Re: Control's Anna Megill Will Be Lead Writer On The New Fable

I completely agree. Just trying to copy Sonyā€™s model is a foolā€™s errand. Like you said, Nintendo learned that long ago. I love that Xbox does things in their own way with things like Game Pass.

And not every game needs to be some huge, super expensive, AAA interactive movie. Microsoft has studios for that, but they also have enough studios to offer a variety of different types of genres.

Am I going to like them all? Probably not. But thatā€™s ok. Iā€™ll take variety any day, though.

Another Xbox fan whining for Microsoft to follow the Sony model? šŸ™„ šŸ˜“

So you want every first party game to be some single player, 3rd person action/adventure game? I donā€™t. If you do, go buy a PlayStation.

Personally, I like variety in my games. Fable doesnā€™t have to be some super mature game with 87 cutscenes & play like an interactive movie.

And who cares how many copies of God Of War Sony sold? Do you get any of the $? Nope. And that game only sold to just over 10% of the fanbase on PS4.

In my opinion, I liked Fableā€™s lighthearted moments & tone. But if Playground wants to do something different, then thatā€™s cool too. I guess weā€™ll see. They should make the game they want to make, not just ā€œappeal to the massesā€ in some attempt to copy Sony.

Variety is the spice of life, as they say. And we get all of Microsoftā€™s first party stuff on Game Pass, which makes it even better. šŸ‘šŸ»

Re: Microsoft Adds Warning About Cyberpunk 2077 To The Xbox Store

I agree. I just went over to Push Square to read some of the comments in the 384 articles about Cyberpunk & wow. šŸ˜³

I think the problem is the game runs like crap on all PlayStation consoles & thatā€™s not the case on Xbox (with the exception of the OG Xbox One).

In fact, it sounds like even the $300 XSS runs the game better than the $500 PS5. šŸ˜‚

So in a way, I guess I can see why some of the Sony fans may be ticked off. But it is pretty extreme over there. Article after article & all with tons of comments complaining over & over & over......

Re: CDPR Releases Hotfix 1.05 For Cyberpunk 2077, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

KelticDevil

The game on Xbox seems to be having less issues than the PlayStation version. The fanbase over there is losing their minds over this game.

I have also heard that the Series S runs the game great. The OG Xbox One version? Not so much.

Itā€™s just odd that it runs ok for some people & not for others. And the discrepancy between systems is odd too.

CD Projekt Red better be giving all DLC for the game for free or something. Either way, Iā€™ll wait to play it on XSX after the next-gen patch.

Re: It Looks Like Cyberpunk 2077 Will Remain On The Xbox Store For Now

Microsoft has a good refund policy & Sony doesnā€™t. That is probably why this is happening. Itā€™s a PR move for Sony, but more power to them, I guess?

Funny how they have left many broken games up on PSN in past years with no issue. As a former PS3 owner & an owner of the broken mess that was Skyrim (even years after the game was released), I question the motives here.

But Cyberpunk is all over the news right now, so Sony can get some PR boost while nobody notices their completely awful refund policy.

Microsoft should just let people request refunds, if they choose to, & honor those refunds......just like they have been doing.

Re: Xbox Rival PlayStation Pulls Cyberpunk 2077 From Its Digital Store

KelticDevil

Microsoft has a good refund system, so they may leave it up to the customer to decide if they want to send in a claim for a refund. Especially since it sounds like the game is having more problems on PlayStation.

Sonyā€™s refund system is garbage, so this could be why Sony or CD Projekt Red just pulled it completely off of PSN.

I had a PS3 & Skyrim and Sony didnā€™t pull that broken mess from the store. And that game had huge problems even late into the life of the game to a point where the DLC of the game was almost not even released at all.

Re: Ubisoft Is Now Selling XP Boosts In Assassin's Creed Valhalla

KelticDevil

For those that are defending this, I get your point. Itā€™s a single player game, so what does it matter?

But it does matter if Ubisoft makes it much harder to get XP in a future update & turns the game into a sloggy grind to get people to buy this ā€œXP boostā€. And they have already done that in a past AC game, so there is precedence for it.

Activi$ion did the same thing with Destiny until the fanbase found out & got angry with the XP throttling.

Re: Nintendo Doesn't Seem Too Interested In Bringing Xbox Game Pass To Switch

KelticDevil

I get why this question gets brought up to Bowser. If I had a Switch as my main console, I would hope for this too. I would own very few games if I owned a Switch.

Other than Nintendoā€™s first party games, the system is basically a console for indies & niche Japanese games that donā€™t sell in the west. 3rd party support is weak, as usual on a Nintendo console. And the 3rd party games it does get all look & run way worse than on Xbox & PlayStation.

And Iā€™m sure Nintendo is happy that their fanbase will buy NES games for the 67th time & pay for a complete garbage of an online service.

Their fanbase is extremely loyal (to their own detriment, in my opinion) & they probably donā€™t want Microsoftā€™s Game Pass mucking up their gold mine.
