Well I would say the same about bunjie, as they are staying multiplatform Microsoft will have to give bunjie their next console specs for a game to be developed before the console comes out, so sony will have insider knowledge about any new xbox consoles going forward.
Also it doesn't even matter if microsoft have access to that information and make their console slightly more powerful, the Series X is the most powerful console around and yet the PS5 is outselling it by some margin. The casuals and most die hard fans don't care about specs and a large chunk of players get both consoles anyway.
Jim is again worrying over nothing and those arguments will get thrown out.
This will be fine for the die hard fans but not the casuals, they will most likely not continue with their subscription once they find out. Only time will tell how this will effect gamepass numbers as Microsoft have already said growth had stopped.
@Cashews Yeah the OLED s reen makes a huge difference in colour quality, plus it's a bigger screen than the standard switch, also has a LAN poet, better flip stand and double the internal storage. Definitely worth the extra £50.
This doesn't make sense to me, so he's saying the Series S is the base console for this gen which is not much of an upgrade over last gen consoles. So comparing the power do the ps5 to the series X is pointless as its a pro version and should only be compared to a ps5 pro (if that ever happens), I always got told the series S was a budget entry option for those to experience next gen games at a lower cost which makes perfect sense, it's not the base console at all and this guy is making excuses to why he thinks there won't be any new "Pro" consoles.
I still believe there will be an series X pro at some point, this gen will go on longer than previous gens due to how long it's actually took to get last gen out the way, I kena were still gettting last gen versions of most games, plus the stock shortages at the beginning and only just starting to be normal levels. Both Microsoft and Sony will want new console iterations within the next 2-3 years.
Microsoft haven't denied it either, they just said it was an internal exchange but still just shows what Matt Booty's plan is.
Apparently the judge dismissed it was evidence due to it being obtained illegally, but it's now blowing up on twitter. If the email is legit then I hope people see Microsoft in a different light and that they are using their superior wealth to bully the competition into submission. But I suppose we need to see what was exactly said in that email first as at the moment it's just "REDACTED", I expect it to be leaked soon.
@Zoidpilot4 I think it's down to Sony being scared of potentially losing one of their biggest source of incomes, Call of Duty brings Sony around £250 million per year which is enough to fund one of their big AAA single player games.
Also, Sony are investing more into live service games as they are becoming more and more popular and it's what all the casuals want to play, Sony want their console to be home to all the biggest live service games. At the moment all the biggest live service games are on both playstation and Xbox consoles so players have a choice, but as soon as one of those games becomes exclusive to one console then that console will become The console to get for those casuals. That's also what Sony are worried about Microsoft doing with call of duty.
Finally, I don't think anyone can be too hard on Jim, he's just doing his job and doing what those above him are expecting him to do. If he didn't put up a fight then he'd probably be facing the sack.
The fact they keep going on about this deal meaning more choice for gamers obviously means no Activision games will become xbox console exclusive, otherwise that's taking away a choice and they lied to the courts/governments.
So Jim has nothing to worry about, no need for him to get involved.
I recently played Bramble the Mountain King on PS5 and I reccomend it highly, such a dark and gruesome game, I would say it belongs in the horror category.
@Cherip-the-Ripper Yeah it is, well technically it's known as Japan's Electronic City, tonnes of video game stores, anime advertising, anime and manga stores and maid cafes.
I'm still early in the game but I like it, I love games that use real life areas and put in the effort to get it as close as the real thing as possible. Hopefully there's a Sequel set in Akihabara 😅
@NEStalgia Yeah that is a shame, Bethesdas main games like Fallout, Elder Scrolls and Starfield are all perfect VR games as they are, I feel like every first person game should have a mandatory VR mode haha
@Zoidpilot4 You know what I'm going to say sorry to you as I think we got off on the wrong foot (as they say), I don't think I've ever said anything before today to you or made you toxic against me in some way, in fact I think today is our first interaction. My first comment to you was literally just a simple question as I see nothing wrong with pushsquare promoting the PSVR2 like you do so I just simply wanted to know why you thought that? Nothing hateful towards you and I wasn't trying to start an argument but I felt your reply to me was a bit strong.
In terms of your other comments on here it does seem you take pot shots at Sony or their fans before even any "troll" comments appear which would class as baiting in the user guidelines of this site so maybe that's why some people seem like they are arguing with you but technically to them you started it and baited them. But I understand you have autism so all these people (me included) should take into consideration before commenting anything hateful towards you and try to understand you better and take a lighter approach to your comments and not get easily triggered. I don't want to upset you or make you feel like you're not welcome here as this is a great site with great users so please continue commenting like you do but maybe with less sony pot shots haha.
Wow no love in the article for the JRPG's shown....
Even though I will be playing it on PS5 I'm going to go with Metaphor Refantazio, game looked incredible and was not expecting that at all so was definitely a surprise. Starfield also looked great but it wasn't really a surprise as we all knew it was going to be shown beforehand.
In terms of Xbox Exclusives though im going with Clockwork Revolution, was not expecting that and it also looks really good and giving me strong Bioshock Infinite vibes. Hopefully it's not too far out.
@NEStalgia I agree with you on this, VR is absolutely amazing when it's done right and games like Half Life Alyx, Astro Playroom, Horizon call of the mountain and Skyrim VR really show what the VR is capable of. But more big devs need to support it for it to really take off, even if it's just them making their normal PS5/XSX games having VR capability as well.
This is a strange article for sure, we don't even know what state the game will be in at launch, I'm sure laods of people rated Redfall highly until it came out and was a disaster. Although I'm quite optimistic with what was shown the other day I still hold some reservations especially with the 1000 planets as they are most likely been done by a randomization tool like No Mans Sky used, so many will feel the same and quests will be basic fetch/kill quests on those planets (if there is planet quests). So I'm saving my judgement until atleast two weeks after it's launched, let me explore most of what the game has to offer before I rate it.
You need to add a 12th option "Too early to judge"
So just Starfield for me this year then, and Hellblade 2 and Avowed for next year if they don't get delayed. Hopefully there's more than that in the works to be released over the next 18 months. Still hopeful of a Gears collection coming next year and possibly State of Decay 3 or a shadow drop like Hi-Fi Rush.
Gameplay or not, it still looked great and if cutscenes are looking like that on release then il be happy. But if that was all pure gameplay footage then I'd expect the visuals to be pushed back by the time it releases, it's ok to make something small look so good but the bigger the game is the more spec demanding it will become.
30fps is fine if the game is done correctly which is why Redfall failed hard since it had other issues to go with it. Zelda and Plague Tale Requiem are 30fps and they are great games as they were also quite well polished. So Starfield will be fine aslong as 30fps is the only negative.
That's fine but I atleast expect the games to be finished and in a great state. I don't want to be waiting 6 years just to recieve a broken game like Redfall or unfinished like the Nintendo sports games etc.
@Cashews Yeah that is strange, especially even more so when Exoprimal is going to be shown some more and it's a gamepass game.
Pushsqaure were the same today though, took them over 12 hours to announce the Final Fantasy 16 demo yet usually they are all over that game in a flash.
I was kinda hoping for a Immortals Fenyx Rising 2 announcement so was a bit disappointed that didn't happen, but they showed some decent gameplay and they have some huge games. If they get these games right then this could be a huge turn around for ubisoft.
Overall for me it was a B, now onto Capgod and hopefully Nintendo at some point.
@Suda52 Yeah I also use Howlongtobeat to see the average competition times, although I usually average just below as I don't always do everything and the longer the game goes on I end up rushing everything just to get it done, and I most likely miss side quests etc by doing that.
I think it still needs some work from what was shown in terms of visuals, but man the gameplay, the enemies and world look fantastic and I can't wait to explore the game. I'm terms of the games size then that's perfectly fine also, a 20 hour game is just about right and if its anything like outer worlds then there's multiple choices that effect the game, so no two play throughs were the same.
@Snake_V5 I still think Sony's deal is that when the next game in that trilogy comes out the previous one comes to xbox. So next year xbox will get FF7 Remake part1 and then when part 3 releases on playstation xbox will get part 2 and then part 3 so many years after it's release on playstation.
@Hunter1 I know but playstation sales still eclipse the xbox sales in Japan, then Nintendo outsells playstation even further than that. That's why these Japanese games won't ever be xbox exclusive unless xbox pay for development themselves.
I think the main reason is the abysmal xbox sales in Japan, that is obviously off putting for Japanese developers who make these games for their own country first and then a western localisation Studio then picks up the game later. So if its not running on xbox already then obviously the localisation team aren't equipped themselves to port it to xbox.
Its great xbox are getting to show these Japanese games but they aren't exclusive and gamers (especially in japan) know that and won't buy an xbox if they can get the games on more popular platforms. If xbox really want to get serious in Japan then they need full exclusives, they need to pay a lot of money though for a dev to take that risk.
With the amount of studios they have it should be doable, although I think it would be more realistic to expect 3 exclusives a year, announcing too much for one year brings delays and then people will just moan, just keep schedules realistic and make sure the games are as polished as they can be.

Should definitely officially change their name to Capgod
I still don't understand why Microsoft have wasted their money putting embargoes on Atlus announcing these games for other consoles for 48 hours. The fact they have put embargoes on it to begin with just shows its coming to other consoles. I just don't get it.
@pip_muzz oh for sure it's still going to be very good, but it being 30fps and full of bugs will ending up lowering it's review scores and causing a lot of negative chatter on social media which will end up dampening it's chances of being game of the year, we already saw what those two combinations did to Redfall.
@Green-Bandit I own all 3 (switch) and this year has been fantastic so far with Hogwarts Legacy, Dead island 2, Forspoken, Fire Emblem Engage, Diablo 4, Hi-Fi Rush, Zelda TOTK, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Dead Space Remake and the rest of the year is going to get even better with Starfield, Spiderman 2, Pikmin 4, Granblue Fantasy Relink, Master Detective Archives, Final Fantasy 16, Assassins Creed Mirage, Alan Wake 2 etc
Easily one of the best years for gaming, if not the best.
@Zochmenos Yeah I'm surprised they didn't get a lot of older Japanese games onto gamepass again like they did last year, games like YS and Trails of cold steel.
@Rmg0731 Microsoft wouldn't need embargoes on games if they were exclusive. So yeah any game with an embargo on right now is coming to playstation or switch. Also any game that wasn't coming to gamepass is highly likely to be coming to playstation also like the Star wars game and the new Atlus game.

@themightyant But with Redfall people were moaning about the 30fps even before the reviews for the game came out.
Re: Starfield Will Run At 4K / 30FPS On Xbox Series X, 1440p / 30FPS On Series S
Strange, when it was announced Redfall was only 30fps everyone had their pitchforks out, but this time people are more forgiving.
Re: Xbox Announces Plans For Exclusives To Arrive 'More Reliably' In The Future
With the amount of studios they have it should be doable, although I think it would be more realistic to expect 3 exclusives a year, announcing too much for one year brings delays and then people will just moan, just keep schedules realistic and make sure the games are as polished as they can be.
A games state is more important than rushing it out to meet demands, Redfall is a prime example of that.

Re: Bethesda's Huge Starfield Direct Gameplay Blowout Was Everything We Wanted
@pip_muzz oh for sure it's still going to be very good, but it being 30fps and full of bugs will ending up lowering it's review scores and causing a lot of negative chatter on social media which will end up dampening it's chances of being game of the year, we already saw what those two combinations did to Redfall.
Re: Poll: How Would You Grade The Xbox Games Showcase 2023?

@Snake_V5 I'm mainly a playstation gamer but even I admit that was better than sonys showcase.
Re: Bethesda's Huge Starfield Direct Gameplay Blowout Was Everything We Wanted
If this game is free of bugs and is 60fps then we're looking at game of the year.
Re: Poll: How Would You Grade The Xbox Games Showcase 2023?
@Zochmenos Yeah I'm surprised they didn't get a lot of older Japanese games onto gamepass again like they did last year, games like YS and Trails of cold steel.
Re: Poll: How Would You Grade The Xbox Games Showcase 2023?
@Rmg0731 Microsoft wouldn't need embargoes on games if they were exclusive. So yeah any game with an embargo on right now is coming to playstation or switch. Also any game that wasn't coming to gamepass is highly likely to be coming to playstation also like the Star wars game and the new Atlus game.
