Microsoft really don’t see what they are capable of studio wise.

They will release more big new AAA games in 2025 than Sony and Nintendo in house studios put together.

Sony Ghost 2
Nintendo probably 2 for switch 2
Xbox, Avowed, Doom, Fable and COD
also there is South of Midnight.

They have the potential if quality is very good and marketing and PR to promote the Xbox universe and keep those games off the other two consoles and have Xbox console exclusives.

And after time heads will start to turn and so will the fortune of Xbox consoles and game pass and the Xbox cloud universe.

Amazing year I still remember it well and played nearly all of them.
The big three at the end of the year were brilliant.
Xbox consoles and exclusives should live on.

I’m not totally sure what it is being honest.
All I know is if you are into selling consoles you don’t let this happen.
You carry extra stock for Christmas and use forecasting for continued supply.
It’s not like Microsoft haven’t got the money to forecast and carry a little extra stock.
It’s strange it has happened this year and not last year, especially as Microsoft seem to be moving away from consoles more and putting key games on other consoles.

Or maybe it’s just pure complacency on Microsoft’s behalf and stock will be replenished soon as they didn’t keep an eye on things and had their heads in the CLOUDS ☁️ 🤣🤣🤣

And that is the good point you make.
A missed opportunity yet again by them to build some momentum off the back of some great game releases like Indy and possibly some good consoles sales over Christmas in the UK.
It’s almost like one step forward, then two steps back for our Xbox consoles.

I want Microsoft never to give up Xbox consoles and also put some dam effort into promoting the consoles and GPU on consoles
And this stock thing is just another sort of lacklustre approach they are taking with Xbox consoles.
Yes i would have preferred a good console battle with Sony and preferred if they had kept all Xbox studio games off other consoles in the main, ok Minecraft and COD being the exception.
I mean Xbox seem to have a good line up now they getting into it and ended 2024 well with Indy. So they are getting in a good console battle position wise like the 360 days.
In understand going to other devices and cloud gaming, which seems way way to early to be main frame system, but they seem to just treat consoles as a, well I guess we have to if we must approach.

Correct it of course isn’t like the chip shortage but that makes it worse, there was good excuse then and the other two were effected as well.
It is pretty dam low in the UK.
You are talking the main big UK retailers including Amazon.
The fact you cannot walk into most of them and buy an Xbox series console whilst all others are in stock does not give consumer confidence. Then try online and get the same result.
There are some about but it gets less and less each day.

Dam I forgot these trillion dollar companies don’t employ top analysts etc for this and also can afford to carry some extra stock for these potential sale spikes. Perhaps they forget it was Christmas as it so easy to miss. 🤣

Joking aside it’s not smart overall but let’s hope you are correct.

Let’s hope it’s just complacency on Microsoft’s behalf.
But it goes to show their love really isn’t with Xbox consoles as a business.
Especially in the second most popular Xbox console region the UK.

I’m far more interested in why currently Xbox series s and x consoles do not seem to be getting restocked in the UK.
Each day another major retailer runs out of stock.
With some major stores having zero stock of all Xbox consoles for online orders and zero stock across their respective stores.
Amazing how Pure Xbox has not mentioned this.

Also most stuff on here is rumours, look at the switch 2, it’s all rumoured articles on Nintendo Life. And about Xbox games going to other consoles.
It’s probably just pure Microsoft complacency and not being bothered much about consoles.
But does seems crap behaviour from a trillion dollar company and really shows how much they don’t care about Xbox consoles.

Can’t believe Pure Xbox have not put an article on this as it is now nearly all retailers.

It’s just pure frustration and the lack of commitment for our Xbox consoles from Microsoft.
See I wanted a fight with Sony now Xbox have the studios and of course the money.
Yes keep the Xbox universe and all devices and GPU but don’t release on Sony consoles and take the fight to them.
Sony are not as strong like in the PS4 era belting game after AAA game out.
But Xbox have the studios to release about 4 AAA a year and also COD.
I want Xbox to be Xbox like in the 360 era fighting and exclusive, but have the Xbox universe just not on other consoles.
To me they have no drive for console or passion for the console giving games to other consoles and also letting stock run out.
It’s hard on an old original xboxer day one.

The digital all white series x was out of stock before the others and has not restocked since.
Let’s be honest this is like me saying I forget to get out of bed for work all last week.

They are making room for switch 2 shelf space 🤣

I will say no more they really not taking Xbox consoles that seriously now.

No one noticed in the UK how Xbox console stock is not being restocked both consoles.
Currys no stock online and in store.
Game no s stock at all only a few x.
Smyths toys no online stock at all, most stores no x or s stock.
Argos running low for delivery to certain areas.
Amazon from Amazon UK, no stock of any, advising maybe 1 to 3 months.
John Lewis none.
No trillion dollar company lets this happen by accident.

Yes I think the UK are the second biggest country to Xbox USA.
Being honest it’s probably just Microsoft not that bothered and we will get stock whenever.

If so it makes you realise they really don’t give two hoots about the console business really.

Considering also we just getting good rumours on the Halo collection going to Switch 2 and PS5 this year.

Perhaps it’s goodbye to the traditional Xbox home console very soon.

I have just noticed something.
Symths toys have stock on line and others to get a console x or s all models through Xbox all access which also gives you 2 years of GPU, paid over two years interest free.

Could this be a forced cheeky strategy by Microsoft to hope people go this way and getting more GPU subscriptions.

On Reddit in the USA they are starting to come up with the same issue in certain states and shops over there.

Game have one model type series x left as an option. No s.
Amazon from them series x and s 1 to 3 months.
Smyths Toys have less stock now and zero to order on line.
Curry’s totally nothing now at all.
Very weird for a company to act this way.

Goes to show they do sell ok in the UK.

They might has well give it up and hand it all to Sony and Nintendo at this rate.

The PlayStation 3 Move era was fantastic for these sort of games and we had a good few
And a light gun attachment from Namco for the Move controller, perfect.

Yes noticed CEX series x is £430 was £415 to buy just 2 weeks ago.
I’m just hoping it’s a supply mess up by Microsoft like a mistake and all will be back to normal very soon.
Might even ask my store insider if I see him at the weekend.

The UK sales for consoles for December should be posted very soon so we should find out.
I just don’t believe a company of Microsoft’s size could be that incompetent, unless it’s deliberate. Then again they don’t seem to care in the console front.
Had all the Xbox consoles and PlayStation since day one.
The end of the PS3 and of course the PS4 era was fantastic for me. But after the first two years of PS5 which was great for me the PS5 and more so games have totally dropped off for me. Like all the shows and big announcements and games have sort of left Sony, like it’s become a bit boring for me.

Xbox with more studios is actually a bit more exciting now and of course we have switch 2 soon.

Not sure, they did sell well over December better than normal even without a price reduction.
But I would not have thought a trillion dollar company at this stage of the manufacturing process should be letting stock run very low or out.
Especially as the UK is probably only second to the USA in Xbox consoles sales and GP.

They have either dropped the ball with supply of consoles, which would be not surprise me as the Xbox console is a Microsoft after thought now.
Or it’s a strategic pull away from consoles supply or a very slack approach to stock and supply control.

Either way it does Xbox consoles absolutely no favours. As for me, they are just dum arseholes that don’t care about our beloved xbox consoles in any meaningful way anymore.

Yes definitely this generation Xbox consoles would not catch Sony, but if they take the fight on exclusives not going to PlayStation but continue other devices, release a bit early next generation like the Xbox 360 era, get those studios pumping out quality AAA exclusives.
Dam well promote the brand, the consoles, the games and they could really challenge Sony.
Even promote XBOX as the home of COD, console and GP bundles, special editions etc.
There is so much they could do for the Xbox brand and the consoles side and GP.

I would love to take that through as Phil if I was there and allowed to, would be an amazing fight and time for Xbox.

Then overtime it’s the PlayStation console that feels left out and you have turned the tide with Xbox consoles, all other devices and GP.

Does seem strange behaviour from Microsoft and Xbox now they are finally in that position since the xbox360 era to lay in on the line and have Xbox with the most exclusives and the console to own.

Also remembering over 50% of GPU subscriptions are on Xbox consoles, so if they got behind Xbox exclusives and the console they would easily gain more GPU subscriptions.

Oh well, what the hell do me and you know 🤣

Yep I have GPU until March 2027.
Series x is definitely cool and quick resume is a great feature for me and the way I play Xbox games. I have about 4 games running at the same time.
Can’t believe Sony or maybe Switch 2 have not copied quick resume.
It is only a small hard drive Information dump and has nothing to do with using system memory, so easy to implement.
Sony are just lazy with these sort of features that actually are useful. Then again Sony would make no money from it so won’t spend the implementation time.

Totally get your point on that Indy reveal.

Xbox are in a far better position studio wise than in the PS4 era and also Sony are definitely not banging them out like in the PS4 era and are tame in comparison to those days.
