Xbox Insiders have noticed a new feature added to one of the latest Alpha Skip-Ahead updates on Xbox One - button mapping for the 'Share' button on the Xbox Series X controller (thanks Windows Central).
Of course, it doesn't do anything at the moment - clicking the button apparently takes you to the standard Xbox Accessories app, but it's clearly being readied ahead of the launch of the Series X this Holiday:
If you weren't aware, the 'Share' button is being added to the Xbox Series X controller to provide a more intuitive method of capturing screenshots and video, and you can see it in the image at the top of the page.
It's already been reported that the Xbox Series X will feature a very similar dashboard to the Xbox One with some additional console-specific features added, so it looks like testing for those are now very much underway.
Have you noticed any other references to the Share button on your Xbox One? Let us know below.

I will probably never use the share button, but this is good for those people that want it.
I don't mind but I wish we had an option to remove the visual pop-up saying we took a picture and instead just relied on the audio cue. It's kind of weird, but there's been a few times where I've been taking a lot of pictures and I've had screenshots ruined because they had the pop-up also captured.
I never really share content, but use the functionality to save funny clips and screenshots on a regular basis, for my own amusement.
I look forward to being able to do that with more ease... so, Microsoft, can you start selling this controller, like, today?
