@The_New_Butler while I personally loved Crysis 2, I’d venture to say if you don’t like the original you likely won’t like 2. I played 2 before the original and thought it was a more entertaining game, but I know I’m in the minority on that one.
@xMightyMatt14x I’ve sunk so much time into that game on 360, One and on Switch. It’s my go to game if I have nothing to play or don’t know what I want to play, it never gets old.
I wasn’t going to buy anything, but Red Faction Guerrilla Remarstered caught my eye for $6. It’s a great game when you want a mindless shooter. I still want it in Switch, but I’ll take it for that price.
Very easy for me, The Ascent. I know I’m in the minority here, but flight sims just aren’t my thing so I couldn’t care less about it, though I’m happy for all those who love the series and are getting it on console.
This game is absolute perfection. I’ve loved every second of it so far. It’s tough, but not unfair, the puzzles are interesting, the story gives you just enough to make you want more, the music and art style are stunning, and the combat is fantastic. It’s a top contender for GotY for me, so far.
@PhhhCough the first one was so good. I had a game breaking glitch and had to return it and get it on PS3, but other than that it was a great game. Brutalizing people as Vader never got old.
I was going to wait on this, but so many good reviews sold me. While I wouldn’t have argued to it being on Game Pass, I’m always happy to support a smaller studio. Fingers crossed it comes to Switch one day, I’d rebuy it on that in a heartbeat.
@Halucigens Xbox easily had my favorite and the most comfortable controller. I’ll argue the DualSense is worlds apart from the DualShock though. I hated the DualShock, every version of it, but the DualSense is far more comfortable, but even adding in the fun bells and whistles.
Absolutely none of these. Sonic Spinball is definitely my favorite Sonic game, followed up by the sphere game you get when you put Sonic on Sonic and Knuckles.
Everything about this has made me more excited than ever for this game. I don’t mind that it seems like it’s a while away, as long as it, at least, loved up to the original.
@CrazyJF I’m with you. I was exceedingly disappointed with how much multiplayer focus there was yesterday, paired with a complete and utter lack of anything single player. I’m not a multiplayer person, but I’ve played through the first three Halos and Reach countless times (I wasn’t a big fan of 4 or 5), so I want to see more campaign, that’s where my interest lies.
@Craigthulu they don’t have to, but what good is giving away the controller to influencers? It doesn’t do anything for anyone. Admittedly, I didn’t know they donated $150,000, which is fantastic. I don’t disagree with you that people could just donate to any cause they want, but let’s be honest, people are more likely to buy something like this and get something in return than they are to just donate. Personally, I don’t care for the design, so I’d rather just donate to a cause (something I’ve done and will continue to do), but knowing there are so many people that’d want this, it’d be great to see MS do something like that. I just don’t see the point of giving it to influencers. Again, my previous comment was based off of not knowing they donated that money though.
@Stocksy brilliantly stated. Microsoft could have easily released this controller and given a portion of the proceeds to the movement. Instead, they gave it away FREE to people because they have people who watch their YouTube channels. That doesn’t show a true support for the cause, it just shows they’re willing to have people think they’re supporting the cause, a simple PR move. Release it to the people who actually care and want to help make a difference, not the people who will use it because it’s free. My nephew was born a girl, but identifies as a boy. My wife’s aunt is gay, she also has three gay uncles. These are the people I want to see Microsoft supporting by selling this controller and donating money to, not giving away the controller to “influencers.”
If this was offered in the States I’d trade in my PS4 for SS any day. I have a SX, but would love having the option to use it in another room when the living room tv is tied up.
@Kaori-chan @The_New_Butler I have to agree with the two of you. I love the Uncharted games, but outside of characters and graphics, I don’t think they do anything better. TR has better platforming, better combat, more variety in weapons and play style. The original Uncharted is a slog to get through, the other’s combat moments over stay their welcome, but they play smoother and are a more entertaining experience, but I don’t believe I ever felt that way with the TR games.
LAN parties, playing through countless times on Legendary with friends and just turning the campaign into a ridiculous, couch versus, murder fest are some of my favorite moments.
I have one side quest left to get one of the last two weapons I need in Nier Replicant, then I just have to finish the final area of playthrough two. Then onto my final playthrough.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 14-15)
I beat Death’s Door yesterday, tried out the Back 4 Blood beta and started The Ascent.
Re: Poll: How Would You Grade August's Xbox Indie Showcase?
I’m really intrigued by The Vale, but that game better have Hellblade level sound design if you are a blind character and it’s all audio.
Re: Talking Point: What's Your Favourite Video Game Sequel?
@xMightyMatt14x I’ve sunk so much time into that game on 360, One and on Switch. It’s my go to game if I have nothing to play or don’t know what I want to play, it never gets old.
Re: Talking Point: What's Your Favourite Video Game Sequel?
@Tasuki me too! I’ve put far too much time into that game.
Re: Talking Point: What's Your Favourite Video Game Sequel?
Nier Automata and Borderlands 2 are without question my top picks
Re: Pick One: Which Of These Is Your Favourite Halo Game?
1, 3, and Reach for me. I truly disliked 5, I think it was the weakest in the series.
Re: Hands On: The Ascent - A Gritty Cyberpunk Action-RPG Shooter That Will Keep You Coming Back
I can’t wait to play this after Death’s Door
Re: Xbox Is Giving Away Free Gift Cards For The Xbox Summer Sale 2021
I got one on my secondary profile, won’t complain if I get one on my main as well.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Buying In The Xbox Summer Sale?

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 24th)
A strong contender for Game of the Year, Death’s Door. I’m absolutely in love with this game.
Re: Deals: All Classic Xbox Games In The Xbox Summer Sale 2021
@lokozar I think the same thing every time I look, and yet, I keep looking.

Re: Deals: All Classic Xbox Games In The Xbox Summer Sale 2021
SWTFU2 isn’t even worth the cost of half off, that game was such an atrocious let down.

@Razputinman how is Miitopia? I’ve been considering grabbing it, it reminds me of Fantasy Life on 3DS which I adore.

No! American Girl dolls are terrifying.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (July 10th)

Re: Spirit Of The North Arrives On Xbox, Exclusively For Series X|S
I’ll be picking this one up. It’s absolutely stunning and looks like a fun relaxing game.
Re: Chrome OS Is Getting Xbox Series X Controller Support Over Bluetooth
@Halucigens I didn’t mind D4 too much, I HATED the D3 though, I can say without hesitation it’s my all time least favorite controller.
Re: Chrome OS Is Getting Xbox Series X Controller Support Over Bluetooth
@Halucigens Xbox easily had my favorite and the most comfortable controller. I’ll argue the DualSense is worlds apart from the DualShock though. I hated the DualShock, every version of it, but the DualSense is far more comfortable, but even adding in the fun bells and whistles.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (June 26th)
Any game time I get is dedicated to Scarlet Nexus, I’m really enjoying it so far.

On my way home from work now to go play it. I can’t wait, I really dug the demo.

Here I was thinking this sounded pretty interesting and that I might actually get this Battlefield, then I saw no single player. All interest= lost.
Re: 2K's Upcoming Announcements Have Reportedly Been Leaked
@chicken_chaser this could either be incredible or terrible. As long as it doesn’t take itself serious like Saints Row, I’m all in.

Re: This Darth Vader Xbox Controller Will Lure Your Wallet To The Dark Side
I’m a huge Star Wars fan, but $180 is not even close to worth it when that’s the cost of an Elite 2.
