There have been some rumblings Hellblade 2 could be appearing at The Game Awards, with rumours surfacing over recent weeks. It's been a bit up in the air, but a new report seems pretty confident we'll be seeing it again at the end of the year.
Amongst the details in the recent Avowed report over at Windows Central Gaming, a small mention was dedicated to Hellblade 2. The author, Jez Corden, spoke about how he previously mentioned in a podcast he'd "bet money" on the game appearing at The Game Awards, and now it seems the suspicious have been confirmed.
"I teased on my podcast recently that I'd bet money that we'd see another Xbox exclusive, Hellblade II, at The Game Awards this year — since I've indeed heard that it was in the plan to show more of the game by the end of the year. Perhaps we could get a two-for-one deal and see Avowed show up there too, but it may be too early just yet."
It was previously said by industry insider Jeff Grubb that Xbox was possibly saving Hellblade 2 for The Game Awards. With it being the home of its original reveal, it's not entirely out of the realms of possibility.
Previous years have seen the Xbox Series X console and the Perfect Dark reboot announced, so we imagine Xbox has some big plans to see out the year during the show.

Hope it's gameplay if it is there. My expectations are high for HB2 I'm hoping they make the combat and puzzles better as they were pretty basic in the first game for me.
I hope that they go away from the puzzles for the gameplay.
This is my #1 most anticipated game. I can’t wait for it, but they can take all the time they need to deliver a phenomenal follow up.
Not going to lie I didn't love the first as much as others clearly did...was decent ofcourse and I'm looking forward to see this
@StylesT I'm with you on this... hopefully with the bigger budget they make it more of an action-adventure in a similar style to God of War. I found the combat mechanics in the first one way too basic and dull.
This is my most anticipated Xbox game (with Avowed likely second), so of course I'd like to see it at TGA.
No matter what you thought of the first game, this is probably the game that has the best chance to go tow to tow with Sony's AAA exclusives. Also, regardless of how you feel about that, they do need at least some of these upcoming games to be on their level. I'd love to see it all happen as well.
