Unless MS has paid to get them on Game Pass, so worth Squares effort as when these don't sell on Xbox. What's Square excuse going to be when a game doesn't sell a billionz copies

When the games don't sell on Xbox, wonder what Square's excuse will be now.

Not that they put out 42 games in 4 years, that's a game every 5 weeks with a lot not being of great quality (and I've played most of them) with a bunch being exclusive to PlayStation and more to Nintendo, that they're all over the place where the games are.

Gens used to be 5.5 years long on avg.

That if next Xbox is 2026 which was rumoured and stuff brought up in court cases, that's 6 years. And if same rumours etc for PS6 in 2027, that's 7 years and they've said PS5 over halfway and 4 years into a gen seems over halfway to me.

So I don't see how it is a short gen, like that last one was 7 years, if avg is 6.5 years for Series/PS5.

@Sifi think you still missing the point, about paying for subs be it Game Pass, Plus, Netflix, Disney that they're not FREE as you're paying to access content

@Banjo- the PlayStation ones like MLB seem to be down to licensing and Helldivers II rumours been squashed multiple times. Seeing PS5 been the most profitable gen for PlayStation, not sure they need to go elsewhere. Think with live service games such as Concord, needs a player place that PC gamers seem to jump in on them.

But I've actually said for years, should just be here's your machine be it from Sony, Samsung, LG, Microsoft and just play games on them. Like at the moment I own a PS5, Series S and Switch because only way to play all the games, so one box be great. Yes I know I'm just asking for a PC 😂

@Sifi I don't pay £12.99 a month (actually got 9 months for £36 recently), it was like a few of the other replies that paying for something isn't free.

Like my Disney+ subscription isn't free as I pay for that.

Also have got deals on PSN but buy credit of a CDKEYS then use that to buy Plus etc

When did likes of Game Pass become free, sure it's £12.99 a month. Going to go watch Star Wars for free on Disney+

@NEStalgia that's my point Square are odd like why put Saga Emerald on Switch, PS4, PS5, PC, iOS and Android like why missout Xbox, then ya have something like Octopath Traveller that even came to Stadia but missed PlayStation

@Banjo- yeah we know PlayStation has that I agree with but we don't really know if Nintendo paid for Triangle Strategy to only be Nintendo, Live A Live was a timed exclusive then came to PlayStation they must have paid for that, that's to name a few not the other dozens of games. As can't see Square doing it for the goodness of there heart, must be money involved somewhere.

Not saying either right, it's more people only seem to care about Final Fantasy, yet Square makes loads of games and I'd like to have them all on my one system. Seems very selective the complaining.

What I never get is articles like this always brings up PlayStation and the Square exclusives on that. Yet, there's more Square exclusives on Switch and no one ever talks about those 🤔 as I can't play Paranormasight on my PS or Xbox, where's the outrage for that.

Then it's always X flopped because only on PlayStation, we don't know if Sony paid what might been the amount sold elsewhere as Xbox % often low, PC likely should be there day one. Square in 2023 put out 34 games, how do they expect that many games to do well and I remember how they said Tomb Raider underperformed but sold like 8m.

I really think they expect too much from there games.

As someone that's bought a OG, 360, ONE, ONE X and Series X at launch. I don't see the need to buy the NeXt-Box, "IF" I can play Gears or Elder Scrolls on a PS6. As I've owned those systems and others for the exclusives, that's the selling point to me not Game Pass.

Though the rumored handheld I'd be keen on for a bunch of Game Pass indies.

I'll be playing on UPLay+ anyway, and wouldn't that be the ultimate edition of the game as well.

What is this Horizon? As had anniversary etc re-imagining of the OG then the reboot, do we really need third time

Game is on Switch as well and looks good on the system, that this looking good on Series S isn't surprising.

@TryToBeHopeful see I'd say it's miles better than Gold or Plus which most comparable to and then library doesn't stay (like if signed up now I'd have 4 games not 50) with Jedi Fallen Order, Life is Strange, Wavetale, Ys etc

@TryToBeHopeful Pro is great now as if you sign up today you've got access to like 50+ games, and I've had it almost since day one that I have a library of about 150 games in Pro.

Just on launch was only 4 games, and had took time to build that library up of always around 50 games in the service.

Sounds like that women Xbox took on after Stadia pulled out of exclusives (they've still had the odd indie like Wavetale), might have paid off with High on Life and Kojima game.

It is a bit of a shame though as the tech works, and games like these might have brought people in especially if put on Pro.

C from me as no wow games, and the graphic afterwards for 2022 at least wasn't all that.

@XxEvilAshxX Yep as I already play the game on my PS4/5, where my mate only has a XSX he would be a new audience.

I can only see that I tell my mate the game is great, and he goes hey Guts can I get that on my XSX.

Had them all (Not sure why One X is listed as just a One enhanced) and the OG is my favourite.

My Series X, so far is a ? As sure the best way to play loads of games, but it has nothing that makes it special IMO at the moment maybe in a few years when we've had Hellblade II, Fable, Starfield, ESO VI, Avowed my answer will change.

Even the new boxart will have same problem like Hot Wheels new boxart would say Xbox One & Series X for the Xbox One version and the Series X box would just have Series X and the logo in the corner. Only difference it be in white.

The Annapurna Showcase was great but some games exclusive to Xbox e.g. Artful Escape, some Switch e.g. Neon White, some PlayStation e.g. Stray.

That I just see it some systems get some games and some don't, why I have/will have all three systems to just play great games regardless of system.

I do get that a multiformat publisher deciding to do this with some games only on one system etc that is a tad annoying.

That might be the best month yet and sure we've had GTAV and stuff like Yakuza but a lot of new games here which Last Stop & Ascent will be great, hopefully.

@blinx01 I didn't know that, as I just saw all these comments on here and elsewhere going on about a $70 Director's Cut which I just saw as the base game, dlc etc and to me that just looked like GOTY edition that we've had those for decades that wasn't sure of the problem people had with it.

Like Dying Light Platinum Edition just announced for Switch for 50 with all the content.

I don't get the bashing of the Ghost Directors Cut as you can just buy the DLC and the DLC is being rumored to be about 15hrs long (I very much doubt it) and if you've not played before you can buy it all together in one package.

I don't know how this any different to likes of Witcher 3 GOTY Edition, Gears 5 GOTY Edition or Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition all got re-released at RRP with all the content.

To me this what this is, like I bought HZD at launch then bought the DLC when that come out and others would have bought the expansions for Witcher 3 where could have waited for a complete bundle.

@Doctorwhoooourgh You mean Village and that wasn't the case, the Xbox version couldn't have extras over the PlayStation like an extra map for mercs. Also come out after deals like this done all the time between them all, and we know it was a thing back in the day for 360.

I'm more curious why it needs to be played through the cloud, as it seems to be the Stadia game they pulled funding from and MS have now picked up instead.

FFVII exclusive stuff is weird as when Yuffie was announced it was just her being touted as PS5 exclusive, and I took it to be like Avengers which Spider-Man will only be on PlayStation.

Then it was announced Intergrade 6 months exclusive, so is the PS4 version able to come elsewhere?
Can the remaster come elsewhere, but no Yuffie?
Will it come elsewhere in 6 months, but not Yuffie?
Will everything including Yuffie come elsewhere in 6 months?

IO is an odd one as they only just went independent from Square (I think).

The whole more studios one is odd as if Xbox do get a monopoly could lead to worse games, but competition is a good thing.

Really though all these studios be it 23 or 26, I want to see the games now.

Yet the exclusives on both PlayStation and Nintendo, will make buy those systems.

Sure MS going in different direction and someone wants to play Halo Infinite can use the Cloud Stick instead of getting a console and still a MS service being used.

What mightyant said this was an interesting review which was rather positive as well with only the one negative which they even turn into positive.

To me if Xbox takes this feedback on board for these internal reviews, what does that mean to a Perfect Dark in terms of VO, Graphics, Story etc but improve on where they feel TLoU is weak with fantastic gunplay then to me, that's good.

Overall better games from all companies is only a good thing.

I'm playing on Series X and my only issue I would have said is load times. Other games spoiled me or it's Nier having so many of them, makes it seem worse.

I love Game Pass and why Xbox is now my main system now, along with not getting a PS5 at the moment as I'm waiting for the bigger 1st party games for that, as that all I be playing on it.

Yet even if there wasn't a deal I don't expect every game to come to Game Pass or in a timely manner, Res Evil Village is one till today I wouldn't even think about it in regard to Game Pass for a few years at least.

Outriders and MLB has spoiled us, on what we should be expecting.

I've not seen much mate beyond that, and I do frequent here and the two sister sites Push Square and Nintendo Life again that's how I know along with other places Returnal is March for PS5 and Pokémon Snap is April for Switch.

Wonder what version as it's one of a few games with just a Series XS version and if that come to Game Pass then ONE owners can't play it. If it was the other way around then Series XS owners be playing the ONE version but would be playable

I hope to hear what's coming as even though I don't own a PS5 at the moment I've got a rough idea what's coming and same for my Switch but for Xbox part from Halo and console version of Flight Sim what's coming?

I can see Ubisoft+ being part of a version of Game Pass (maybe like a premium Game Pass which gives DLC for likes of Forza) but otherwise seems too good to be true when Ubisoft+ is £10 a month on its own on PC, Luna and Stadia then to be part of a service with no extra cost like EA Play was only £20ish a year anyway

So if Ubisoft+ comes to console why would anyone Xbox pay just £10 a month for Ubisoft+, if they could get that and more for the same amount

Also, the rest of that list in the tweet seems like hopeful predictions more than anything

@BlueOcean its one of those things like maybe if i had sold my Xbox One X instead of my PS4 I'd would go Xbox Series X day one as it does this and this for me, why I kept the One X because of my 400+ games, Game Pass and for 3rd parties at the moment such as Tony Hawk better place to play than PS4

Where I was done with PS4 (I may have played
Fall Guys) and getting what I did for it on ebay was a lot that its paid for the PS5
