Once again, this is your opinion & completely objective.

I found Uncharted completely dull by the 3rd game: It was the same thing over & over until you got to the next cutscene with average gameplay in between.

I played The Last Of Us & it felt like “Uncharted, but with some survival horror elements” & was extremely disappointing. It is one of the most overrated games of all time, in my opinion.

I have played the Ratchet & Clank games. They are good, but nothing like everyone makes then out to be.

And how many God Of War games are we up to now? I have lost count.

And Gran Turismo has been completely owned by either Forza franchise for many years now. It’s not even close.

Once again, my opinion, but I have no idea why you Sony fans worship your little plastic box for your “exclusives”. But to each their own.

Lol. Gears isn’t what it used to be? Really? Have you played the newer games? And if you have, post your Gamertag, so we can look you up & see if you‘ve actually played them & how much. 🙄

And Halo is still awesome & just fine. Halo 5’s campaign was lackluster, in my opinion, but the multiplayer remains one of the biggest in gaming.

But even with saying that, that is one game in a series of games that has always delivered a great campaign......in addition to awesome multiplayer. Does Sony ever do that? Nope.

It’s all the same 3rd person, single player, action adventure games with about 456 cutscenes & very little replay value.

Microsoft Studios have had to make games that appeal to wide variety of gamers. Sony’s studios just develop interactive movies & their fanbase makes excuses for it because.....reasons. 🙄

I agree, but I highly doubt it since it’s been in development for so long. And with the multiplayer going FTP, they’ll probably want as many gamers on there as possible.

Having the millions of Xbox One owners having access to the game is huge for the multiplayer.

I get your point, but only if Game Pass was available on PlayStation. And we both know that will never happen, for a variety of reasons.

My point is that Microsoft is all about Game Pass. And how do you get people to sign up? Having tons of content & content that is exclusive to that service. Keep in mind, PlayStation has PS Now, so there is no way this is ever going to merge.

Although, I do think it’s funny that Sony pays Microsoft $ to use their servers for PS Now. 😂 I guess it makes up for Sony making $ off of every Blu-Ray disc sold on Xbox.

And spending $7.5 billion only to let Sony go about their normal business & make a profit on them makes no sense to me.

And your point about software is correct. These companies don’t make $ on the hardware. They make $ on the software sold & on subscriptions.

And Microsoft wants people on Game Pass. Look at it like a TV subscription model. Netflix just has TONS of content on it (more than anyone) & also has their exclusive shows that people love. You don’t see them putting “Stranger Things” on Disney+. I don’t get why people don’t understand this. Oh well. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I know, right? Sony fans (including the ones who comment here) are delusional. It doesn’t help that almost all of the video game press are biased & love PlayStation, so this dumb question gets asked to every Xbox executive who gets interviewed.

I’ll say it again......

Why would Microsoft pay $7.5 billion to let Sony get 30% of the profit on every game sold? And people always say that “Xbox has no exclusives” (an idiotic comment anyways), but then think that Bethesda games are coming to PS5.

Microsoft will honor their existing deals & probably keep Fallout 76 & ESO on PS4/5. But they need exclusive content for Game Pass.

So it seems that every Sony fanboy has some fancy gaming PC these days (if you listen to them), so they can play these games on PC & in the Xbox ecosystem.

Let Sony waste their $ on 3rd party, timed deals. Microsoft buys developers & a publisher. Lol.

I could see a Forza Horizon 5 announcement too. But with Halo Infinite getting pushed back to the fall of 2021......not so sure anymore.

Honestly, I didn’t think it looked bad at all. I also wasn’t “wowed” by it either.

But Halo has never been a big graphics game for me. It’s all about the gameplay. And Infinite’s gameplay looked fantastic.

I’m just glad 343 is taking every time they need to get the game up to whatever standards they have set for it.

I may be switching to android for my next phone.

Spider-Man: MM is, basically, lengthy DLC. And Demon’s Souls is a remaster of a niche PS3 game. And it didn’t even crack the top 10 in sales after it launched on PS5.

To me, neither of those games are “big” games to me. But we all have our own opinions. 👍🏻

I hear ya. I am terrible at Halo competitive multiplayer. I used to be really good, now I just get wrecked to the point where my enjoyment just isn’t there.

I have loved every campaign though (except Halo 5) the co-op multiplayer modes are great fun.

It isn’t that hard to manage your downloads. I just downloaded all of Rare’s games on Xbox at once & it didn’t actually take that long bc I did it in the background & let stuff download overnight. Just plan ahead & get your $&@! together.

I completely agree. The Coalition has done an amazing job picking up this series after that douchebag Cliffy B & Epic left it.

With that being said, I am not sure Microsoft is gonna let them do a new IP. We still need Gears Of War (yes, I stubbornly stick to that name) 6. And I am not sure I want them to. With 23 studios, they have others to work on other (and new) IP.

But, who knows?

I am waiting for the XSX version, so I’ll be going to work. 😞

Don’t get me wrong......as others have said, I think it would be WAY better to launch these consoles in the summer. It would help with the availability factor in the holidays.

Not to mention, the actual state of the two consoles at launch. PS5 launched with a bunch of missing features that should be commonplace by now. And many people are having lots of issues with bugs on the console. Plus the launch lineup (in my opinion) is extremely overrated. Most of the games are on PS4 & Demon’s Souls was a PS3 game.

While Xbox launched with no new 1st party support & apparently developers didn’t have enough time with the console to take advantage of it’s power advantage up to this point. That will change, obviously, but they put all their eggs in the Halo basket & it got delayed.

And the 3rd party games have been buggy on both consoles (mostly Ubisoft, of course), so that doesn’t help.

But if they delayed the consoles, people would have complained. They chose to release the consoles during a holiday pandemic & both companies are dealing with shortages. And we as gamers complain.

I don’t think it comes down to complacency. I’m sure everyone is working hard & wants the consoles to be the best they can be. I think it comes down to choices that these companies make & the pressure it puts on their employees during a time like Covid.

I agree. I played through all of the Forza Horizon games in a row awhile back. And I’m not even the biggest racing game fan & every game is fantastic & kept getting better as the series went on. I never got bored or sick of them.

Forza Horizon 4 is the best racing game I have ever played. Before that it was FH3. And before that......well you get the idea. And I go back to the Atari 2600 days (yes, I am old).

Gotta hand it to Playground Games. I’m so happy Microsoft snatched them up for their 1st party line-up. 👍🏻

And if you paid $200 more for just a disc drive.....well.....lol. It’s like the people that bought a $400 PS5 w/o a disc drive. You don’t hear them complaining even though they got completely screwed because disc drives don’t cost $100 these days. But, here you are.

Just enjoy your Series X & quit complaining about a $300 console that you were never going to buy anyways.

The Series S is a great deal for the tech inside (especially the SSD) & if you don’t see that.....well 🤷🏼‍♂️.
