Sea of Thieves also has a board game. Halo, Minecraft, Gears of War, Skyrim all have had games. I would love to see some from games like The Outer Worlds or Fable.

I am mainly a single player/cooperative gamer, but when I have the itch to play online multiplayer, Halo is my go-to. Forge has made this game next level. Still wish it wasn't on the free to play model, but it feels so good to play.

At least Xbox owners didn't have to buy a 10 year old game for $50. Still I hope 60 FPS comes eventually.

Fun fact. The team that made Remnant 1&2 came from the Crytek team that made Hunt Showdown! This is one of those live service games that is unique (like sea of thieves or For Honor) and that I am glad exists.

It is not an Arkham game. Go in with proper expectations and you will enjoy it. Let me just say... I love the Court of Owls comics by Scott Snyder and this story does a great job using that as inspiration.

You make the argument that the games like COD, Spyro, Crash, etc. existed on all platforms and then use Spiderman as an example for how it should be done? Spiderman is one of the MOST popular brands to ever exist. Although not developed by Insomniac, Spiderman games have existed on all platforms for decades before PS decided to make it an exclusive.

Embracer was expecting to get funding and that fell through. I think Jim Ryan's retirement isn't related to this either. Are there other studios that I would have preferred? Yeah, BUT this is also a way for Microsoft to get into phone games. Apple and Google (who opposed the acquisition) have a duopoly and don't want to give up any market space. I think this is good for both industries.

@somnambulance Sony has acquired 9 studios in the last 2 years. Tencent and Embracer have also been acquiring like mad. Acquisition is not something unique to Xbox in this industry. It has been going on for decades. What is damaging to the industry is not having competition. If Xbox is not allowed to make acquisitions, they would struggle to compete which would result in lower quality products for consumers. Stopping this acquisition would only be protecting the market leader.

@RentedPanda Activision Blizzard has been terrible at treating their employees with some decency. Compare that to the glowing reviews by first party Xbox employees. If you just consider the positive change this acquisition will bring to employees... it is worth it. It also allows studios to be more creative and finish projects that would have not made it otherwise. (psychonauts 2 for example)

@Spider-Kev Sea of Thieves is an absolutely incredible game that is still popular to this day. No doubt it is a steady stream of revenue for Xbox. I realize that people love their games but I would rather have Sea of Thieves than a bunch of collectathon platformers.

@somnambulance I think the acquisition of more first party studios is making Game Pass a great consumer option. Since being subscribed to Game Pass, I have played more games I wouldn't have had the money for. I have tried and fallen in love with games that I wouldn't have thought I would enjoy. Game Pass reignited my love for gaming. Competition is good. This is good for gaming.

Khan is big dumb. Xbox says they will close before this in house trial will even begin. Now that Sony has signed a contract for COD and Ubisoft has the cloud rights, what are they even going to argue???

By trying so hard to make it look "cool", it definitely did not look cool. When all the character models look like drag queens, its gonna be a no from me.

I wish that Outer Worlds collection would drop in price a bit more. I have played it twice on Game Pass, but I would like to own it and all the DLC.

Lots of people here that are just crapping on Xbox... Honestly, it was really unfortunate that this information got out. I don't see why people are vilifying Phil. Xbox is still headed in the right direction. Game Pass is still the best deal in gamin. It is GREAT to see that Xbox is investing in the long term. Just think... ten years ago Xbox almost ended.

Gotham Knights does some things very well. I enjoyed the story, combat, and characters. The things it doesn't do well would include the crafting system, bad menus and UI, and a not very dense/distinct open world (compared to Arkham Knight). I played as Red Hood and it was a lot of fun! Also love the court of owls comic.

Keep in mind that 2023 is one of the biggest years in gaming history. For Starfield to be fifth while launching GamePass day one is a HUGE accomplishment. I am interested to see the increase in subs over the last couple month as well.

Pretty sure that Phil said something like this in regard to Zenimax games "These games will exist where game pass is". Couldn't be much more clear than that.

The continued support for this game is a huge part of why I am taking my time. I don't want to get burnt out since I know there is so much more coming in terms of updates and mods.

Where is SEA OF THIEVES?? It is an online only 1st party game that has sooo many season passes and microtransactions. It was a mistake not including it imo

I got Far Cry 5 Gold edition, Fenyx Rising Gold Edition, Watch Dogs 2 Deluxe, Ghost Recon Breakpoint deluxe all for $15.

It is hard to justify more controller purchases when I always use my elite controller. The elite 2 has ruined me.

@Garamari That is what I heard from several sources. I am glad to hear that as a series s owner. It makes you think if Starfield can do it, then other games should be able to as well.

I like the all black look much better. Plus, the increased storage is awesome. Owning the original series s, the storage is one of my only gripes.

Halo did a great job going open world. The Coalition is an excellent studio, so I am sure if they are doing an open world, it will also be awesome. However, I have some concerns with how it will feel. Movement/traversal in Gears doesn't really combine well with open spaces. I am optimistic.

CDKeys also has the game on sale.

Vigilante 8 was an awesome game on the N64. I never owned a 360 but always hoped Vigilante 8 Arcade would somehow get on the next gen...

@GeeEssEff Agreed. Since I am still playing Remnant 2 and Starfield coming out, I can wait for a black friday discount before jumping in.

I don't really care about metacritic scores. I have a couple of youtubers that enjoy the same games I do, so I value their opinion over some media outlet. However, this is still not a day one buy. I am still playing remnant 2 and Starfield is less than a month away. So i am sure it will get a decent discount around black friday.

I have been playing on my series s. Looks good and feels good even at 30fps. Highly recommend. Boss design is a huge step up from the previous game.

I hope Atlas Fallen is good. The Surge series is awesome, but I am not sold on this new game quite yet.

First game was awesome. This game seems to improve nearly everything. Unless you have a series s, I would recommend this game.

Just in time for the new COD game this year.

It is literally still Xbox Gold but instead of free games every month you have access to a small library of game pass games. The other tiers have not changed at all. The base game pass has never had online.

Tiny Tina's wonderlands also totally worth $20. Most complaints came from end game content, but the campaign is really great and would take 30 to 40 hours to finish everything.

Gotham Knights is worth $20. Good story and combat outweigh the negatives IMO.

Judge Corley was amazing. Professional and unbiased the whole way. She alone was able to understand the gaming market better than the CMA.

It is nice to see AA developers get some love. Remnant 2 and Atlas Fallen (The Surge 2) are both awesome, and I hope they turn out as good as their previous games.

I just finished the campaign last night. It is a 6.5/10 for me. The world is fun to explore, and I like the vibe of the game. Combat and gameplay are average. What really brings it down for me is the mission design, enemy AI, and bugs in my multiplayer sessions that caused us to restart a couple times almost every session.

First game is incredible. This has been my most anticipated game for some time. Plenty of gameplay out there and tons of support from the Devs for the first game. Highly recommend.

Just hoping that the showcase doesn't leak. They are doing a great job keeping it hidden so far!

Arkham Origins is from 360 but you need the disc to play. Wish I could buy it digitally.
