Forza Horizon 4's map flowed better. It's one thing to have a more interesting location on paper but in practice, FH5's map gains nothing by being bigger.

@Blessed_Koz The hardware isn't changing, correct, but the software is changing to free up more memory. In turn, that makes the console more capable. If you added a stick of ram it'd be more powerful no? Essentially this is the same thing, more ram for games.

@JayJ Appreciate the kind words! A few years ago I was clamouring for more open world racers (huge TDU fan) but yeah, in the time since, I've come to really appreciate a good linear arcade racer with solid progression. Forza Horizon started out fantastic, but it's become a bit 'Ubisoft', a bit of a 'distraction sim'. I wanna get back to the racing, yknow!

@TheGrizMan Oh, agreed. FH5 taken in isolation is bloody brilliant, I just think the series is ready for a bit of a rest. And I miss PGR dearly...

@abe_hikura Not a problem! We haven't heard anything on an Xbox show yet, but there's a good chance they'll show up during the Keighley stream if not. They have said they'll be attending!

@UltimateOtaku91 Hey, just to be clear on this, I meant important/major timed exclusives. My bad, should have been clearer on that. Yes, Xbox still retains some timed exclusives (often mid-tier/indies that probably need the promo/funding), but typically, they've moved away from the big Rise of the Tomb Raider-esque deals that Sony still seems to be striking, esp with Japanese teams.

@abe_hikura Ah okay, probably won't bother me then as it's taken me long enough just to do the story. I'll probably be freeing up some SSD space once it's done (game's about 100gb!)

@Aggirivator Does this happen once the story is wrapped up? I'm almost done with the story, haven't seen this happen during the campaign!

@Stocksy It's similar in premise but you don't control characters at all! It's more Telltale-style, where you're interacting with cutscenes and making dialogue/story decisions. The story is brill though, definitely recommend if you both love playing through story games!

@Feffster Was that part of the DLC bundles; the Expansion Pass or the Add-Ons bundle? As far as I'm aware the standalone DLC page went up this weekend.

@Eejay All I'm aware of is that it drops the res to sub-1080p, like the Xbox One version. If the base XB1 version has lower settings then the FPS Boost one should too, given it just switches to those settings.

@everynowandben Yeah, I think if you have expectations prior it probably doesn't have quite as much impact. But, when you pick this up on a whim expecting a game called "spec ops" to be a bog standard shooter, it does surprise and delight there

@Eleventy8 Yeah, it's a short one too, wouldn't pay £20 for it now. Enjoy it though, it's a good un!

@Spaceman-Spiff 4k60 mode looks fine to my eye! Maybe it's because I sometimes play the 60 mode on Series S and yeah, that makes the X one look nice and crisp 😅

@NEStalgia haha yeah, they are out of stock (of most options 😆).
To be fair, that Amazon one has gone in and out of stock through the day too, so stock ain't reliable wherever you go (aside from maybe design labs)

@Tharsman It needs a little more clarification from MS, which hopefully we'll get once it's fully revealed.
From what I can gather it won't be all games, but basically MS will be rolling out cloud support to games outside of Game Pass, and as long as you're subbed, you can make use of streaming even if the game isn't in the library.
It could come in handy if say, A game has cloud support then it leaves Game Pass, youd still be able to buy and stream it. We don't know yet if the plan is to support cloud on everything eventually.

@Dezzy70 Ps5 digital then! Tbh, Microsoft may have explored this options but with Series S on the market, it'd probably eat into its sales.

@BRT15 I've been playing on PS5 since 120fps disappeared on Xbox, so I can't comment on this. Let's hope the update fixes everything on Xbox!

@A01 Hey, even they called it next gen 😅. I think lots of folk are still calling things 'next gen' until cross-gen passes us by and we're focusing purely on the new systems.

@Vincent294 Yeah I believe it was just a server-side patch so nothing will download locally to your system. Still cool to see the fix happen though!

@themightyant You don't really need to play any Sniper Elite game to enjoy the others. They follow the same lead character, but there's no real story through line, it's just various WW2 missions in different locations across all the games.

@suikoden I need to dig into the missions more, wanted to focus on the core 4v1 part with this early preview. If they're very "Evil Dead" then that sounds like a solid mode!

@creek_king TDU3 is one of my most anticipated games after what KT has done with the last few WRC games. I hope we get to see it in action soon!

@BBB Yeah, absolutely. I came into PCars 3 as someone who didn't get on with 1 and 2, mostly because they didn't translate that well to console imo.
However, I understand the frustration around 3 and I do think they should return to the series' roots. I hope Codies finds a way to use PCars 3 as a base for the next Grid, 2019/Legends just didn't work for me.

@BBB I actually quite liked Project Cars 3, but it wasn't a PCars game. To me it's a better version of Grid than, the recent Grid games, funnily enough. It almost reminds me of the old TOCA games from Codies.

@JetmanUK I tried to be balanced to be honest! I said the turnout is pretty good where intense combat is likely to take place, indoors etc.
I can't put too positive a spin on a 540p game in 2022. To me, it looks very blurry and while the option is appreciated, I can't see why you'd pick this mode over a solid 60.

@Tasuki It's my favourite one of the last generation. I did like Cold War to a certain extent but stuff like SBMM and the seasonal ranking system put me off a little bit. The core game is fun but, some of the changes made surrounding the gameplay I'm not a big fan of tbh :/

@Cherip-the-Ripper Aye yeah, I would leave as default! I usually turn things like grain/motion blur off but this game looks brilliant in its default setup.

@Nexozi I've had a whirl during a few trial periods and something is just off about it. Weird, I quite liked 2017's WWII to be honest!

@Would_you_kindly It's a list of backwards compatible games, so yes, I'm aware they're old.

@JayJ The One X is a great machine for that no doubt! But yeah, as pointed out below, it's more visuals on that system. Some framerates are improved by brute force, but FPS boost and the Series' CPUs are much better for higher frames. I still can't get over a $300 machine hitting 120fps tbh!

@Fiendish-Beaver I don't think playing the first matters too much to be honest! RL2 has added this "House Rules" feature to go over things and let you tune the experience to your liking, so jumping in at 2 sounds feasible!

@el_pieablo Hope you enjoy it! I got more invested in the characters with each subsequent run, just a brilliant experience imo.

@iplaygamesnstuff It's very playable right now. The issue is committing to a "live service" when they clearly aren't ready for it.
