Re: Out Today: Rare Replay (Xbox One)

Souldin

My parents always end up spending a lot of money around Christmas time, and so for this year, I went about composing my Christmas list out of cheaper gifts. This mostly meant adding only second hand video games to the list, but thanks to the wonderful pricing on Rare Replay, it's taken the crown spot as being top of my list.

I certainly do look forward to playing it. The ZX Spectrum games certainly intrigues me, this collection will allow me to test out Killer Instinct and see if I want to get into the latest version, and it includes Jet Force Gemini; my favourite Rare game and one of my favourite games on the N64.

Re: Gamescom 2015: Quantum Break Release Date Confirmed

Souldin

Quantum Break has gone from a Want to a Must Buy with this latest trailer. The game looks so fast and fluid, with so many cool time based powers at your disposals. Then there are the enemies, which I'm glad they showed off time ripping enemies who can dash about like the protagonist, it showed off some varied threats.

All in all, the game looks both gorgeous and fun, and I can only hope that I have enough money left after the Christmas period to actually buy Quantum Break on launch when it comes out in August.

Re: Review: F1 2015 (Xbox One)

Souldin

Wow... I decided to read this review simply because I saw it pop up and from what this review had managed to tell me is that this game is impressive...-ly buggy. When the paragraph of errors on the multiplayer started up, I expected it to only be a couple of sentences worth of problems. After all, with the lack of a career mode, clearly they must have put their efforts into the multiplayer instead? Apparently not the case.

That was a very entertaining review to read. I'm rather surprised that F1 2015 got rewarded a 4/10 in the end. Was it due to the game being so bad it's funny? It otherwise sounds a lot worse than just a below average, given the problems detailed within the review.

I believe Codemasters also make the Overlord series. Hopefully the poor performance is reflective of only this game, as my younger brother would be rather displeased if the next Overlord ended up in a state like this game.

Re: Out Today: BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend (Xbox One)

Souldin

I was interested at first, but then I noticed that this was only for the US release, not the UK/EU release. Admittedly, due to how many games I'm wanting to get this year, this BlazBlue entry will likely be one I won't be getting until next year. That said, I do look forward to getting around to getting it, when I'm finally able to.

@Utena-mobile Unfortunately, unless this particular entry had a very wide reaching prologue, I'm going to say yes. BlazBlue has quite a bit of story focus to it and a lot of important details for character's backgrounds. I do think the game itself will re-explain many of the details of the events of past games, but I'd say that for a full story understanding, it would be best to have played or watched the past games (an by this, I mean the previous two main entries, no need to buy each of the many versions).

Hopefully that does not deter you too much for giving this game a look-see. Whilst BlazBlue has received much praise for it's story, it is also an easy to pick up and solid fighting game that should provide you with a lot of fun. The characters are quite diverse, and the game flows well between serious tones and comedic ones.

Re: E3 2015: Fable Legends First Look

Souldin

Nice to see this get shown once again, and finally with a release date. I'm hoping though that I'll be able to buy a full on packaged copy of the game. While I do like the look of how Killer Instinct has gone about serving up it's game, I'd rather avoid downloading games when I can.

In any case, I look forward to finally getting to play this.

Re: E3 2015: Xbox One Backward Compatibility Confirmed

Souldin

In my opinion, this is the best thing Microsoft announced at their conference, which is kind of sad in a way what with the Wii U being a competitor that has had such a feature since the start. It also seems to be done in a strange way, I heard some mention of having to digitally download the game even if you have the retail copy, which if true really puts me off that feature. That said, still not as sad as PS4 still going about with no backwards compatibility.

While it sounds more messy than expected, this update is still a great thing to have, and I'm glad to see it announced.

Re: E3 2015: Rare Replay Will Bring 30 Classic Rare Games to Xbox One This August

Souldin

Oh gosh, I was looking through the list and thought I saw a lack of Jet Force Gemini, that certainly had me worried.

All in all, this was a great announcement, and at it's planned pricing (not sure if it will follow suit for the UK), amazing value for the cost. I'm looking forward to games I've enjoyed such as Jet Force Gemini and Kameo, as well as trying out some of these games I've never experienced like Grabbed By The Ghoulies, Sabre Wulf, and Underwurlde.

Certainly one of my preferred announcements from Microsoft's conference.

Re: Rumour: Former Wii U Exclusive ZombiU Currently in Development for Xbox One

Souldin

Well, this would fit in with those rumours regarding a Wii U exclusive being ported over to Xbox One and PS4, and in turn, a game available on PS4 and Xbox One being ported over to Wii U.

In any case, I have not played ZombiU, but my brothers have and they all seemed to enjoy it quite a bit (which is a good thing as I got it as a Birthday present for my oldest brother). That said, the unique and interesting things the game did were based around the Wii U gamepad, and I can't quite see how a port of Zombi U for both Xbox One and PS4 would work as a result. Still, it is only a rumour at this point.

Re: Konami Confirms Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist for Xbox One

Souldin

This does catch my interest to a degree. I used to love Yu-Gi-Oh quite a bit, and even after my interest in trying to purchase and play the actual card game passed, I still went about and played the odd Yu-Gi-Oh video game.

The video games I have played though had the advantage of being sealed off, no new cards or mechanics being continuously added in, which is probably why I now have a hard time keeping up with the ideas present in Yu-Gi-Oh nowadays. This game likely won't have that sealed off factor though, and it doesn't seem like it will be like Yu-Gi-Oh Tag Force 2 or Yu-Gi-Oh GX: Spirit Caller.

Perhaps I'm judging it too quickly. I'll keep an eye on this game, and perhaps the things shown later on will interest me.

Re: The Division DLC First on Xbox and Quantum Break Given Spring Release Date

Souldin

Ironically, it's my PS4 owning brother who wants The Division, rather than the Xbox One owning person that I am. I personally have no interest in the game outside of my initial plans to get it as either a Birthday or Christmas present for said brother... this year... the plan kind of a hit a roadblock with that delay and all.

I do have an interest in Quantum Break though, and I'm glad to hear of it's rough release date in Spring.

Q: Are you picking up either The Division or Quantum Break on launch day?

A: I probably won't pick up either of them on launch day. The former, if I ever do purchase it, will be for the PS4 as a present for my brother.

The latter, as in Quantum Break, has my interest, but I'm waiting to receive more info on it and base my decision to purchase it on whether other games I'm interested demand the usage of my wallet more and how much money I have to spare in said wallet.

Re: Review: Rogue Legacy (Xbox One)

Souldin

I first saw this game through Game Grumps, Steam Train to be specific, and it really caught my interest. Not being a PC gamer though, Rouge Legacy seemed like an interesting title that I'd end up missing out on, but the announcement of it coming to the Xbox One pleased me greatly.

I'm glad to see this game has been well received, and once I get time to add some funds to my Xbox One account, I shall see to purchasing this game.

Re: Xbox E3 2015 Plans Detailed, Xbox Daily Show Returning

Souldin

I personally found Microsoft's presentation to be the best of the the three console makers last year, and now that I own an Xbox One thanks in part to their E3 showing, I'm looking forward to watching this. For those in the UK, I believe it'll be around 5:30PM, so I'll have luckily been able to get some sleep in first.

I believe it's been said there will be a greater focus on first party games from Microsoft this year, which has me intrigued. Admittedly my biggest hope of them making a new Blinx the Cat game is incredibly unlikely nowadays, but I can still hope for the likes of a new Jet Force Gemini or Kameo game, and I generally like to see IP's resurrected overall, so seeing new games of Xbox IPs I'm aware of would be nice. It's not exactly the most likely of things, but as a fan of turn based RPG's, I'd love to see Microsoft announce one. They did manage to have the likes of Blue Dragon and Lost Oddysey on 360.

In terms of already announced stuff, I'm hoping to see more information, preferably more gameplay footage, of games such as Scalebound, Phantom Dust, and Quantum Break. A release date, as well as a physical releasing all-in-one disc version for Fable Legends would also be appreciated.

Re: First Stage: Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China (Xbox One)

Souldin

The lack of commentary makes the video feel a bit... lonely, though perhaps I'm too used to watching commentary filled let's plays. Anyway, thanks for posting this video, it has actually raised my interest in this game somewhat.

I don't care much for Assassin Creed games, I enjoyed Assassin Creed 2, but otherwise have had little experience with the series. This game however, this looks fun... and gorgeous, the artstyle looks incredibly fluid.

It's a shame I lack a Twitch account, I may have seen about trying to get a code if so. I may still have a looksee at the stream anyway.

Re: Spencer: E3 2015 Will Focus More on First Party Titles Than in the Past

Souldin

That's exciting to hear, as it increases the chances of a new Blinx-https://www.purexbox.com/news/2015/01/sorry_blinx_fans_but_microsoft_has_abandoned_the_trademark

... Oh... yeah, not happening.

So while the Microsoft IP I'd most like to see again has little to no chance of ever happening, I'm sure there must be others that could grab my interest. Phantom Dust grabbed my attention last year, and that's not even a Microsoft IP I've even played, it simply looks like one I might enjoy,

I personally considered Microsoft to have the best presentation last year (whilst many say Nintendo won last year's E3, I feel too much of Nintendo's was spread outside of it's presentation and was unable to see it all within one sitting), and I'm hoping to see them have a just as great presentation this year. Currently my eye is on Fable Legends, Scalebound, Phantom Dust, and Quantum Break, but it'll be interesting to see what new games will garner my interest.

Re: Build Your Farm in Wild Season for Xbox One

Souldin

Hmm, as of late I have been wanting a console based Harvest Moon experience for quite a while. It's ironic that each of the games have since been coming on the handhelds only.

So this does intrigue me, but for now, only intrigues me. I'll keep an eye on Wild Season just in case.

Re: Quantum Break Officially Delayed

Souldin

My wallet thanks you. The recent Nintendo Direct had pretty assured it's destruction, it needed to be alleviated somehow.

As you might notice, I have enough games I'm looking forward to in 2015 as it is, so a delay for Quantum Break affects me little. Hopefully this delay will ensure a high quality product is released, and if the game continues to garner my interest like the previous gameplay footage did, I look forward to playing it in 2016.

Re: Halo 5: Guardians Release Date Confirmed

Souldin

@eaglebob345 I was just about to mention that the announcement that Halo 5 was coming out in 2015 was a surprise, given the delays that Sony and Nintendo's big holiday titles have received. That said, I'm not sure if this news in turn is a good thing or a bad thing, given that Sony and Nintendo had to delay the titles, it does worry me that Microsoft may be rushing this title. If they manage to avoid rushing it though, then Microsoft certainly have the biggest draw for this holiday season.

Anyway, the trailer looks awesome, and the story seems to have taken an interesting turn. I don't really play Halo, though it is a series I've always had an intrigue for given it's story and setting, but my oldest brother and youngest brother are both fans of the series. I had plans to get my oldest brother the Master Chief Collection for his Birthday, and it looks like it'll be a Halo themed year for him as I think I'll see about getting him Halo 5 for Christmas now.

Re: Review: Bladestorm: Nightmare (Xbox One)

Souldin

I was actually considering getting this game, given that I've been enjoying quite a few titles from Temco Koei, and liked the European influence of this game. It also looked like a lot of fun.

It's a shame to hear then that this is a poor remaster of the previous version, and it is plagued with a lack of improvements and bugs. I guess I'll be skipping out on this game, which is at least good for my wallet. Thanks for the review, which was fair and considerate, even given the harsh verdict it ultimately deals Bladestorm: Nightmare.

Re: Rumour: Overlord 3 In Production

Souldin

Ooh, this sounds neat. It also happens to be pretty coincidental timing for me, as my brother and I recently finished uploading a playthrough of Overlord: Dark Legend for the Wii.

As for myself, I've only really played the Overlord game on the Wii, it was a fairly decent experience, but I've not tried out any other Overlord games. My brother is more of a fan of the series, and I imagine he'll be happy if this gets confirmed.

Re: Conker Returns Next Month in New Episodic Series for Project Spark

Souldin

The announcement of Conker's Big Reunion makes this much more pleasing to me. Admittedly, it is awesome that the assets to create your own Conker game are provided, and it'll be awesome to see what others come up with utilising it, but I'm certainly more interested in playing the episodic game.

I look forward to it then, hopefully it won't be too much.

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Forty Nine

Souldin

I shall be continuing my time with Ori and the Blind Forest... at least I hope to. I've been fairly ill most this week which really zapped into my time to spend with the game.

Aside from Ori and the Blind Forest, I'm recording with my brother for our YouTube channel tomorrow, and we plan to play Streets of Rage. Whether we play any more games after that, not sure, and as such I'm not sure what other game we'd play.

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Forty Eight

Souldin

My internet went down on Friday, which was a pretty big annoyance, but it's now back up and running. As for this weekend, I've been spending my time playing Ori and the Blind Forest mostly, the game is absolutely amazing.

I've taken the odd break from it though, either when I got stuck or frustrated with a certain section, and in my breaks have usually turned to playing a few rounds of Dead or Alive 5: Last Round.

Re: Out Today: Ori and the Blind Forest (Xbox One)

Souldin

Ever since I laid eyes on it, I also had high hopes. So high that when I made a video naming my top 6 most anticipated games of 2015, I listed it as number one. I can't wait to get my hands on it today.

Gosh, every trailer of this game is simply majestic. The music and visuals are full of emotion and beauty, yet unlike the first trailer, this also demonstrated a ton of action and intensity. Just a little longer and I'll be heading out to get this game.

Re: Review: Ori and the Blind Forest (Xbox One)

Souldin

Earlier this year, I made a video regarding my most highly anticipated games coming out this year, and at the very top was Ori and the Blind Forest. I'm glad to hear that it is a high quality product.

What initially captured my interest was indeed it's style and tone, comparisons to Child of Light being a very good thing to note as it is currently my favourite game of the current generation (also, glad to see Child of Light received a 10/10 on this site), but the gameplay naturally intrigued me as well. For the most part, it was less of what has made me excited about this game, however seeing gameplay footage, the way Ori moves and jumps through the enthralling locations, and the intriguing management of saving, did eventually raise my excitement of the game to the point where I'm just interested in everything about it.

I certainly don't mind the shorter length, I kind of expected that given it's a £16 download game, though the whole miss-an-item-miss-it-forever does sound most aggravating. Still, it's unlikely to deter me as I go to purchase Ori and the Blind Forest.

This was a wonderful review, and I feel it addressed a ton of aspects about the game. I'm glad you avoided spoiling any of the story sequences, if the trailer is any indication, I'll be wanting to go in as blind as I can.

Re: Rumour: Quantum Break Likely Delayed to 2016

Souldin

@Kage_88 Likewise.

This actually makes me a little happy. My wallet already looked like it was going to struggle getting all the games I want this year, having one of the games I'm interested in delayed a bit to the next year is fine by me.

Plenty of good games still abound for this year, and any delay should help assure the game comes out finished and refined.

Re: Sunset Overdrive Gets Its Final Piece of Content on April 1st

Souldin

I wonder... my GAME store still has the season pass available to purchase. If I purchase it now, would I be able to get both the water mission DLC and Dawn of the Rise of the Fallen Machines for just £15.

That would be a nice bargain. I didn't get the DLC when I got the game, due to having never played the game and already spending a lot on buying the Xbox One at the same time, but now that I plan to get both DLC packs, being able to get them both through the season pass would be much more efficient. I shall see about it then, and I look forward to playing this.

@DRL I do hope this game gets a sequel, it's set itself up well for one. I do wonder how they'd go about the protagonist though, whether they'd allow you to carry on your protagonist from the last game and link them like that or instead have you play as an all new customised protagonist.

Re: Fable Legends Will Be Free to Play on Xbox One and Windows 10

Souldin

@JaxonH I had completely missed that announcement that it requires Xbox Live Gold to play... darn it, that's even more annoying. I don't have gold yet, and my original intention for getting gold (as I didn't think I'd be in any rush to get it) was to just place it onto my Christmas list). My enthusiasm for this game has certainly depleted quite a bit.

@EternalDragonX Oh yeah... I forgot about that... which is odd considering I won the starter pack from Pure Xbox. Hopefully Fable Legends will have a starter pack like Project Spark then, and also come with a few free days of Xbox Gold.

Re: Fable Legends Will Be Free to Play on Xbox One and Windows 10

Souldin

The model of the game sounds pretty good, as it does seem very similar to how Killer Instinct has gone about, however this does overall worry me. Mostly in how it won't be a physical release game at launch... the digital Sunset Overdrive I got with my White Xbox One ate up a lot of data as it was, and I'd much rather get any game that I can in physical form.

With that said, if it does follow the Killer Instinct model, then it'll later on get a physical release, but I'm not keen on waiting for it as it likely won't be until some time next year (and as one of my keenly anticipated Xbox One titles, I'd like to talk about it when sharing my thoughts of games that were released in 2015).

Hopefully if it does get a physical release, such a thing will be confirmed early on, and released within this year.

Re: Phantom Dust Reboot Developer Shut Down By Microsoft

Souldin

Okay, this is worrying... and confusing. I hope all goes well for Phantom Dust, it looks awesome and the fact that Microsoft was the only one of the big 3 to revive one of their IPs at E3 last year was a matter I complimented them on.

So yeah, I hope we get clearer information on this matter soon and that Phantom Dust will have itself a developer soon. Thanks for this article, it's good to be informed regarding one of my anticipated games.

Re: What's Out This Week: February 17th (North America)

Souldin

Admittedly it's not out yet in the UK, and I will not technically be the one picking it up as it happens to be a pre-ordered Birthday present for me, but I shall be obtaining Dead or Alive 5: Last Round for the Xbox One.

Dead or Alive 4 was the first Xbox 360 game I played, and since then I've grown to really enjoy the DOA series. Dead or Alive 5: Last Round on the Xbox One became a must have, and I'll enjoy my time with it before I get pulled away by Ori and the Blind Forest (my most anticipated game of this year).

Re: Edge of Eternity is a Tribute to JRPG Classics, Potentially Heading to Xbox One

Souldin

I do happen to love my turn based RPGs, and this does look pretty nice already. It already looks to be well on it's way of getting funded, and it's still got 32 days to go. I certainly won't be surprised to see this get funded, as well as reach it's Xbox One target, and may perchance in purchasing it if so.

Well, I wish it luck, and may consider giving it a small bit of funding if I can.

Re: Halo: Nightfall to Receive DVD, Blu-ray, VoD Release As A Movie

Souldin

Whilst I have always had an interest in the lore of the Halo series, and very much enjoyed Halo: Legends, I'm not exactly someone whose familiar with the Halo series. I do however have two brothers who enjoy the Halo series, so this adds yet another potential Birthday/Christmas present to get either of them.

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Forty Five

Souldin

Well I'm currently doing a YouTube playthrough of Sonic Adventure, so that is what I've been playing this weekend. If I get time, which I believe I might, I do want to quickly set my Xbox One back up so I can see about that Valentines Day Sunset Overdrive thing.

I also need to see about downloading that Sunset Overdrive DLC... campaign? In any case, I've yet to do that and I should see about doing that.

Re: Dead or Alive 5: Last Round Trailer Fights On

Souldin

The differences between the versions of the Core Fighters version are strange, but a factor that does not affect me in the slightest as I'm certain to get the full version for the Xbox One. I'm glad that this a late February release, coming out just a few days before my Birthday helps me save on a few quid by placing it at the top of my Birthday list.

Anyway, I really enjoy the DOA series, and cannot wait to play this final version of Dead or Alive 5 on my Xbox One. I got the original DOA5 on the PS3, but having played DOA 4 on the Xbox 360, I must say I prefer the Xbox 360/One style of controllers. Awesome trailer, and thanks for news post showing it off.

Re: Ori and the Blind Forest Release Date Confirmed

Souldin

So it won't be releasing just before my Birthday, and the price is not exactly confirmed given this official information gives the price out in US dollars rather than UK pounds, but nevertheless, I'm excited to hear the news.

I'm sure I'll be getting at least a couple of games for my Birthday, so hopefully I can get a decent amount of time with them before I immerse myself in Ori and the Blind Forest. My most anticipated game of 2015 will, funnily enough, take priority over all other games I'll be getting. I look forward to March then.

Re: Phantom Dust Will Feature A 30 Hour Long Campaign

Souldin

I am quite interested in trying out this card-action JRPG, whom the reveal at E3 had me interested, and amused that Microsoft were the only one of the big 3 to revive an IP at E3 2014.

In any case, I'm interested, I've not seen enough to feel like I want to have it but I am eager to see more. I personally hope it doesn't follow the Killer Instinct style of purchasing, as I'm personally not a fan of downloading games unless I absolutely must. If they do, I'd be half tempted to wait until they release a full version on disk, I'm willing to take a £50 plunge if it results in getting the game on disk.

Re: Rumour: Is Ori and the Blind Forest Coming Out Next Month?

Souldin

If this is the release date for Ori and the Blind Forest then I'm going to be very happy. My most highly anticipated game of 2015, coming out just a couple of days before my Birthday, would simply be wonderful.

I bet to see about getting an Xbox Live point card in anticipation.

Re: Rogue Legacy Headed to Xbox One

Souldin

@crippyd That is something worth considering, and I did this Christmas get myself one in regards to my Wii U.

That said, I've never seen external hard drives for all that cheap of a price, and with having my Xbox One only since October, I'd rather avoid filling up all it's data space and requiring an external hard drive so soon.

Thanks for the advice.

Re: Rogue Legacy Headed to Xbox One

Souldin

I'm a little weary about downloading too many games on my Xbox One, as I was caught off guard by the Crystal White Xbox One's copy of Sunset Overdrive being a digital download, took a heck of amount of space on my Xbox One. I also already have the intention of getting Ori and the Blind Forest and Killer Instinct, and I'm unsure how much space their going to take up.

In any case, I've loved the look of this game ever since I saw it being played on Steam Train. I'm not fond of playing on PC's though and don't really use online with my PS3, so it's been an experience that I've yet to try but one I'm happy to hear I have the possibility of doing so soon. That is, depending on how much data space those prior digital games and Rogue Legacy will require.

Re: Rare Composer Suggests That Xbox One Banjo Kazooie Could Be On The Cards

Souldin

I believe I remember Phil Spencer, or at least someone at Microsoft, commenting on wanting more platformers on the Xbox One. I was hoping this would mean a Blinx revival at some point... no chance in that now.

Furthermore, when it comes to Rare IPs, I'd much rather see a new Jet Force Gemini, though a new Banjo Kazooie game will please a lot of people. I'm not a particular fan of their gameplay, but the Banjo Kazooie series do have a lot of charm, so if it's true a new one is releasing, I may consider a purchase.

Re: Sorry Blinx Fans But Microsoft Has Abandoned the Trademark

Souldin

'For those still clinging on to the prospect of a new Blinx game being made'

Such as myself then, as it's been on my E3 wishlist each year.

'As of December 26th, 2014 Microsoft has dropped the trademark for the franchise, essentially putting an end to any future sequels.'

Gosh darn it! This does indeed sadden me.

Now I never owned an original Xbox. I did however, get to play it a couple of times thanks to a friend, and in those times I felt in love with the original Blinx game. I was always hoping to see a new entry of it announced for the Xbox 360, or given my current ownership of an Xbox One, for the Xbox One. It saddens me that one of the few Xbox franchises I already had an invested interest in shall not be getting any new entries.

Re: Feature: Pure Xbox's Top 5 Most Wanted Games of 2015

Souldin

Funny enough, I had recently made a top 6 most looked forward to games of 2015 video for my YouTube channel. Of course, that video wasn't Xbox One only, but I did have two Xbox One games on the list.

Anyway, as for this articles listed games, none of them are entries that I'd have on my own top 5. That said, having just now seen the trailer for Quantum Break, I do love the look of that game. On this article I was going to vote for Halo 5 purely because it'd be the only one of these games I'd end up playing (my youngest and oldest brother both like Halo), but I ended up voting Quantum Break due to that trailer. I might well get that game, or if it comes out around Christmas time next year, add it high up on my list.

@EternalDragonX I hope to see the Xbox One receiving some JRPG's next year as well, particularly turn based ones. Whilst my overall opinion of Blue Dragon was that it was average and didn't keep my interest for too long, I did enjoy the fact that Xbox 360 had it, and I absolutely loved playing Eternal Sonata on my 360.

@DRL Excited? Ori and the Blind Forest happens to be my most looked forward to game of 2015, even when including non-Xbox One games onto my list of looked forward to games. I'd have loved to have seen it featured on this article, glad to at least see it get mentioned within the comments section though.

Re: BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend Confirmed for Xbox One

Souldin

Welp, I figured an improved version of this game would inevitably be released. I'm not making the same mistake as I've did with Dead or Alive 5 this time... particularly as BlazBlue was a series I played only on the Xbox 360 (preferred it's controller to the PS3) and BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma did not release on the Xbox 360.

In any case, I'm glad to hear that this extended version will be coming to the Xbox One, as it's a game I shall gladly pick up. My little brother really likes the series as well, depending on when it comes out, this might just serve as a Christmas present for him,

Re: New Naruto Confirmed for Xbox One

Souldin

Frankly, it feels way too soon to release the latest instalment of this series, Revolution only came out this year. That said, I look forward to getting this game and am glad to hear that it won't be PS4 exclusive. Ultimate Ninja 3 had an absolutely fantastic story mode, and the gameplay in Revolution was astounding.

I do hope it's not the last instalment though. I'd prefer the last instalment of this series to be a broader coverage of both Naruto and Naruto Shippuden (still waiting on the day wherein Dosu will be playable).

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Thirty Nine

Souldin

Well I've just downloaded Worms: Battlegrounds, so I should be playing it with my brother this weekend. Other than getting in some time to play that, I don't think I'll have much time to play any other games.

I may get in some 3DS game time, play either the Pokémon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire demo in the lead up to getting my version of Alpha Sapphire, or get back to playing Demon Box. I've been wanting to get back to playing Hyrule warriors and there are many indie games that have been released as of late that I've been meaning to download, but I likely won't get my Wii U set up again until next week.

So for me, this weekend is pretty much just Worms: Battlegrounds.

Re: Sunset Overdrive's The Mystery of Mooil Rig DLC Out December 23rd

Souldin

I haven't been playing Sunset Overdrive in a while, being busy last week, so when I finally got back to playing it today, hearing the news of the upcoming campaign was pleasing.

I like the look of it, and the new abilities to be used over the water will be really neat, trying to cross water or grab the collectables in water areas often results in losing momentum and falling into the water right now. The scenario seems pretty cool as well, hopefully these workers will work a little differently to the scabs, though I mistook them for scabs when first seeing the video.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to this expansion, now all I need to know is how much it costs... wish I could've gotten the season pass now.

Re: Blood Bowl 2 Announced For Xbox One

Interesting. I know my oldest brother, who is a big fan of Warhammer, has this previous entry of this game on DS. He does seem to enjoy it, and while I never found the time to get into the Warhammer series myself, it has always been something I liked from what I've heard and seen of it.

Hmm, provided that Blood Bowl 2 is a physical released game, and that it includes Lizardmen, I may see about purchasing this game.

Seeing this game at E3 2013, is probably what made me want to get an Xbox One of the most. Killer Instinct, Sunset Overdrive, and Fable: Legends, were certainly games I wanted, and I was intrigued by what I saw of Project Spark and Phantom Dust, but Ori and the Blind Forest was the game that made me yell out "Want!" most of all.

I eagerly await this game... whenever it comes out... and whatever it's price. I hope those latter two details get revealed soon, it'd make waiting for it and knowing how much money to put aside for it easier.

Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Thirty Six

My weekend gaming plans will all depend on whether I can be bothered to unhook the recording equipment from my Wii U. If I can be bothered to do that, then I'll likely play either Hyrule Warriors, Child of Light, or re-set up my Xbox One to play a bit of Sunset Overdrive. I probably won't do the latter, as I have already completed the main campaign, though if I'm able to play Chaos Squad without Xbox Gold, I could do that.

If not, then I may play the Pokémon Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby Demo some more... maybe get back into playing Demon Box. Playing one of these games will probably be my weekend plans all the way up until Christmas.
