We're getting pretty darn close to Forza Horizon 5's first expansion, as the series returns to the Hot Wheels well later this month. Ahead of DLC 1's July 19th launch, the Xbox Store page is now live with a little more info about the add-on, and the ability to place a pre-order. Here's the new developer description of Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels:
Calling all daredevil drivers and creators! Blast off to the visually stunning, exhilarating new Horizon Hot Wheels Park in the clouds high above Mexico. Experience the fastest, most extreme tracks ever devised. Design, build, and share your own Hot Wheels adventure with over 80 distinct, snappable track pieces. Race 10 amazing new cars including the lightning fast 2021 Hennessey Venom F5 and the iconic 2000 Hot Wheels Deora II.
FH5: Hot Wheels will set you back $20, although a Game Pass sub knocks 10% off that price. Of course, the DLC is also included in the Expansions Bundle (with DLC 2 to come at a later date) and the Premium Add-Ons Bundle, which throws in the Car Pass, Welcome Pack, and Forza Horizon 5 VIP Membership.

If you've not seen much on the DLC just yet and still need convincing, here's a bit of extended gameplay from Xbox's 'Showcase Extended' event last month:
Are you looking forward to razzing around Hot Wheels Park later this month? Let us know!

What better way to celebrate the release of Hot Wheels for FH5 than by rereleasing the DLC for both FH2 and FH3? C’mon, Playground, make it happen…
I’d also welcome FH for the 360 on BC too
@GeekSleeves It is backcompat. but unless you previously own it you need the disc.
I’m confused…I ordered this over a week ago from the store. It was on there (and discounted) so what is this ‘news’ referring to?
@Feffster Was that part of the DLC bundles; the Expansion Pass or the Add-Ons bundle? As far as I'm aware the standalone DLC page went up this weekend.
The game looks good enough to show real gameplay. These 'spiced up' renders with full ray traced reflections are fooling nobody and fundementally dishonest.
For a game as good looking as this one, its totally unnecessary!
@Kezelpaso - I don’t have the season pass and nor had I preordered an expansion. I saw the announcement of the add on (from the showcase) and just searched the store for it - had a little bit of credit on my account so ordered it as a stand-alone DLC. The Hot Wheels add-on now shows as installed but only 10.1MB, so I guess it is just the trigger for the DLC when it becomes ‘live’.
