I was hoping that the Silent Hill HD Collection had gotten patched/improved on Xbox One but apparently it hasn't, which is too bad. Would've liked to experience these games.
Look at Activi$ion trying to charge ridiculous prices for ancient COD games. 🙄
@KelticDevil Seriously, you can't even play these games online anymore either because there's so many hacked lobbies.
If you haven't played MGS 2 & 3 yet do yourself a favor pick them up..
I'm gonna buy the Castlevania games for sure!
Shame the 360 isn't really getting many sales and deals centric to that system anymore. Last year it was part of Summer Sale and had plenty of games that weren't part of BC
I went on a Castlevania shopping spree!!
( ^_^)/
I'm going to be spending August and September playing Final Fantasy IX and VII, and save all the Castlevania games for October. Although I've heard the Castlevania games are pretty hard, so maybe that's a bit too optimistic?
Psychonauts needs to go on sale. Or on Games with Gold. Lol
@LtSarge Same here. I want to play them but why don't Konami fix them?
Is The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition the full game or DLC? Should we buy this game or stick to The Witcher 3?
@BlueOcean Well I think it's because the audience for Silent Hill is much smaller on Xbox than on PlayStation, because the PS3 version received patches but the 360 version never did. So you'd be better off playing the PS3 version if you don't have many options to play these games (which I don't).
With regards to your second post, the enhanced edition of Witcher 2 is the complete game with extra content. It's the only version of the game since it's a port of the PC version, so there's no "vanilla" version of it. It's also worth mentioning that Witcher 2 isn't on PlayStation systems, so this is the only way to play Witcher 2 on consoles. I own the game and although I haven't played it yet, it's definitely worth owning it for the above reasons.
@BlueOcean I bought it some time ago, apparently it has all DLCs included!
@KelticDevil I know what you saying but the CoD Black Ops 1+2 collection (repackaged on XBox One case) is always on the top 20 best selling Xbox games on amazon. Very often top 10 and, crazy, I seen it hop to #1 and #2 spots regularly. And that is about $30.
Still agree those are not summer sale prices, but they seem to have no trouble moving those older CoD games.
@StrangeBit @LtSarge Thank you.
@BlueOcean its the full game and it's incredible! I highly recommend it, especially for only $2.99
Xbox is leaning so hard into backwards compatibility i don't understand why they put so few 360 games on sale to embrace it. Why not the Gears of War games? Or Crackdown? or Fable? Or any of the other games they published themselves?
@LX_FENIX Thanks, I'll get it then.
They should do that massive backwards compatibility sale when Series X launches.
@LX_FENIX I do believe they gave out all the xb360 GoW for free. 1, 2, 3, judgement. Same with crackdown. Both were free with GwG.
I did a pass through the sale and filled my cart up... I’m potentially looking at $200... kinda think I should trim that down a bit...
@PhhhCough im sure they have at some point, youd just think they want to highlight their backwards compatibility as much as possible with the games they published
I've been meaning to try Dead Space and Dragon Age, but I have EA Access so I don't think I'll be buying those. My love for arcade like games wants me to purchase NBA Jam and Geometry Wars. Anyone ever played those two, are they worth a buy?
@LX_FENIX this gen(xbo) the games they published themselves, are few and far between. Itll be hard to show the BC, when you dont really have the software. If you wanna show everything from the og xb to the xbo, then I agree show more games. Fable from og xb, enhanced, to the rumored new fable.
From what i can remember, there are only three Microsoft exclusives that have been there, for each generation. Halo, gears of war and forza. I cant really recall any others. They need more in the stable, that's for sure. I think itll be hard to sell a $500+ machine for BC. Especially if it doesn't cover a lot of the games.
