Didn’t auto update -even under manage add ons. Had to launch game and now it is downloading the expansion

Kameo on Gamepass - played through on 360 years ago. 4K 60fps boost for Series X makes it worth a second look.

Yes, Series X has brought me back to Xbox and I’m loving it. I was ‘away’ from gaming for the best part of a decade - completely skipped the XB1/PS4 generation & the step up from XB360/PS3 to current gen is eye watering. Loving Gamepass and the graphics on Series X at 4K 60fps is like dreamland for my eyes. This is what gaming is meant to be like, and something I could never have imagined back in the days of my Atari 400!

@frabbit - ditto to that, looking forward to replaying some of those missions without the need for a restart

@ParsnipHero - thanks, yes - I get the fact that there are Russian enemies, but there are scores of existing games out there with the same or a Russian connotation, no one is banning those or withdrawing them from sale as far as I know. The idea that Goldeneye on Xbox is being delayed because of the war is just nonsensical to me, as I said above - it is a work of fiction.

@blockfight - spot on. How much garbage did we have before the Xbox/Bethesda showcase?…….most of it utter garbage.

Re Goldeneye on Xbox - The game is fictional - so what possible relevance does the war in Ukraine have upon its release?

@Kezelpaso - I don’t have the season pass and nor had I preordered an expansion. I saw the announcement of the add on (from the showcase) and just searched the store for it - had a little bit of credit on my account so ordered it as a stand-alone DLC. The Hot Wheels add-on now shows as installed but only 10.1MB, so I guess it is just the trigger for the DLC when it becomes ‘live’.

I’m confused…I ordered this over a week ago from the store. It was on there (and discounted) so what is this ‘news’ referring to?

Brilliant service, impossible to imagine anyone saying it isn’t great value for money. It has grown more than even MS realise - they keep advertising GP as having 100+ games…..when I last counted it was over 350, plus nearly another 100 on EA Play for those with Ultimate. For a tenner a month it’s an absolute no-brainer.

Pre ordered. Looking forward to this, FH5 is top drawer and I’m sure this won’t disappoint. I was away from gaming for a decade (completely missed XB1/PS4 generation) - so pretty much anything and everything makes me smile on Series X. Happy Days.

@themightyant - thanks. I currently struggle streaming games on my XSX - I can play them but they are poor quality (jittery frame rates, etc) - I find it much better quality to download to the console. I like the concept of a streaming app though, will be interesting to see how this develops.

I assume you’ll need speedy internet for this to work well?

Hoping it will be a polished remaster, as good as the original was (and I loved it) I’m not sure I could play again if it is still fuzzy N64 graphics. Heck, even a 360 version should by now be enhanced - look at the Series X enhanced versions of Kameo, Assassins Creed 1, Mirrors Edge, etc as examples of what a 4K 60fps boosted version can look like.

Strangers Wrath, Exhumed and Shadow Man all coming to Gamepass would be nice. Not expecting much though - maybe FH5 dlc, new Forza, Gears collection and Deathloop. I know the fps boost project is ‘dead’, but I’d still like to see Dishonoured 2, Orange Box and Red Dead Redemption (1 and 2j added to the list. I hope the Goldeneye remake doesn’t ruin the memories of what was a ‘perfect’ game, back in the day.

Excellent news, looking forward to playing Origins on Gamepass. Odyssey was my first dip into the series and had me hooked straight away, also looks superb on Series X at 60fps.

A slimmer PS5 or an affordable 2TB (or 4TB) version of the XSX might be tempting for some, but I don’t see a major “upgrade” in the next few years - it’s just not needed.

On the plus side it means more time to deal with the backlog, but there’s no escaping this is embarrassing news for Microsoft. With the studios under their wing there should be a consistent stream of First Party AAA releases - not a constant stream of excuses and delays. Let’s hope for more positive news on FM, Perfect Dark, Fable and Deathloop.

Wishful thinking, but it would be great if Assassins Creed Origins arrives at the same time as the 60fps Series X upgrade Ubisoft have been “looking into” (December).
