Following on from 343's warning yesterday about a possible "shift" in its Halo Infinite multiplayer preview schedule, it seems it's now given everything the all-clear.
343's community manager, John Junyszek, has confirmed the "final test" has gone well and the release process is now underway - with invites rolling out to Insiders. Once again, it may "take some time" for your own invite to arrive via email and Waypoint.
If you have got an invite, you should now be able to download the game and access the Insider Support site for install instructions and more information. While weapon drills and training modes are available "all day" matchmaking will be limited to the previously mentioned timed windows:
Keep in mind, there might be some technical issues on 343's end due to the sheer volume of people trying to access the preview - so don't get too worried if you are encountering any problems at the moment.
Have you been invited to participate in the latest Halo Infinite technical preview? Tell us down below.

Have been invited but don't like those time windows. So, Diablo 2 Resurrected it is this weekend.
I got my invite. As into Death Loop as I’ve been, I’ll pull myself away for a few matches. I’ve been very vocal about my concerns with Halo Infinite, while this won’t ease any of my campaign concerns, I’m looking forward to seeing how it plays and feels.
Been invited, but not had the message on Halowaypoint to say it's now live to download. No doubt it will be over night download so I can have a crak at it this weekend.
@sikthvash Just an FYI: you may have to check the Insider App on your Xbox/PC and ensure you enrolled in the Halo Infinite Multiplayer Flight. There will be a link for you to download once it's gone through.
I am probably not even going to jump into these sessions. I am getting a little burned out. I have played A LOT of Halo Infinite multiplayer over the course of these past few months.
Not exactly Uk friendly times.
Thanks, without the article I would've missed it
@Monkeyofthefunk
You can still play against bots outside those hours... at least that's something.
So... Just some training matches vs bots and had some initial observations.
1) The default difficulty "Marine" is incredibly easy... even for a barely competent player like me.
2) At times the movement felt slightly juddery... not sure if a frame rate issue (I'm using Series X).
3) Maps... "Bazaar" felt like a scaled down CoD map... Whether that is good or bad is personal taste. I thought it was quite nice to play. "Live Fire" and "Recharge" had less flow and felt a little more dull (to me).
4) Sometimes I couldn't get in to play and had a message saying my account is not authorized. Restarting the console seemed to fix this (for a while).
5) Overall the gameplay felt reasonably pleasing... and perhaps a bit more fluid than Halo 5
6) Graphically/visually... Well it doesn't really look cutting edge, but still looks a big step up from 5.
7) Bots behaving glitchy occasionally.
Overall... Hmmmm... It feels like a decent little arena shooter. But that's not what it's supposed to be, right? This is a mega budget flagship game.
Of course it's unfair to pass firm judgement until we see the full and finished game, so... fingers crossed!
I'll definitely be checking out the release version when it drops.
Also, feels very glitchy/buggy. On one hand, it's a test run and the odd glitch is to be expected. On the other hand, we are so close to release... the game should really be 99.9% finished now and in the hands of the marketing team.
Keeping fingers crossed the final drop will be as close to fully polished as is reasonable.
Wishing MS/Xbox well on this one... after delivering a year late, they can't really afford to disappoint with their flagship game.
Played a handful of bot matches. It looks very very playable and in shape I say.
1)Even though I am playing on One S! it is a relatively good-looking game with a clean presentation. Nothing jaw-dropping but way better than 5. The worries from the E3 demo are "probably" no more.
2)The music is exceptional per halo tradition and gun sounds are very good. Animations are good too.
3)Fighting against the bots in only challenging and fun on ODST or Spartan.
Overall it looks good. Waiting for PvP matches now.
P.S: Does anyone know if we are allowed to share screenshots/videos of footage and send them to friends? Last beta ofc many Youtubers did. but just asking to be sure.
I played the boy version for an hour, it played great. It’s the closes 343 has come to feeling like Halo for me yet. It makes me a little more optimistic about the campaign.
Played it on my one s it doesn't look great could do with a boost to the FPS & controls poorly
Is it too late to sign up for this?
@GamingFan4Lyf I managed to force it into updating by launching the app thankfully.
I played a little bit this last weekend. It was nice to try CTF and strongholds.
The Ghost feels weird though... turning in that thing felt like driving a tank. Thinking it must have been a mistake somewhere.
