@Blastfemur I'm not sure I either specified Salem or indicated that I was assuming any sort of historical accuracy. It's just a clichéd horror connection with the region which happens to work really well in fiction.
@Friendly you can feel the redirections in what they were teying to make throughout it, so it ends up feeling like it needed more time even though more time is all it's had. And it still manages to show up lacking in content. Not great.
@Tasuki It can be played in full solo with AI taking the other squad roles, which all works really well, or you can team up with friends/randoms online.
@Bigmanfan Hate to break it to you mate, but not only did I not get paid off for a review (plz stop it these these fantasies), I actually bought the early access edition on the NZ store, just so I could get a review out timely. Shouldnt have bothered!
@Ryu_Niiyama Yeah, it's a real odd decision given all the work that's gone in to every other aspect, to then not go that step further and give everyone a choice. Shame. There's no good reason unless it's somehow having a detrimental effect on narrative or mechanics, to not have the choice there.
@Darude84 Hmmmm. Would be good to start with the OG obviously but it's not essential. 2 and 3 are dynamite and you could just read a plot synopsis of the first game at this point as you'll be in that one more for story than gameplay given how old it's gotten.
@Darude84 I would definitely go for it, they're amazing games, but maybe check if it isn't easier/cheaper to play with the older HD Collection before splashing out on this.
@Kaloudz Mad Donkey? It definitely gets a harder, but I would say take your time, make sure to grind up a few levels by replaying areas you can easily blast through and just study bosses as you come to them. There's always a fairly easy way to beat them with the right tools and a little knowledge of their movesets
@Feffster Hmmm. Thanks for flagging this up. It's working for me but yeah I'm seeingnow that there is defo an issue on user side. Will get it sorted out pronto!
@Bmartin001 Yes, but in NG+ you can skip doing the main story missions and just do side stuff and explore, hence why I think folk have been recommending just blazing through the campaign critical stuff.
@Kaloudz there are new aspects to the game, such as the new powers, but we don't want to spoil anything else, it's genuinely worth just getting there for yourself if you can.
@GunValkyria Not like Souls at all tbh, beyond the big boss scraps that take some time to get around. AC is all about building and kitting out your mech to suit different scenarios then taking part in linear missions with straightforward objectives that are usually topped off by a tough battle. There's little to no exploration or anything else to do beyond mech combat. Hope this helps a bit.
@CallMeDuraSouka Well, we'll have our review as soon as we can, and we'll be digging into guides and other features. Luckily the game is on GP so easy enough to try without getting too badly burned if it's not great! (I'm sure it's gonna be great)
@Fenbops I think you'll enjoy it if you like The Surge series. I knew I'd be slightly high in my scoring compared to some outlets, but I just really love what Deck13 do, even though there's always a bit of clunkiness involved. Really nice to play an action adventure like this that you can blast through in a week these days too.

Just don't expect a review from us anytime soon as we haven't received review code, along with a bunch of other sites. 😕
