Re: Review: Star Wars: Squadrons - The Force Is Strong With This One

Jacko11

I played it back in July and wasnā€™t a fan at all. Interactions mid mission between characters was overly dramatic and poorly acted.

Manoeuvring the ships even with the correctly selected skills and set ups was far too slow and made it incredibly frustrating to tackle enemies.

Granted this was a beta esque playthrough of the campaign and multiplayer, but not stuff that can be quickly changed with feedback.

I hope the final product is better than what I played.

Re: Roundup: Here's What The Critics Are Saying About Star Wars: Squadrons

Jacko11

8.25 and 3.75? Whats with this scoring šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ round it up

I played the Closed Testing for Squadrons. Wasnā€™t a fan myself, felt the turning and maneuverability of the ships was very slow and there was no options to change sensitivity. Feedback on the forums suggested it wasnā€™t even a skill thing, it was by design which was strange. Especially considering the ease and speed in Battlefront flying.

Will still be buying for the VR functionality!

Re: Xbox Throws Shade At PS5 Following Spider-Man Upgrade Debacle

Jacko11

ā€œI donā€™t know, Iā€™m sorry for having an unpopular opinion, but Iā€™m not feeling the outrage. Spider-Man is 2 years old. It makes sense to give free upgrades for new games so that sales arenā€™t split and lost, but why are we entitled to free upgrades on older games. Itā€™s nice if companies like cdpr want to do it for free, but why should we expect Sony and Remedy to follow suit? MS can boast that theyā€™re doing it for free because quite frankly theyā€™ve got almost nothing from the last 3 or 4 years to remaster.ā€

Although I do think Sony should probably make the PS4 standalone version free, this point above has a fair point šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

Re: Bethesda's Games Will Be 'Better' Under Microsoft, Says Todd Howard

Jacko11

No excuse for their games to be bad anyway. It shouldnā€™t take a $7.5 billion takeover to improve the quality.

Nevertheless, iā€™m certain that under Microsoft and moving forward into this next generation, the quality of their titles is going be much better as Xbox canā€™t accept anything less than great at this point

Re: Xbox Game Pass Model Wouldn't Make Financial Sense For PS5, Says CEO Jim Ryan

Jacko11

@BrilliantBill but Netflix isnā€™t making a profit? Their expenditures match their income. Is that what Xbox want, to be skating the line?

Forza, Halo, Gears much be closing $1 billion production costs for next gen. Not to mention all others games on GP at launch. Is the GP price tag really covering all of those costs?

I donā€™t know, I failed accounting first time round at uni so iā€™m probably wrong. I just donā€™t see it personally

Re: Xbox Game Pass Model Wouldn't Make Financial Sense For PS5, Says CEO Jim Ryan

Jacko11

Honestly I donā€™t understand how GamePass is sustainable other than Xbox taking the loss.

PS5 games at Ā£70/Ā£60 or even less in stores, will make more than enough of the money back and people are going to buy games, enough of this ā€˜nobody will pay that muchā€™ crap.

GamePass is insane value for the consumer, no denying that, but I agree it doesnā€™t really seem sustainable and iā€™ve questioned that all along. But what Jim has said here makes complete sense to me.

Maybe time will tell.

Incoming Xbox fanboys running their mouths

Incoming PlayStation ā€œPush Square šŸ¦„ ā€œ arguing backā€

Sparked from one single, unnecessary or maybe necessary article to bait both in.

Here we go...*sits back knowing Iā€™ll be getting both consolesā€

Re: Sony Responds To Xbox With Official PS5 Price Reveal

Jacko11

There are a whole lot of clowns in the comments section.

Regardless, Sony has a solid offering for launch/2021 with exclusives.

Xbox has a solid GP launch lineup with Series S priced at Ā£250 which is insane value.

Maybe no need for PS5 at launch. No real need for Xbox Series X at launch either.

For me its all in what appeals to the individual gamer. Iā€™ll buy PS5 in 2021 alongside a Series S. Thats where the value sits personally, now that all the cards are on the table.

But you fan boys and clowns in these comments seriously need to spend your time doing something else rather than making yourselves loom like children. Hell, why not go play some games!

Re: Poll: How Would You Grade September's Ubisoft Forward Show?

Jacko11

I actually thought they had a good showing.

Immortals looks awesome.
Siege gets a 4K 120fps upgrade.
Scott Pilgrim returns.
Aiden from WD1 is back.
Riders Republic looks great & could be a big hit if it handles well.

Disappointing that Sam Fisher is added to another game which isnā€™t a Splinter Cell game but is that really a surprise at this point.

pretends to have never saw the PS3/360 gameplay for the Remake of the ā€œMasterpieceā€ Prince of Persia

Re: Don't Expect 'New' Next-Gen Xbox News At The Tokyo Game Show

Jacko11

@KelticDevil I was waiting for you to turn up to yet another article where you pass off genuine criticism as ā€˜fanboyā€™ or ā€˜ripping and complainingā€™.

If you had read any of the messages above or in articles past, you would be more aware of the situation, what is being said and possibly construct a better reply.

But here you are, again, with almost nothing to say but p*ss off to ā€œPlayStation guysā€. Top man!

By all means, hit that ignore button Iā€™d rather you never got involved in genuine discussions on here anyway, always one sided, never constructive.

Re: Don't Expect 'New' Next-Gen Xbox News At The Tokyo Game Show

Jacko11

@Cyrus29 exactly. Iā€™ll be the first to criticise PlayStation before I do any other brand whether it Xbox, Nintendo or PC. But when somebody canā€™t see clear faults in their own favourite brand and continuously prolongs and ignites this ā€˜console war fan boy s**t showā€™ its exactly as you said, childish.

Plus the audacity to then try and say others are one sided when youā€™re called out by someone who presents a reasonable, its just embarrassing.

I love coming to this site as there are some great articles and I enjoy getting involved in discussions about Xbox, but some honestly make it mentally painful to visit.

Re: Don't Expect 'New' Next-Gen Xbox News At The Tokyo Game Show

Jacko11

@Z3u5000 Ignore the PlayStation gang?

You say that as if I only own a PS4 and not both consoles. You say that as if I donā€™t own GP Ultimate. You say that as if I donā€™t intend to buy both consoles.

Some of us ā€œpea brainsā€ as you call it, actually are able to have a reasonable discussion and critique both sides for their shortcomings rather than your constant one sided agenda.

And personal attacks? If you canā€™t take criticism then whats the point in even having a dialogue. Simply put, you are not seeing the flaws in your ā€œXbox familyā€ and then throw shots at the opposing brand. Plus, donā€™t preach about ā€˜no need for personal attacksā€™ after your last message.

You cannot have a balanced argument if you are not willing to accept your own brands faults, end of.

Re: Don't Expect 'New' Next-Gen Xbox News At The Tokyo Game Show

Jacko11

@Z3u5000 in this moment just now youā€™ve overdone it and shown yourself to be ā€˜console war jockeyā€™ you so often criticise.

At no point did @grumblevolcano mention PlayStation. He simply stated the facts of Xboxā€™s situation. You would seriously have to be an idiot not to see it.

Also you keep hyping on about ā€œSmart Deliveryā€, PS has it too, they just donā€™t need to hype it as one of their main selling points, its just a given. So by mentioning that again yourself with GP, youā€™re only damaging your own clout and making everyone more aware that Xbox doesnā€™t really have much for Series X.

Wait....maybe youā€™re the ultimate troll and thats been your goal all along šŸ˜‚

Re: Don't Expect 'New' Next-Gen Xbox News At The Tokyo Game Show

Jacko11

Iā€™d have thought some next gen talk would have been an obvious move given how close to launch we are.

Given how invested gamers have become with Japanese games and Xbox trying to tap into that market, iā€™d have also thought theyā€˜d want to showcase some of their games running on Series X to build in that market, whilst still pandering to their western audience.

Strange move unless they have another show planned that they havenā€™t revealed yet. They really should have just delayed the console, I stand by that. Delay, drop with Halo and all late 2020/early 2021 games on GP, job done!

Re: Xbox Series X Has A Big Backwards Compatible Advantage Over PS5, Suggests Ubisoft

Jacko11

Although itā€™s not a huge issue for me as I own a PS2 & PS3 (***** brother sold PS1 and the games many years ago), PS5 really should support them.

It should never have been a case of consumers thinking will they wonā€™t they. It should have been a case of how many games are we getting per console fully supported.

Weā€™ll have to see now if Sony care to comment.

Again, itā€™s no deal breaker, Iā€™ll purchase a PS5 regardless of whether it has BC or not, but itā€™s inexcusable for BC not to be a thing this gen. Props to Xbox.

Re: Bringing Fall Guys To Xbox Isn't A Priority Right Now, Says Dev

Jacko11

The game is excellent and incredibly fun to play.

Iā€™m sure once the bugs are ironed out and servers are running smoothly all the time, they will look at bringing it to Switch and Xbox GP. Think of it as Beta testing on these PS4 and PC.

Those above will no doubt love the game when it comes to their platform, theyā€™re just slightly bitter atm.
