieone The Switch barely does 720 while docked. I can play Xbox cloud games on my phone in the bathroom if I so chose but, I don't spend enough time in a bathroom to play games. It's not about 4k, heck it can't even do 1080p. Just look at the Sonic game. I mean you have your own opinion but Nintendo released the Switch in March 3rd of 2017 and couldn't outperform the 360 that released November 22nd 2005. Now I get that it is portable, but it's 2023. The Switch still costs the same as it did in 2017. If you don't see the problem, that's fine. Just don't pretend this problem doesn't exist.

Re: Microsoft Will Defend Its Xbox Activision Blizzard Deal In EU Court Hearing Next Week

Well you see your honor, just a couple years ago Sony bragged and marketed on Xbox and Microsoft having zero games and the Sony Playstation was the only place to game. So we sought out to build up our development by purchasing this company and all the sudden Sony is trying to stop us because they think buying this company will give us a monopoly. We are just going to let that sink in for a minute. We yield the rest of our time. Thank you your honor.

Re: Talking Point: Do You Buy Less Third-Party Titles Because Of Xbox Game Pass?

iplaygamesnstuff

I plan on one day dropping Game Pass, the games I tend to play I've already bought because I wanted them. For me Game Pass has not effected how many games I buy even first party. For instance I have Game Pass and still purchased FH5. When Game Pass lapses, I still get to play the game. I'm going to judge the value of Game Pass again when it expires for me in a couple years. I want to see if the price goes up or what else they have planned. To be honest I'm not impressed with quantity and quality of games so far this console generation.

@ParsnipHero Thanks for the response. Hopefully someday they will understand that some players just like the single player experience. No waiting for other players or being dependent on other players, no issues with internet lag which could be from the other player even if you have a good connection, then there's matchmaking nightmares completely avoided.

It's still not "next/current gen". The game is built on a modified Unreal 4 engine and while it will be impressive it's still built on last gen tools. At least we are making the change. I think people will be surprised in what the Series S will be able to do when true games made for this generations consoles are produced and released. You will start to see this I believe with Forza Motorsport possibly Starfield.

Re: Xbox Leak Reveals Ubisoft+ Will Include 60+ Games, Here's The Full List So Far

@Chaudy Fun Riders Republic is a fun game and has it's flaws. Easier to find it on sale than to pay monthly anyways. Some of the content is behind DLC paywalls as well, I really like the BMX content even though it's lacking with real flatland tricks. Which is my overall opinion of this, Ubisoft+ doesn't make sense to begin with let alone be on the console. For the one or two games someone wants to play, it's still cheaper to buy the game than to pay Ubisoft monthly plus you get to keep the game. I wouldn't pay $1 a month more to have Ubisoft+ on Game Pass either.

Re: Microsoft Orders Sony To Attend Activision Blizzard Court Hearing This Summer

@Kaloudz MS may not be the leader in producing games, they leave Sony in the dust when it comes to the overall size and wealth. Windows is practically on every work computer. Their cloud services make them most of their money these days. Sony just takes their dominance which is shrinking in the gaming market, and is trying to play dictator with it. When I saw their marketing and influence during the Xbox One days, all I saw was Sony being a bully. Microsoft has to stop playing nice to these companies that are hostile to them. My guess this request for Sony to attend sounds like a last ditch effort to involve them before telling them they get nothing.

@Kaloudz I'm not that familiar with where everything is. If Sony isn't just trying to troll the acquisition they will grow up and say what they really want to say. They look pathetic acting like this. I hope they do have to go and get put in their place. There should also be rules put in place to keep anti-competitive moves like paying to block content on other platforms. I hope this backfires on Sony.
