Man seeing one opened up is exciting! I still can’t decide whether to keep my S pre-order or cancel it and wait a few months for the X to come back into stock. I have a nice mid grade 4K 120z Samsung TV, though it’s not hdmi 2.1. Maybe I’ll just keep the S and upgrade later 🤔

I had the original, which I tried to install a mod chip in but never got it to work. So it was unscrewed in a closet for a long time and my mom got rid of it. I camped out for the 360 on launch day; and then that one and A replacement both had the Red Ring. Eventually upgraded to the slim to try out Kinect I skipped the XBONE generation and now I’m excited to play my library of games on the S/X! Feels exciting to be an Xbox fan again!

Looking forward to more of the series S/X comparisons! This doesn’t seem like a graphical intensive game, but those resolutions and frame rates are quite impressive. I typically love flying games so I’m excited to try this one out!

I’m excited about the website features. They always have those sales where you can get used games for half off but it’s a pain to search for titles individually on their website. I want a way to search the stock of each store, which sounds like something they may have now.

But who even has a device that can show an 8k image? This is kinda cool, but I’d rather have a higher frame rate than an 8k picture.

Gaming is already a hobby for the wealthy, but the fact that it is so much further inaccessible in some countries is really sad! The government’s tax situation is Wild there. They own the only beer Brewery, Efes, so they essentially have a monopoly. And of course they charge a ton for it, and alcohol of any kind is super expensive due to taxes.

I like this idea a lot, but personally I’d want it the other way around... delete the multiplayer because I don’t play too many online multiplayer games. However, I doubt they would give this option because They want people online to bring up their numbers and purchase micro transactions.

I switch between games a TON, so this will save me so much time and maximize the time I set aside for gaming sessions. Huge feature and actually gives consoles something that PCs don't do, along with backwards compatibility with some xbox/360 exclusive games.

@Olliemar28 I think it show Microsoft is confident in its product. And I like that they will get to post new content leading up to the release so that it builds up anticipation. I’m guessing each Monday they will be allowed to discuss a different aspect of the console. Should be fun!

@Senua Agreed; it looks gnarly. But I’m really looking forward to this game! And the point to point races are my favorite going back to rallisport challenge on the OG Xbox.

Leave it to Nintendo, I Think. Though I love the idea of Rare replay and gathering some of their IP together is a collection could be neat. Or maybe some guest appearances or costumes could be fun. I like the idea of celebrating their characters, just no need for a smash style game.

My favorite star wars games were rogue squadron 2 and the Hoth level in Shadows of the empire. I tried Battlefront 2 flying but it just didn’t feel as satisfying; though maybe it was the multiplayer modes. I love the idea of this as a single player and will check it out. I may double dip if Sony puts out a PSVR sometime soonish.

@MaccaMUFC I’m thinking the same thing. I’m happy to wait for the next-gen update. Plenty to play in the meantime.
I hope the game dev industry can find new methods that would not require them to crunch at the end. Perhaps wait to announce titles until they are a few months from release rather than years ahead? COVID has required Nintendo to use this strategy this year and it seems to be working fine for them.

@Deadcow also my first Xbox since the 360. I’m excited to check out the backwards compatible titles. I have a ton of digital purchases from that era that will work on the Series S. Hoping some of them get frame-rate/ resolution enhancements!

Don’t have PSVR but I’d love to try this out in VR! I have a Quest, though I don’t know if Oculus and EA will work out a deal. Think Microsoft will jump into the VR market at some point?

Day one I will have the series S, as long as it comes from Microsoft on time. Hopefully I will upgrade to series X some time in the future, though I was happy to get a console in the pre-order chaos. I'm planning to play some of those OG xbox titles like ninja Gaiden Black and Panzer Dragoon to see how nice they look on my new TV. Then I'll load up Forza Horizion 3/4, and my next gen game will be Dirt 5. Once cyberpunk and Doom Eternal get a next gen update I'll jump into those!

I played a bit of Yakuza 0 and loved the dialogue and sense of humor. Really want to check this one out! I’m assuming I can just jump back into the series with this one...

Not super Interested in this, but Japan is cool! Maybe I’ll try it out with the new console launch... assuming it comes to consoles. Guess it could be another Xbox Exclusive?

I feel stubborn and may just buy the official 1TB expansion. I just want to save time loading games and not have something hanging off the back of the console. Transferring back and forth is better than redownloading, but I think I want the experience of having a decent amount of storage space and not have to plan out which games I want ready to go.

I do remember getting som Killer Instinct Gold Pogs back in the late 90s from Taco Bell. I didn’t win them, they just came with the kids meal. Sure felt like a winner, though!

@KelticDevil I’ve messed around with 4 on PC and really liked it, though I’m very excited to revisit it, the Lego DLC, 3, and the Hot Wheels DLC when I get a series S/X. I’m curious if there’s any way to obtain the Fast and Furious DLC for 2 at this point? And was it any good? I may pick up 2 on disc at some point once I work my way through the newer games.

So excited for the Digital Foundry breakdown videos! So much I want to know... How do 360/OG xbox games run, does it have freesync compatibility, how well to the backwards compatible xbox one games run. Not sure what they can cover regarding new games/ updated for Series X games since none of those are out yet...

I bought it! Though I don't have a XBONE, I'm looking forward to checking it out on Series S/X!

Very excited for this! Though I may go for the switch version. I like my shmups in portable mode.

@Chimera_Police @KelticDevil I agree that Microsoft and Sega have done some great work together in the past. Xbox was kinda like the Dreamcast 2, with a bunch of Sega exclusives for it. I’d love to see new entries in all these franchises!

I think the names are confusing, but after a year people will get used to it. Probably will get a mid generation refresh and then it will be the S2 and X2. At that point it won’t be confusing and work like cell phone names.

Does Red Dead Redemption include Red Dead Nightmare?

I got the S pre-ordered; but I think I was the X instead. Think there will be more stock available online on launch day? I assume any stores that have them in stock will have people lined up over night to get them.

I ended up getting the S from
Microsoft 1.5 hours after the orders opened up. I still would prefer the X but I’m happy I got anything, considering Id been trying so long. Question: My TV is a 65” 4K Samsung. It’s not hdmi 2.1, so it only supports 120hz at 1440p, and 60 at 4K. That being said would I be able to notice a difference between 4K and 1440p sitting 9 ft away from my screen? Maybe the S will suit my setup fine after all.

I still don’t know which site to prioritize in the US! Looks like the Microsoft store may delay the shipment which would suck.

Man 15 million is impressive! I’m a lapsed Xbox fan, skipped out on the Xbox One Generation, but I’ll be a game pass subscriber as soon as I can get my hands on the Series X!

The shorter the game, the more likely I am to actually beat it. So I’m cool with this!

Hopefully they add beautiful katamari to backwards compatibility for the Series Systems!

@KelticDevil I recently bought a 4K Samsung TV and it has Bluetooth that’s pretty easy to use. It’s made it a lot easier to headphones while playing older consoles like the 360! So your TV may have this option, or it might be worth looking into whenever you upgrade

I really want them to do daily tweets announcing a new or newly improved backwards compatibles game for the series systems leading up to launch. It would be kind of like the smash bros marketing; it was a lot of fun to get a new bit of info each day and built up anticipation!

Looking forward to Falconeer, Dirt, Tetris, and Yakuza. However, with how the PS5 pre-orders went I’m not hopeful I’ll be able to get the Series X on launch day tho

I sure hope that’s true. At least 4K 60 seems doable on the Series X and PS5 for a last Gen game.
