@swagbag7 I'm guessing there it's more the community than the site itself that is toxic. There is some hate logic being spread I'm guessing it's because Microsoft is starting to fight back, because Sony seems to run with an as I say not as I do bully mentality.

I hope SEGA makes a comeback. I do enjoy their games.

It's been a while. Can you do this with Halo Infinite yet? It was one of my biggest gripes about the game when it launched. Is Halo Infinite capable of LAN parties?

Instead of paying for development studios, Sony pays lobbyists to do their dirty work. There are plenty of companies that say their games are doing great on Game Pass because they get exposure they may not have gotten elsewhere.

@ChromeMud This place has ups and downs. After the awesome 2023 Xbox Showcase and Starfield Direct, there seems to have been a social media push from Sony fanboys bullying PureXbox comment section. It's strange because it seems EuroGamer has more Microsoft fans than they used to. Sometimes its just easier to place people on ignore. That's what I do now. Not wasting my time responding when they aren't trying to have a constructive conversation. I'll let them talk to themselves.

@Suda52 There's plenty of 3rd party developers out there. SquareEnix, Konami, Capcom, EA, Epic, Ubisoft, Valve, the list goes on and on. I fail to see how Microsoft is buying out the whole market. The idea that Microsoft has control over the market and Sony will fail because of the ABK acquisition just comes across as gaslighting.

@LoquaciousB Sony bought Bungie for 3.6 billion. Not every acquisition is 68.7 billion. Zenimax/Bethesda was only 7.5. Ninja Theory was purchased for 114 million.

@Friendly Amen, those people quickly joined my ignore list. There's been a social media push from Sony fans bullying comments since Xbox's awesome showcase. Every time I put one of these people on ignore I know Microsoft is doing something right.

@ZuneTattooGuy That sounds more like Sony with Playstation. Bullying the market with their monopoly. It's quite obvious with Sony's tactics being exposed. Not that we didn't know what was going on. Sony has paid lobbyists forcing the FTC to try and block the acquisition. Sony needs to be investigated for their practices.

They need to make a law that blocks the behavior of paying for exclusivity to 3rd party developers. I'm willing to bet this is part of the reason the Final Fantasy VII remake still has no part 2 of what 3 parts to release? Sony is killing the industry trying be the top and only place to play console games. In contrast Microsoft is trying to get new games on every device possible.

I've been saying this for some time now. It's why I boycott Sony.

Sony fans seem to want it both ways. Agree that this is true, but have to block Microsoft because they are too big of a threat and have to try and block Microsoft from doing what they can't.

Both consoles need at least a 2TB minimum when it launched. I hope they listen to this feedback.

Sony's corruption was getting exposed in the process. It makes sense they would change their tune because court can be very expensive. Can't block games going to other platforms that way.

They advertised this generation being the 4K 60FPS generation. They should have made a performance mode, waited a year to get it there, or make the game using promised features we aren't getting. All this game does is make me want to sell my series X to buy a GPU that can actually run games at 4K 60FPS. Considering they increased the cost of the console, I should be able to get good money for it on eBay.

They can't even get this generation right yet. After this generation of gaslighting of features like Velocity Architecture with Direct Storage. I'll be going back to PC gaming if this is true.

They did, Sony brags about it until they don't want Microsoft to acquire what's needed to be relevant. Then Microsoft is painted to be too big and would be a monopoly. Sony is corrupt as it gets. The reason they can't afford these big acquisitions themselves is they spend all their money trying to block Microsoft from becoming relevant in the console market.

The upgrade will be when the Velocity Architecture features are actually supported on the console with games that take advantage of it.

@Ep_13 Mine lapses in March 2024 using that method. I feel like I paid for 3 years when the Series X released and all I got was Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5. I'm likely leaving a game out, but if I can't remember it... I still play FH4 now and didn't get into Halo Infinite. I realize things will get better on Game Pass. Part of it is me and the games I like to play. Even with the discount, which is great, and I highly recommend doing that if people want Game Pass. I get the feeling that this loophole is going to disappear soon, probably before I'm able to re-up anyways. Thanks for the info.

I'm going to let my Game Pass lapse. I feel like I didn't get what I thought I was getting when I signed up. Paying $17 a month for that one exclusive a year that I'd likely play and can't keep. I'd rather just save that money to buy the exclusive and own it. I thought when I first got Game Pass it would be a great way to test games, there are other ways to preview games without spending all this money.

@Lastatopiny I'm not saying your wrong except for the fact that Microsoft never said they bought Bethesda to sink Starfield for Sony. I just don't get what you don't understand. Microsoft after acquiring Mojang (Minecraft) they didn't take it off platforms, they expanded it to many new platforms. This whole trope that Microsoft is doing these things to screw other platforms is baseless. You are even telling others in comments that you don't understand. That's the difference with opinions we all have one. You don't have to understand mine, just please respect that we all have one.

@Lastatopiny I know they do. I know what I see with this ABK buyout as well. Even though I don't play any Activision Blizzard or King games, I believe the effort Sony put into lobbying has paid off, for that I have a special hatred for Sony. That's my personal opinion. People trying to persuade me that Microsoft does the same, I just don't care because it's not the same. So for me, companies that accept money from Sony to do an exclusive, may as well not have made that game at all to me.

Any game where Sony paid money for exclusive is dead to me.

No matter of how good it is. I personally won't wear VR goggles on my head to play a game. I do know many people enjoy it, for this reason I hope it does well.

Star Wars: Outlaws. Even as a Star Wars fan I didn't have much hope for this game. It's now the game I'm most excited about. Somehow Ubisoft will probably screw it up though, just hoping this isn't the Watchdogs fiasco 2.0.

I'm guessing it will get patched down the road for 60FPS. I've looked and there is a bright side to buying 1st party games from Microsoft and it's the Play Anywhere feature. Buy the game now, play on your Series S|X, build a new PC in a year or two and play it there with whatever your PC allows.

It looks nice but not for that price.

Too little too late, I haven't played GTA5 in almost 10 years because they offered nothing for story mode. Probably won't even play GTA6. They have proven they cater to a different gamer. They lost me.

@AlwaysPlaying I'm speaking of the technology. Games being released are not using the features they boasted the capabilities of the console had. They are made using the same tools and features as last gen. There are new tools and features we have yet to discover 3 years after console launch. Features like direct storage are non existent, IF these features worked we would see a big jump in how games look and play, and actual generational leap in technology. Not just a new system with higher specs.

I don't have a favorable opinion of Ubisoft as a whole. Especially as of lately. The Star Wars: Outlaw game looks amazing and may be a day one for me. Everything else looked like a waste. Riders Republic isn't bad but they don't take care of it, many broken features that don't get fixed and incomplete sports that make you look elsewhere for a real extreme sport fix, for instance the BMX career doesn't even have flatland tricks mountain biking ignores pump suspension physics.

We still haven't utilized direct storage and other Velocity Architecture features of the Series S and X. This is the biggest disappointment for me. 3 years later and still missing.

This tells me that this is a last gen title. Missed opportunity to show off the Series S and X hardware. Sounds like the optimum way to play this game will be on PC.

@pip_muzz They came in right away and tried to steal the narrative. A few quick ignores cleaned things up for me.

People wanted gameplay content and this game is still a ways off. It looks interesting, I'm sure it will get some polish before we see it again.

Make sure to cancel before they charge you. For me it's not even worth the 7 days. I've done this before with Hulu cancelled right away and they still charged me for a month. So now I boycott Hulu.

@grumpypotato In Forza Horizon you get rewards for capturing photos. So while it may not be great for sharing images it does hold a purpose in game if you want a few extra rewards.
