Re: Microsoft Teams With Samsung In New Project xCloud Partnership

Porridge2215

Well why not. Two big companies like these it's going to be good for each other.
But.... i've heard on other tech mobile sites that Google is looking to to buy Samsung out of using their own store and instead rely 100% on Google play store. Same for Bixby and Google assistant)
Shame I couldn't find the link but if that's true, and it DID sound it, this is not really going to get off the ground, certainly after this generation ie S20.
All saying that the MAIN reason I have an 20+, is because it is a 5g with a fairly big, high-resolution screen to play cloud!

Re: Project xCloud Launches With Xbox Game Pass Ultimate On September 15

I'm pretty excited about not only the game pass library (or most of them?)
But for GAME DEMOS on this setup.
So up comes a demo, eg NFS 2022 (lol), a game I wouldn't normally go for. I stream it at work or in holiday. I like it and buy it, maybe drunkenly.....
It downloads to the XsX, takes a few hours (?)
I continue to play it on stream while I'm waiting for the DL to finish.
When I get home I switch on the XsX, and am able to pick up the game from EXACTLY where u left off.
So NOT "load up and restore a save game and lose some progress from where the last save game was saved" (eg typewriter in Res games, or start of the level in other games)
But an actual SAVE GAME STATE, like if you shut down the console and come back to the same game a few days later and it picks up from the exact 'frame' that you left off.
Sorry if I emphasised to much, trying to show how great this will be.

Re: Armature Studio Says New ReCore 'Would Be Great To See'

Porridge2215

One of the most frustrating games I've played. I really did not have a hope in hell is finishing the caverns in any of the times and goals they asked for. I'm just not a good enough player...
I eventually finished the main story, but the end game for the last fortress (?) was extremely repetitive and slightly easy!!
A few bugs too eg the last of 5 keys needed to open another section hidden underground where it couldn't be got at all.
but the story was good if they have it a REAL good rethink and redesign.
Yes, I'd try it

Re: Phil Spencer: We'll Talk More About Backwards Compatibility In August

Porridge2215

Yes, BC going to be a big thing, Just Cause 3 was mentioned before, but for me I'm all in for Just Cause 4.
Funnily enough, I've just started the playing Alan wake on the X and it's an improvement in sure over the 360, but doesn't really help the fact that it is dated. Same for original fable...
I sort of only want to play modern games,

through alan wake for the first time,

Re: Video: Here Are 15 Indie Games Coming To Xbox Series X

Porridge2215

We were told that everything to be saw yesterday was going to be part of game pass so yes pretty excited.
I mean who wouldn't want play game as a tiny fox! I'm in
Lake sounds pretty good, a different pace of game
12 minutes is gonna be interesting!
Maybe not the brawler, or the shredder for me personally
But it is a great lineup, well done indies! And wrll done Xbox for the eco system (?) that allows these to become reality

Re: Video: Watch The Full 4K Replay Of July's Xbox Games Showcase

Porridge2215

Yes 4k nice but at exactly 7:01 then :05 then :07 going up that elevator there is a wild popip in the hills, centre right of the screen. Not just once but those 3 times (third isn't terrible but others are)
Def is a difference to the texture quality especially on the ground and I think I could see better Ray tracing on explosions going up the ramp about the 6 minute Mark
I've said on this forum before it's going to be hard to appreciate streaming but it's going to be very very hard to appreciate the response of the controller with the reductions in latency etc
Thanks for the link!

Re: Poll: What Are Your Plans For Tomorrow's Xbox Games Showcase?

Porridge2215

Def watching live, probably YouTube on 65-in telly... Looking forward to seeing all the new games. I was probably the only person in the world that's quite the last one that got criticised so much!
Funnily enough at 1080 resolution it will be hard to appreciate just how good the graphics are.
Come to that, we'll not be able to tell from videos the lack of input lag and latency that MS have been keen to emphasis, an(other?) area that they seem to be 'up' on Sony
