Re: 343 Details Season 2 Updates For Halo Infinite

ThePrettySenshi

@lolwhatno and @Xiovanni

Gender is the social construct, and Sex is biological. But aside from that, I'm kind of with Xiovanni. I wish there were more secondary physical characteristics besides just waist size when we choose body type. I love the gameplay from Halo infinite, but I never felt like my spartan was an in-game personalized version of myself. But Halo 5, despite having a bunch of haters, felt way more personal with the customization.

Also, there's this really annoying glitch where sometimes we spawn with default body and voice. And then the rest of the match I'm stuck hearing weird manly death grunts (I die a lot). lol

I miss Halo 5 bodies.

Re: Good News, The Xbox Series X Will Reportedly Be Region Free

ThePrettySenshi

@Lionyone
I've bought the game Stranger of Sword City, Asian region because it had english subtitles, was cheaper and the U.S. never got a physical release.
But tbh, if you live in the U.S. it's actually the other way around 99.99999...% of the time. We get the physical releases and the best prices because Xbox is an American company and everyone else usually imports from us. Regional sales is probably one of the reasons why Sony moved their headquarters to the U.S.

Re: Random: The Internet Thinks Microsoft Is Buying Sega Now

ThePrettySenshi

@graysoncharles
that picture...

but back to the article, yeah, tbh most of the evidence is kind of circumstantial, except for the Sega tweet with the lady doing an X by a box. That pose seems a little too thought out. I doubt it means a buy out but maybe a partnership deal?

Although, if they did buy Sega that would finally be the moment where I can lay back and just enjoy the Xbox because imo the only thing it lacks right now is a stronger Japanese support.

Re: Ubisoft Aims To Show Beyond Good & Evil 2 In Action Next Year

ThePrettySenshi

@XBontendo That's ok, you don't have to like it. ( ^_^)

Personally, I looove the first one. It had so much charm and all of the characters really grew on you, and there was just this real wholesomeness to the way the world was presented and the way that everyone treated each other.

So having the f-bomb dropped in the first 30 seconds really really bothers me. I'm sorry, but this isn't the game I want, and it's not the Beyond Good and Evil that I remember.

Re: Sony Responds To Xbox With Official PS5 Price Reveal

ThePrettySenshi

I'm definitely picking up an Xbox Series X eventually, but probably nothing until either Halo infinite comes out or Final Fantasy.

Tbh, I was bummed out that Sony didn't drop their digital only console to 300 dollars because I would love to play Demon's Souls. But that's ok. Plenty of other games to look forward to and I'm definitely sticking with Xbox. ( ^_^)

Re: Final Fantasy XVI Snapped Up As 'PlayStation Console Exclusive'

ThePrettySenshi

@playstation_king There's quite a lot of games that Square Enix have made as "exclusives" and as soon as the time ends it came to Xbox so I bet the same thing will happen here.

But anyhoo, I'm not going to lie, I was a little bummed out when I read the headline. But after the trailer I'm ok with waiting while I work on my other games that I own. After 15 I was hoping we would go back to a woman as the main character. And as much as I love Kingdom Hearts, I wish we still had traditional jrpg experiences instead of action jrpg. I'll still pick this up as soon as it comes to Xbox, but I'm willing to bet that FF7 Remake will appear around 16's launch so that will keep me more than happy until then. I'm playing the original right now and loving it.

Re: Microsoft Employee Criticises 'Frustrating' Xbox Series S Leak

ThePrettySenshi

They've probably been holding off so long because of the price point. Tbh, this is probably a result of the pricing contest between them and Sony to see who can go lower. Oh well. Too late now. I guess that means that Sony has the advantage and can adjust their marketing appropriately.
c'est la vie, as the elves in Middle-Earth tend to say.

Re: Deals: Over 300 Games, Bundles & Add-Ons In This Week's Xbox Sale (Sep 8-15)

ThePrettySenshi

They never have any dlc for the games I play. ( T_T) I've been waiting forever for Final Fantasy XIII-2's bundle to go on sale.

btw, I finished the Metal Gear Solid series (which I loved!!). Splinter Cell is on sale, would it be worth getting? I've avoided it before because it seems to be only realistic grittiness and only a bunch of guys running around. But I'm having stealth withdrawals and am thinking of trying it out.

Re: Multiple Developers Said To Be 'Very Impressed' With The Xbox Series S

ThePrettySenshi

wow. That's a surprisingly low price. It's literally the same price of a Nintendo Switch right now and with the library of games it can play, a pretty tempting offer.
I would get it, I like how it looks, but I've started to collect too many classic games and not being able to play them because of a lack of a disc drive is disappointing.

But if I was looking at a first console to get into games, this would be it.

Re: Deadly Premonition Returns To The Xbox Store After Being Delisted

ThePrettySenshi

nice! Part of me is hoping that the reason Deadly Premonition came back is that they are planning on announcing Deadly Premonition 2 for Xbox. But that's just wishful thinking on my part...

DP is definitely a weird game. It's like a PS2 game that somehow got released 10 years too late. But it has a lot of charm and for anyone who is a huge fan of the old tv show Twin Peaks it's a must play.

Re: Pick One: Which Is Your Favourite Prince Of Persia Xbox Game?

ThePrettySenshi

I remember my sister and I borrowing the first one and Beyond Good and Evil back when we had a Gamecube. She really liked it, but I didn't really play much because Beyond Good and Evil was sooo good.

but later on I fell in love with the 2008 version. The whole story, the growing relationship with Elika and the Prince, the ending, it was so well done. Just a quick bit of advice for anyone who hasn't played it, don't buy the dlc. It adds about an hour and a half of gameplay that isn't that much fun, and completely ruins the tone of the original ending.

Re: Xbox Series X Has A Big Backwards Compatible Advantage Over PS5, Suggests Ubisoft

ThePrettySenshi

@playstation_king
It's not about money. It's about respecting the purchases of gamers who have followed a company for generations, and most importantly it's about preserving the past.

Videogames have a history just as rich as any other media and for the longest time they not only failed to protect it but actively even worked against it (destroying source codes, losing files etc). Backwards compatibility is one of the greatest ways of remembering where games come from and allowing future gamers the opportunity to enjoy those games. We learn the origins of our favorite developers and experience how the industry has evolved over the decades.

Re: Poll: How Important Are Achievements To You In Xbox Games?

ThePrettySenshi

I like them but it depends on the game. I'll try to play a game naturally the first time through. Sometimes I'll go out of my way for an achievement if it looks like it would be fun but I don't let them become more important than enjoying the story.

After beating the game though, if I loved the game enough to play it again at a later date then I'll pick a few more achievements to go for just to change up the playthrough a little bit. Sometimes if I like the game enough I try to 100% it.

but grindy achievements like buy all x, or do this thing 1000 x are just terrible if the only reward is the achievement. bleagh.

Re: Microsoft Is Giving Away Free Gift Cards To Some Xbox Players

ThePrettySenshi

I haven't checked yet, but you know, if you download the Bing app and sign in with your Xbox account you can earn points by just regularly searching the internet or doing little quizzes. And then you can trade those points for things like a free month of Gold or giftcards.

So far I've received:
1 month gold
1 month gamepass
5 gift cards at 5$
1 gift card at 10$

( ^_^)/

Re: Unlike Xbox, PS4 Controllers Won't Work With PS5 Games

ThePrettySenshi

@FraserG
I mean, sure, but wouldn't a headline like "Xbox One controllers will work with Series X" come across as less partisan? The current headline does kind of come across as a little bit of a dig at Sony.
It's nowhere near as bad as some of the passive aggressive stuff over on Push Square so it's not that big of a deal, but it's a slippery slope.

Re: Talking Point: What Games Do You Want Added To Xbox Backwards Compatibility?

ThePrettySenshi

Silent Hill 2 on the original Xbox
Silent Hill 4 on the original Xbox
Fatal Frame (not sure which ones came to Xbox, but I want all of them!)
Any Japanese games that haven't been included because they were too small, like Bullet Witch, 99 knights etc.

and please please please, Nier Gestalt from the 360. With Nier Replicant coming out, and Automata available right now, I think this would be an amazing trilogy (of sorts).

Re: 343 Provides Official Statement On Halo Infinite Graphics Concerns

ThePrettySenshi

huh...
maybe I'm not as much of a hardcore gamer as I thought I was, but I thought the game looked great and fun to play. I'm sure someone can explain why I'm wrong, but I'm excited for it and will definitely pick it up when it comes out.

p.s. I guess I wouldn't mind more hair on brutes.
p.p.s. And I hope we don't have to interact with the pilot too often (or he really takes a chill pill) because he was really annoying.

Re: Phil Spencer: We Want Xbox To Be A Great Platform For Japanese Games

ThePrettySenshi

There is one huuuuuuuge thing that Xbox can do that would help them get a lot of goodwill with Japanese developers.

And that is to let them know, that under no circumstances will they censor any game that comes out of Japan. Right now there is a huge discussion going on culturally in Japan about freedom of expression. Even the Japanese Diet has gotten involved. The manga and anime industry are worried about the United States and China imposing their cultural standards on Japanese works. It has also affected the video game industry with many developers also expressing dissatisfaction and concern.

Please Xbox, no censorship.
