I’ll wait for the series X update to jump in. Playing Control now, then Fallout 4. Letting the updates dictate what I play next!

I’m loving forza horizon 4. I have 3 to dig in as well, but I’m waiting to wrap up Wreckfest first. A New Horizon 5 built ready to take advantage of the series X sounds suuuuper appealing. And the rumored Japan setting would be lovely as well. I think this would become my most anticipated 2021 release if so.

@Scenes I thought about buying these because my blu tooth headphones have noticeable audio lag, and so does my sound bar. Seems weird with all this fancy tech we can’t easily get audio synced up. Makes rhythm games really hard and annoying!

Digital foundry has found a few of these weird, xbox specific bugs, like with the 120fps mode in Dirt 5. What’s cool is that they now have good working relationships with a lot of developers, and in the Dirt 5 case, Codemasters fixed the bug quickly after hearing from Digital Foundry. Hopefully this happens in this NFS and other, future cases as well.

@Bowser89 agreed Microsoft and nintendo really do offer different experiences. It’s kind of fun choosing between switch version or Xbox version of games. Do I want it in 4k at a higher framerate? Or do I want to play it in bed? I don’t think Nintendo will ever allow themselves to be bought; and I like it that way.

I have the PS4 disc. I’ll probably buy the Digital deluxe version on series X. Wanna try 120fps! Also will buy this on Switch. I’m happy to triple dip, because I want to encourage more companies to pay the $$$ to re-release older games with licensed soundtracks. I’m looking at you Jet Set Radio Future!

@Trainer same! I definitely think Xbox is getting what they want here... decrease the quality so people say... “might as well get gamepass”. They want GPU subscribers, that’s what this whole console generation will be about.

I’m so looking forward to this. I’m a big AEW fan, and it’s neat that Kenny is so involved and has a lot of passion for the game. I was turned off by the art style at first, but I recently bought WWE all Stars for the 360. It’s has a simulate look and looks great in motion. So there is hope yet!

Haven’t ever gotten into Fortnite, but I do appreciate all these tie-ins familiarizing the younger generations with fun characters. Reminds me of Guitar Hero allowing my generation to explore more Classic Rock music.

I played the Xbox version of the 1st but never Black. Think I’m gonna pick it up on the series x to try it in 4k! And then I’ll try the sequels in the collection.

@Luigi_Skywalker thanks. I’m going to give this headset a go! I play with headphones often so I think it will be well worth it to have a low latency option.

Wreckfest is a blast! It’s impressive how destructible the cars are and to see more and more car parts on the ground on each lap of the race. Would love if this got a 60fps upgrade, but I’ve gotten used to 30 after binge-playing it for a few hours yesterday.

Sonic and all stars Racing transformed! Sonic generations looks great in 4k, but yeah, 30fps gives me a headache with a giant screen and an image moving that fast at a low framerate.

Recently rewatched the old one and it was great. In a B-movie way. Hoping this one is as fun! Also plan to listen to the original movie soundtrack on my old iPod today to get pumped up for this

Whether it comes in this form or individual updates by the developer, I don’t care as long as the performance is enhanced! I do hope this encourages developers to start future proofing games so the fps caps can be more easily removed. That would be nice if we didn’t have to go through such a messy transition period at the next console generation. But I am so thankful that we are getting upgrades in any form.

@Luigi_Skywalker another question... my TV doesn’t support Dolby atmos, but obviously The Xbox does. So will I get the Dolby atmos sound without a tv that supports it? It’s seems like I should as long as it’s connecting to the Xbox itself rather that the TV’s Blutooth...

I also can’t decide which version to get. Maybe I’ll play through black on the series X so I can compare it to the sigma version in the collection.

I still have my original disc. I remember playing it and thinking, this feels like Halo with a Zombie skin, come to find out the same developers worked on it. Really looking forward to playing it again!

My current Bluetooth headphones have a noticeable audio Lag; do these prevent that? Or any other sub 100$ headphone recommendations would be appreciated!

Bought dirt 5 at launch and had a blast. Verrrry excited about wreckfest which is totally up my alley.

I’m hoping for more series s/x upgrades for last gen and some of those double framerate/resolution upgrades for x360 titles!

@vyseofhr yup, it’s great when it works, but is completely unpredictable currently. I bet in a year it will work flawlessly, though. The price you pay to be an early adopter I guess

Original Xbox and Dead or alive 3! graphics still hold up today and it was a great 4 player game for sleep overs!

Attempting to build anticipation by telling the internet “new exciting thing is coming!” Nearly always backfires.

There was one person on here who was begging for the FOV slider to work with 120 hz mode, so I I’m sure they are happy.

I will say, MCC has been my personal favorite game to play at 120 fps. And I’ve only tried it with the original Halo.

So far I have only tried Halo: MCC, Rocket league, and dirt 5 at 120 fps.

Of those, I that Halo was the most noticeable. It felt amazing to play at that frame rate. Rocket league was also quite nice. Dirt 5 had to drop the resolution and image quality too much for me. Curios what other people’s favorites have been!

3/10. Love the games but looks like I need to play through them again!!

I don’t know who this guy is, but he seems really excited and I like that. P.S. - I would totally buy one of theses wild looking Xboxes.

Trying to move my series S version games over to the series X through the expansion drive. However it looks like they didn’t update to the series x versions automatically. So I. Have to redownload everything?

Well the all access program locks in the price at slightly less than the current monthly price for the next 2 years. I imagine that they plan plan to increase the pricing after that point, otherwise they would have a large amount of users paying less than the asking price. I think gold will just disappear by the end of the year, and no more “free/permanent” games with gold giveaways. They want us forever renting rather than owning the products.

@Bobobiwan I want this too! I tried it on the series s. 1080p was nice... but on a huge screen the frame rate gave me a headache at 30 FPS. I had a similar experience with Mario sunshine on the switch. I’m spoiled with 60 frames; now it’s really hard to play games at thirty. Particularly when they move really fast.

This is cool! though I will say with a tv that auto detects the Xbox and switches to game mode, it’s a hassle to watch video content and get all the settings how I like. It’s very nit-picky, but will likely prevent me using the Xbox for streaming videos very often.
