Forza horizon 3 for me, perfect game with awesome dlc content for it.
I'm quite partial to 4. Them seasons
That’s easy 4. It had LEGO >.>
I've only only played 4 so I didn't vote but i heard 3 was great. The hotwheels dlc looked pretty good so I'm curious to see how the poll ends.
I've played 1-3 but not 4 and while 1 was my favourite for a long time, I think 3 has replaced it now.
Can't wait to play 4 though!
I have only played 3 and 4, both are masterpieces but I chose 3.
I am going with 4, as it’s the best racing game I have ever played. It’s like a racing RPG at this point.
I will give a shout out to FH3, though, as I loved the game itself. But that Hot Wheels DLC was so awesome.
@Krzzystuff
The Hot Wheels DLC was absolutely crazy awesome. I am hoping the LEGO DLC is just as good in FH4.
Edit - grammar errors.
Has to be 4 - if for no other reason that I am from the UK and so the setting of 4 gives it the edge over all the others. I must say, 3 was great too but I do think its a series that has improved with each new iteration.
Some franchises start great, improve with the 2nd and maybe 3rd, but then just make the same game over and over again or drop off, remove things to sell as MTX/DLC...
I am looking forward to playing the upgrades to 4 on my Series X and disappointed that games, like the excellent 3, are being removed. I know that '4' is the latest, but 3 is still worth keeping, worth buying and definitely worth preserving. Its a shame that newcomers to Xbox (especially those with the all digital Series S) won't be able to buy Horizon 3 anymore. Even if its not getting upgraded for Series S/X, I still don't understand why its being removed and should be purchasable and playable via BC.
The original. The constant autumn in Colorado makes it a lovely game to play at this time of year. The lack of off-roading makes the street cars much classier than usual (nobody in real life drives a Bugatti through a field) and it easily has the best soundtrack of any game in the series.
Best of all though is the festival presentation feels almost real, more so than any other game in the series. You feel like a contender rather than just a player in a game world. The personalities behind the driving rivals gave it a touch of story the other games never had.
FH2 was ok.
FH3 is much better when you take it off road.
FH4 is incredible but frustrated by its lack of ability to pick a season and locking every damned reward behind a loot box mechanic.
I voted 3, but I haven’t played 4 yet because I’m waiting for the Series X version.
Ive played and loved all 4. I went for the first. Was such a high quality game and signed off the generation of games so brilliantly.
Sequels have improved the games overall, but the feeling of playing that first one in 2013 (I know it came out 2012 but I only got mine a while after) is one of my favourite gaming memories.
When people go on about Last of Us, God of War, Mario etc... Forza Horizon is genuinely worthy of mention and sits alongside those other franchises as one of gaming's true greats
i played Horizon 3 first then played 2 and 1 around the same time as each other, completely missed out on the DLC as they had reached their end of life; really regret that. that wasn't the case with part 4 though. fave is part 2 i think, but, they are all excellent games
@KelticDevil Erm...it’s not. I got bored with it pretty quickly. The Hot Wheels DLC was way better in my opinion.
@RadioHedgeFund (nobody in real life drives a Bugatti through a field)
You would be surprised.
I love 3 and 4 and they're def the better games. But horizon 2 has a special place in my heart. They're probably the best racing games I've ever played. Enjoy the Dirt series as well, but that can't touch Horizon.
I only have played 2 and 4, I did snag 3 before they remove it from the store but I haven't played it yet. I will go with 4. The game play is like a better version of The Crew and I really enjoyed that game alot too. (Played and finished it before I knew about Horizon). I can't wait to play it on the Series X when I get that at some point.
@Tasuki Ur in for a treat.
@Nexozi Oh I know I love how it looks right now on my Xbox One. I can only imagine what it look like on the series X
@Tasuki The series X version should be unreal. Really looking forward to November. Really hope they're working on Horizon 5 as well as Fable. This series is too good to drop.
4! No 2! No 3! Actually it’s 1!
It’d be easier to choose between my Children.
@electrolite77 That comment genuinely made me laugh out loud.
Only started playing the Horizon series like a month ago. Have 4 on gamepass and bought 3 yesterday.
@BAMozzy
It’s being removed licensing reasons to the music & some of the cars. It happens to all racing games. You can still buy FH1, 2, & 3 on disc & play them fine. That’s what I did.
@KelticDevil I’ve messed around with 4 on PC and really liked it, though I’m very excited to revisit it, the Lego DLC, 3, and the Hot Wheels DLC when I get a series S/X. I’m curious if there’s any way to obtain the Fast and Furious DLC for 2 at this point? And was it any good? I may pick up 2 on disc at some point once I work my way through the newer games.
Has to be Forza Horizon 4 overall..
However, the Hotwheels DLC for Forza Horizon 3 makes it a tough choice... It really is great fun..
I'd have to go with Forza Horizon 3. It has the most content, best soundtrack, best expansions and a more varied world to explore. Forza Horizon 4 is currently second for me.
I do wonder though if Forza Horizon 4 will get more expansions. Playground Games is working on Fable so Forza Horizon 5 is years off if it exists at all meanwhile Turn 10 announced in July that Forza Motorsport is early in development so is likely also years off. Several years Forza break seems unlikely.
@KelticDevil I wondered if it was a licensing issue - its still disappointing. It doesn't affect me as I have the game on Disc but its still a shame that its being deleted.
Still Forza Horizon 3 for me, preferred the setting
@Nermannn
Unfortunately, the DLC for FH2 is gone forever if you didn’t already purchase it by now.
@BAMozzy
Sports games have this same issue sometimes. Same thing with like the Marvel games Activision made.
Speaking of that, I hope Microsoft works out a deal with Activision to get the 360 games Wolfenstein & Quake 4 on Game Pass or at least backwards compatible. Those games were made by Raven & were pretty good. It was before Bethesda bought the licenses.
@Grumblevolcano
Playground Games was hiring a lot of people to create another team. So they could, theoretically, be working on two games right now. One on Fable & one on FH5.
I think having the next FH in Japan would be awesome.
It's easily 4 for me. They're all incredible games of course, but the setting of 4 is by far my favorite.
The Forza Horizon series really redefined the racing genre. It showed that you could have a casual racing game that is fun without the need of blowing up other cars with turtle shells.
The special dlcs for each version really steps it up. Using Nos in Forza 2 was amazing and the hot wheels made me feel like I was 10 again.
I have a confession to make, I never played a Forza game before🤦♂️🤦♂️
2 is my favorite and I have no problem admitting nostalgia is some of that. It was a huge step up from the first game (which I also love, it was my favorite racer that gen) and it was also one of the first games of this current gen that made me feel like we were finally making that leap from the 360 days. It was the main reason I bought an Xbox One and it lived up to my expectations in every way. I remember playing the demo on the X1 I had bought about 2 weeks prior and being blown away. There's no doubt, FH 3 and 4 are both better games, but the memories I have of 2 are ones I'll never forget.
Rankings:
1. Forza Horizon 2
2. FH 4
3. FH 3
4. FH
All phenomenal games.
i do love 4, and i have a ton of time in it. but i love 3 more. something about the setting, the building up of festival sites, the soundtrack, etc. that makes it stand out in my mind.
Tough one between 3 and 4, but 4 edged it for me as it's UK based. They are all good games though.
I never really played much of the first 2. 4 is probably the best overall but I spent a lot more time in 3 so voted for that
I bought Game Pass for the Rare collection and Halo mostly, but Forza Horizon 4 totally won me over. Spent 150+ hours on the game, bought the complete DLC package and still get back to it to grab the latest cars.
Also bought Forza Horizon 3 after it, including the DLC last week for just a tenner, and it has its charm. But it's by far not as complete, as well thought-out, as well executed as Horizon 4.
Man, I love those games. Announce 5 already MS!
3 is the best... 4 is only the 3 with a new coat of paint and new location...
I've only played 4. The main game was great and I like how the season changes every week. I wasn't overly impressed with the Lego DLC, though; it's fine, because at the end of the day it's more FH4, but for me personally there was this feeling throughout that Playground could have done more with it.
