343 Industries has revealed a large set of new features that it plans to add to Halo: The Master Chief Collection across Xbox and PC later this year, including crossplay between the two platforms.
In a development update on the official Halo website, it was revealed that the team is working to add the following features in 2020, with some of them expected to be released together:
- Crossplay
- Input Based MM
- Sever Region Selection
- Custom Game Browser
- Per Game Graphics Options
- Per Game Audio Options
- M&K Support for Xbox
- PC Fileshare
- Double Keybinds for all games
- Viewmodel adjustments for all games
- In game FPS Cap/Adjustments
- Steam Account Linking
Furthermore, 343 says it's still committed to bringing ODST Campaign & Halo 4 on PC, as well as ODST Firefight (with updated networking) to both Xbox and PC in 2020.
It also has some other features in its backlog pending further discussions, including bringing PC Features to console (like FOV sliders), additional accessibility support, and split-screen and HDR capabilities on PC.

Finally! All my friends have this on steam, and while I don’t mind playing with them using gamepass on pc, it sure will be nice to be able to play on my couch from my Xbox.
Best thing to happen to Halo since the launch of Halo 3, as far as I'm concerned.
This is cool.
However, I REALLY need them to sort out the frame rate for Halo 1/2 Anniversary campaigns. Performance is shocking with the remastered graphics even on the One X - anyone else noticed this?

I didn’t have an issues when I played the collection on my Xbox One S.
I don't know what most of these things mean, but crossplay is going to be fantastic!! The more the merrier!
