@FraserG + the gang, no problem buddy and thank you for bringing the site back! It really came at the perfect time. I'd only just bought an Xbox 4-5 months before you reopened the site. Every day of that, I wondered, why isn't there an Xbox website?! To add to that, when it finally came, it was in the same style and form factor as push square and Nintendo Life which are two sites I regularly visit and am familiar with which made site navigation a breeze! Funnily enough, my most played demo was for Tony hawk's 2 on PS1. I got the demo with a magazine and it contained the Marseille level and I must have played it for months until I got the full game for Christmas!

It had a competition for money if you got a certain amount of points, which I did multiple times but too late to enter the comp!

The best thing that could come out of this for me would be a release of a joy con pair with analog triggers for use on game pass. Such a controller would encourage many more Devs to code support for the feature into their games instead of the paltry few that have supported the GameCube controller.

I'd really like them to discount the DLC for Trials HD

@AJDarkstar I believe so yeah, i think they've found old Dr who and Dad's army that way. Sometimes it's ex employees who just know of a stash in some abandoned BBC studio, or even people clearing out these buildings.

I don't know if there is any monetary compensation for providing the recordings, considering they usually get cleaned up, adapted and released on blu ray or streaming if it's a more popular show. Aparrently it was quite common to just record the audio instead of both image and audio, so some TV shows exist as audio only which i believe is why there are animated classic Dr who episodes available on blu ray

@AJDarkstar especially funny considering that BBC have an open request for people to submit video recordings they've made of lost TV shows that the BBC themselves didn't have the foresight/budget to preserve!

@AJDarkstar I had to look it up but it seems like you are right because they changed the law in 2015 🤦🏻‍♂️😨. Seems crazy though seeing as it was like the main feature of the minidisc and subsequently the iPod etc. Did everyone's 90s and noughties tech just become obsolete overnight in 2015? Just seems ridiculous! I can't get on board with that law so even though I probably haven't ripped a CD since 2011, I am still a criminal at heart

@AJDarkstar I completely agree. Basic emulator for any disc game you own, bugs or no bugs. They can do enhanced versions of those that need licenses. I don't know if there is an OG Xbox emulator for PC but people are within their rights to rip their Xbox discs and play them however they want as long as they don't share the ISOs so I don't see why they don't just throw the official emulator into the wild! Even if they tracked what people played, it might give them clues as to what games are worth enhancing, obtaining licenses for and releasing as a paid version digitally!

@Dezzy70 I ordered some chocolate for a Xmas present from Amazon. Got a box of out of date chocolate and they asked me to return it. Not being funny, but I ain't going to the post office in a pandemic to return mouldy old chocolate when it's hardly my fault that it was sent to me in the first place.

For some reason I can keep claiming the new day perk so I don't know if it's gone through or not! I don't have time to actually boot up gears 5 and check due to work and I've not used the multiplayer on it so I don't know how quickly I'd find the right menu to check. Maybe I'll try and make some time for it tonight or tomorrow.

I picked up the Mafia trilogy because it seemed reasonable at £30 when the first one by itself is just £10 less. Hopefully it's worth it, did they patch out the issues in the end?

Crazy idea, but if they did a Dreamcast 2 themed Xbox series X limited edition for standard price then I would buy it in a heartbeat

They could probably team up with Sega to do it as a joke (that would sell like hotcakes) just because of all of the rumours that spread around

I've always thought this controller and it's accessories could be really good for any gamer and not just those that require it. If the price was lower for it and all the extra parts then the possibilities could be endless in terms of customisation. I'd definitely get a kick out of building specific rigs for different games!

I'd get the command and conquer games if they supported mouse and keyboard but I don't think the 360 versions did :/

My gamerpic is a tiny monkey because I had it on the 360 and never updated it. It's just a tiny pic in the center of a large circle. I thought about changing it but I can't see a new one I like on the menu

I finished Talos Principle and it's DLc which is included and it was blimmin excellent!

For Xbox one I use a wired connection, 2meter usb extension and the usb cable that came with PS4 as it's the only one I have that gives a steady connection and never cuts out

Madden 25 confused the hell out of me so I had to look it up and found it was madden 14 but named 25 as it was the 25th year of the madden series 🤯. It's going to make the madden game in 5 years time be even more confusing!

@Rockboy247 nice, yeah it's a bit weird that it's on a ten hour trial if the campaign is less than ten hours but I guess they just want people to buy it for multiplayer

Looks like the ten hour trials are included too. I'm seriously considering star wars squadrons as hltb has the campaign listed as 8-10 hours but I just know i'd get distracted by side quests!

I really wouldn't have thought Xbox would be on Chris eubanks radar and vice versa!

I read somewhere that there were 8 unfilled DLC character slots when Aftermath came out, and I guess this fills 3 of them. I wonder if there will be a final Kombat pack and a Komplete-er edition at some point in the future.

@JON22 fair enough, I imagine the console itself is probably safe to sniff/lick as it will probably have been in the box long enough as a quarantine period. I'd probably just wipe down the box!

Also B&M is awesome, I just wish it had an online store as I don't have one near me!

What's the downside of licking it though? Even while it's on it probably won't damage it or you as long as you don't stick your tongue inside it.

Not that I'd lick it anyway but I would probably clean it down with anti bac spray and wait 72 hours for it to be in quarantine before licking it just in case there is any trace covid 19 on it.

@FraserG I got the new store on Xbox one now and it seems like I can't buy armed and dangerous anymore so I guess I own it now 🤷‍♂️. I can buy it as a gift though and it still appears in my GwG but with "owned" stamped across it so who knows?

Thought I'd give you a quick update on it! It's precarious ownership situation probably means I'm actually more likely to play it before my sub runs out so it might work in the games favour 😅
