Re: Don't Expect A Halo 'Inside Infinite' Blog Update This Month

Senua

@BAMozzy But why should Halo be visually on par with HFW. Halo has its own unique look and art style, they have never strived for realism. For Halo the fluidity of controls, the sandbox, the multiplayer and the core mechanics are more important the other Graphical showcases.
Most gamers know this…they just make the comparison anyway.
Especially when they said they would go for a less noisy design, for different puproses ( competition is one of them ). It is not gonna be ultra realistic, but its own art-style, which is a good thing.
Its more of a timeless artstyle. Thats the reason people still love the Original Trilogy even though the graphics are mediocre. Even new players who have just got into the series say the same thing. The whole feel of the game is different. The way the gameplay, the music, the mechanics and the story harmonizes together makes it something special which is timeless.
The last thing I want Xbox to do is to make games look a certain way just because they need to win the internet over and get brownie points on screenshot wars.

Re: Is DICE Teasing Battlefield 6 Will Be At Xbox’s E3 Showcase?

“The show will be focused on games from Xbox Game Studios, Bethesda, and many game creators from our partners around the world.”

“You’ve told us how excited you are about welcoming Bethesda into the Xbox family, so we know you’re going to want a front-row seat to the Xbox & Bethesda Games showcase – a 90-minute show packed with everything you want to know about the epic gaming lineup coming out of this partnership, the incredible games coming to Xbox this holiday, upcoming releases on Xbox Game Pass, and more.”

Re: Rumour: Xbox Has Five New AAA Games To Announce At E3

Senua

Thank you this is exactly what I have been wanting to hear all this time. 🙏

“5+ major reveals with a solid showing for Halo Infinite and Starfield would have the makings of a great conference. Surround those with a few XGS updates for a few announced games, Game Pass news, some cool indies and a few key third party trailers and you’ve got yourself a top tier Xbox show. It may not live up to the craziest expectations of some but it would be one of Microsoft’s best E3 showings, with the knowledge that the exclusives and Game Pass situation will only improve every year over the next few years.”

Predictions : Project Typhoon, Arkane’s Project Omen, Forza Horizon 5, next Compulsion IP, next IOI IP, next Kojima IP.

Re: Interesting, Obsidian Is Hiring For An 'Unannounced' RPG

@LtSarge You can expect several narrative-adventure titles from studios like the Initiative, Ninja Theory, Compulsion, Coalition, Xbox Game Studios Publishing and several Zenimax studios (Indiana Jones etc.). There’s no need to worry about the diversity in Xbox 1st party lineup.

Re: Yes, Bethesda's Starfield Reportedly Will Be An Xbox And PC Exclusive

Senua

@BAMozzy Microsoft has a very good track record of supporting “legacy” software versions and providing minor updates but that doesn’t really imply they are going to release the upcoming next software versions of those on other platforms. What Phil has told clearly is that this deal is about bringing great “exclusives” on gamepass supported platforms. Now if some platform doesn’t come with an internet browser deliberately to keep gamepass streaming option away from it’s users then that’s a different issue.

Re: Resident Evil Village Shines On Xbox Series X, But Has Some 'Difficulties' On Series S

@abe_hikura This game doesn’t leverage the next-gen storage API (Velocity Architecture) on Xbox Series consoles. Once games start utilising those APIs like Direct Storage, Sampler Feedback etc the loading will be near-instantaneous on Xbox Series and PC.

https://youtu.be/n0sMmt-rSzQ

It’s like in the Village demo where neither of these console versions were utilising the next-gen storage APIs so the loading times were very close between each other.

@teraflop797 Different genre, different artistic style and vision. It is supposed to give the player a trippy experience. Also this is a crowd-funded multiplatform title and not a AAA next-gen exclusive.
It’s a shame that 🦄s always talk about how they have all these wonderful “exclusives” to play yet they still got time to come here on a Xbox site to defend their overlord and tell you how they absolutely hate Xbox platform and do not want it to succeed. 🤮

Re: Leaked Documents Suggest Xbox Wants To Bring Game Pass To Other Consoles

@sqxrz It is 100% certain just from sheer facts that :

1. Cloud will never dominate over native hardware gaming market.
2. Most next-gen features of PC gaming (lot of them are not even available on PC) are researched and developed on Xbox consoles first. Microsoft is highly invested towards Windows and PC development but due to highly fragmented PC market install base it’s always more feasible to create and test new technologies first on consoles.
3. Phil Spencer has the most promising vision to make Cloud gaming as an accessory service only. Every other companies who have gone to a cloud-first approach gaming are at loss now.
4. Other platforms are also working on Gamepass/xCloud alternatives of their own and they have already started supporting PC gaming (console narrow mindset won’t work for financial viability). Also they have gone as far as not including a web browser so that xCloud doesn’t come to their platforms.
5. There’s not a single financial competitive advantage that Microsoft will achieve if they stop producing consoles as they are selling out and performing really well right now. They have gone as far as launching 2 consoles together in this generation which is a huge investment. Also it will be a great loss for all consumers if they never get to know what performance advantages they are missing out on when there’s no competition. Competition is always preferred to benefit all consumers. There’s always room for more than one and only idiotic fanboys will want anything otherwise.
6. Phil has confirmed few months ago that they are already designing and developing the next Xbox console.

So no matter which fanboy youtuber or fake journalists tell you otherwise, it’s just not going to happen with 0% possibility.

Re: Leaked Documents Suggest Xbox Wants To Bring Game Pass To Other Consoles

@sqxrz Don’t worry it won’t be the last Xbox console by any means. The native performance will be always better than the cloud ones. This is just to ensure everyone gets a peak into the Xbox ecosystem before they make further investment. But next-gen consoles, SDK, APIs etc will always be under research and development by Microsoft. Also you need to have a browser for xCloud (in ecosystems that doesn’t want to share revenues).
