A great review that covered many of the aspects of the game. A 7 out of 10 is a fair score, and I see the reasons for it.
Sadly, the review hasn't managed to get off the fence for this game, but this is for personal reasons. I'm a little iffy on your party being character created. Sure, I've enjoyed RPG's that have done this such as the original Final Fantasy, but it is certainly not a preference of mine. I also currently lack space on my Xbox One, and unsure as to when I'll get an external hard drive for it.
On that note, does anyone have any suggestions for an external hard drive for my Xbox One?
The mechanics of this game does appeal to me, with the turn based combat getting me particularly excited. Admittedly, I haven't spent much time with the Dungeon Crawler style of RPG, but turn based combat generally appeals to me.
Sunset Overdrive is an amazing game, and I recommend anyone who is even slightly interested in it to give it a try... if you have an Xbox One of course. Sunset Overdrive is one of the three games that convinced me to get an Xbox One, and when the crystal white bundle with Sunset Overdrive included popped up, I brought it.
Saints Row IV is also a lot of fun. It's not so much my type of game, but I had an enjoyable time with it, and my brother absolutely loves it.
@Red620Ti It has been a long while since I last played Sunset Overdrive, but I'd be happy to play multiplayer with you at some point. I'm not sure precisely what times I'd be available, but most days after 10am, I've usually got spare time.
This will even be a perfect opportunity to test out the Xbox One headphones I got to use for Fable Legends... which now I won't get to use them for. Curses, why did I have to remind myself of that!?
On Saturday, my brother and I did some recording for our YouTube channel, Grin Brothers. We needed some mini episodes to break up our longer playthroughs with, and so we played through each of the ZX Spectrum games on Rare Replay. To be honest, we didn't enjoy many of them, although Atic Attac was our clear favourite amongst them.
I've also been playing some Bravely Second: End Layer and plan to continue playing Bravely Second: End Layer. I also want to see about squeezing in some Pokkén Tournament game time. The sooner I get through the story mode, the sooner I'll feel I've levelled enough to have a more balanced experience online.
@SuperKMx You own a Neo-Geo? That's pretty cool; I've been watching quite a few videos on retro systems and video game history, although most of them have been focusing on the British and European gaming history.
If I do end up buying a retro video game system at some point, it'd probably be an Amiga CD32, however I am a fan of fighting games, so a Neo-Geo system naturally appeals to me (even if I've yet to play an SNK fighter before).
@DRL I was agreeing with you until you complimented the DualShock 4. I haven't used it for long periods of time, but the PS4's DualShock 4 controller is my least favourite PlayStation controller. The whole thing feels too light and small... which is weird to say as someone who is a fan of the Wii, but I always felt the Wii remote and nunchuck fit better in each hand.
It seems quite a few of you are playing The Division at the moment. I'm not interested in it, but my older brother is. If he doesn't get it for himself before his Birthday, I may end up getting him this game for, or someone else in the family will.
As for myself, well recently I've been playing Bravely Second: End Layer. Then I heard the news about Fable Legends and Lionhead Studios closing down, took a break from Bravely Second, and have been playing Fable 2 as a result. I was planning on playing more of Fable 2, but then I ran out of batteries for the controller... so it's back to Bravely Second: End Layer for now.
Well, the sub-heading is right... that is a turn-based RPG. I've got to stop immediately jumping to the thought of classical Final Fantasy/Breath of Fire/etcetera when I hear RPG; it just sets me up for disappointment.
I'm not sure if I'd define this more so as a Strategy RPG to be specific, falling more so into the realms of Codename S.T.E.A.M. than Fire Emblem though. In any case, it looks interesting, but SRPG's (or whatever sub category of RPG this does fall into) are not usually my sort of thing. I'm intrigued though, so for now, I'll list it as a maybe.
I for one, was looking forward to the game, both for the game itself and as a spin-off for the series itself. I found the game looked fun and I was liking the cast of characters; and it was set within the charming Fable universe. I was patient enough to wait until the next main instalment and interested in what this spin-off had to offer both in terms of gameplay and series story/lore.
@KelticDevil Well it is as you pointed out, in your opinion. In other peoples opinion, this badly effects part of the appeal of the Xbox systems, some people enjoyed and were drawn to the works of Lionhead Studios. I believe Fable to be one of the Xbox line of system's most well known IPs, so the sudden closure of the entire studio behind the series and the cancellation of their upcoming game, does naturally raise concern.
Wait... what!? I saw this on another site and assumed it to be a joke article, but this news is here as well. Is Microsoft pulling a joke here... someone hacked them or something?
Why would they suddenly close Lionhead Studios like this? No warning... just, their gone! Are we sure this is real because... it doesn't make any sense!
If it is true then... I have no words to accurately describe this, or at least none I can say on this site. Along with Ori and the Blind Forest and Sunset Overdrive; Fable Legends was one of the games that convinced me to get an Xbox One. Sure, it wasn't a traditional Fable game, and sure, I wasn't exactly a fan of Fable 3, but I really liked the look of Fable Legends. I liked the world, and fond memories of Fable 1 and 2 propelled me to give the game a chance. I watched some trailers and began to get invested; considering which heroes I'd try out first, even going and getting myself some proper headphones to use when I play the game.
For me, it'll probably be more time spent playing Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, even though I've finished the story mode and I'm not usually the type of person to play online. Aside from that, I may start up the Bravely Second demo/prologue I've received, in anticipation for when I receive the final game for my birthday.
I may also spend some time playing games for the purporse of the YouTube channel I do with my brother. I'm unsure if that means we will be playing more of Splatoon's campaign mode or if we'll be doing a whole bunch of games for shorter videos.
@Red620Ti I'm glad to hear your son is enjoying his Wii U; I hope my suggestions were helpful.
@TylerTreese I've a slight intrigue in Cobalt, but as far as I'm aware, it's a digital only game. I really need to get myself an external hard drive for my Xbox One soon.
Oh, and have fun with Asura's Wrath. I really enjoyed the game, though the whole ending/dlc situation does irk me a bit.
@Anthinator Ahh, I absolutely loved Child of Light, it still remains as my favourite game of this current generation so far. I hope you've been having as good of a time as I had with it.
@BAMozzy I did note that as I don't play on PC, a console exclusive is effectively a regular exclusive, as such Fable Legends and Ori and the Blind Forest are effectively Xbox One exclusives to me. Likewise, the first two exclusive games on PS4 that appeal to me are the PS Vita ported games of Tearaway and Gravity Rush; on the basis that I don't own or play on a PS Vita. I make note of this though, as there will be those who do happen to own both an Xbox One and play on a PC.
In a sense, I guess one could say that Microsoft's Windows 10 is effectively the equivalent to Sony and Nintendo having handhelds, to which some of their games and IPs are shared across multiple platforms but under the same umbrella.
As noted within my comment, I love the existence of exclusives, but it's not something I use as some sense of superiority. Exclusives help differentiate the respective systems further, and in turn give a greater difference to those who experience those systems (as well as a greater identity to that specific system). I personally like that aspect, and enjoy talking with those whose gaming experiences differ to mine, much like how you enjoy discussing with those who've played the same game as you. To each their own as it were (though naturally, this does mean I don't also enjoy discussing with people about games we have both played, just that I can find the opposite to be the case as well).
Now I'll just make myself clear before I start going into my point; I disagree with the anger that some Xbox fans are apparently displaying. As this site is the only one I've been on that has talked about Quantum Break being available on Windows 10, I can only take it's word that there have been Xbox fans raging about this news. I will also note that, despite growing up on an Amiga, I do not play games on PC (or Mac or Linux) so a console exclusive to me is still an exclusive.
Now then... I understand the feelings of these supposedly raging Xbox fans. Let me be clear though, I do not understand their actions, their accusations of lying, petitions, and raging; but I can understand the feelings behind it such as anger and disappointment.
As to why I understand this... well, I love exclusives! I prefer it when games are exclusive to a system, even when I don't get to play them as a result. I know that sounds odd, and my explanation for this might not be entirely logical, but it's how I feel. One of the reasons for my love of exclusives comes from how I saw things as a child. I recognised video game companies not by individual developers or the design of a controller, but games and their characters that I associated with them. Nintendo was Mario and Kirby, Sega was Sonic and Ristar, and I enjoyed there being this difference. I played on the different systems not because the systems were different, but because of the different games and their characters; and I would ponder on what I preferred based on their exclusives, or imagine which characters from the respective sides would win a fight or get along. An I guess unlike how others saw this conflict of fans, I saw it as being friendly competitions, differences that were wonderful to have. With video games having a decent impact on my childhood, they kind of defined some of my ideas and views, some even to this day. To me, exclusives helped define two separate sides of one video game community; with differences I appreciated in both.
A more recent case that cemented my love of exclusives was... the Wii. I absolutely love the Nintendo Wii, and it stands as my favourite video game console; primarily due to it's exclusives. An this wasn't just Nintendo exclusives, but also 3rd party exclusives such as the Red Steel games or Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. Sure, some of these are no longer exclusive (such as Muramasa: The Demon Blade and A Boy And His Blob) but I feel that being designed around a singular system at it's initial point helped ensure a better quality for the games than those designed as multi-platform games.
In terms of a purchasing decision, I can also understand the feelings of those currently upset (this does not justify their ranting/actions though). Why did I get an Xbox One? For it's exclusives; Sunset Overdrive, Ori and the Blind Forest, and Fable Legends. Why did I not want a PS4? It's lack of exclusive games I wanted, with the only game that I wanted for the system at the time, Little Big Planet 3, being available on PS3. Again, I don't play on PC, but for those who do I can see how Quantum Break being available on PC after getting an Xbox One can be seen as aggravating.
One last thing I will add, is that I don't see anything wrong with having pride in people's respective video game community (as in whether they primarily support one of the 3 key console creators, or even 3rd party game companies). I don't see it as any different to supporting a football team, and in some ways, even your example of a country. Again, video games had a rather defining impact on me, sparking my love of the fantasy genre, reading, writing, an interest in history that led to me respecting and being more invested in my country outside of my love for tea; a lot of the things I love and views that I've developed overtime probably lend their thanks to video games (though to be frank, everything you encounter in life will have an impact in your development). The problem comes when said pride leads them to lash out others, much like in the example you've provided, but I certainly wouldn't let the nasty moments stop me being proud in my hobbies and the communities that form around them and their creators.
To conclude, I understand the sentiment, but condone the action. The video game community has shown a nasty side to it once again, but it's nasty side evident in many a community surrounding many other things, and it'd be wrong to let that hinder my enjoyment and pride of the better aspects of said community. I also still plan on getting Quantum Break, and enjoying it on my Xbox One.
A) I'm... pretty excited. The game looks to be fun, and I'm interested in the things it's trying to do, but as this isn't the typical game I tend to look forward to, there is only so much it can excite me. That isn't a negative towards it though, it ensures it'll provide me a different experience than what I usually play, and it may go on to surprise to me to the extent that I absolutely love it to bits.
On the matter of the Alan Wake bonus, a game I've heard many good things about, has it been confirmed that it'll be available outside of the console bundle? As in, does it come free when you pre-order Quantum Break on it's own? It looked that way at the end of the trailer. Admittedly, I wouldn't be able to play it at this point anyway, I'm currently in need of an external hard drive for my Xbox One; pretty no much no space left in it at all now.
@Gamer83 It's a shame Sunset Overdrive did not do better. It and Ori and the Blind Forest were the games that convinced me to get an Xbox One over a PS4 (I already owned a Wii U since it's launch), and I've had a lovely time with both games. I'm still hoping for a Sunset Overdrive 2 announcement to pop up at E3 this year (or the next, I'm not picky).
For this weekend, I shall be playing Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 on my Xbox One. I've mostly just been trying out the characters, solidifying my teams, and going through the survival mode so far. Today, I feel like finally getting around to playing the story mode. I was considering trying my luck and playing online, but I think I'll save that for after I've completed the story mode.
If I play anything else, it will probably be the Bravely Second: End Layer prelude demo that I've recieved; apparently it unlocks some bonus stuff when you begin Bravely Second: End Layer. I look forward to trying out this demo then, and even more so to finally playing the game when it comes out on my birthday. As noted though, for now the focus is on Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4.
@DRL Firewatch is a game that has been catching my interest as well; though without a PS4 or a physical copy to be able to use play on my brother's PS4 when I visit him, it seems like a game I won't have the chance to try out any time soon. Admittedly, in the gameplay department, it doesn't seem like the type of game I'd usually enjoy so perhaps it's for the best.
I'll soon be picking up Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 for my Xbox One, which we'll pretty much make up the entirety of my weekend gaming. I may play a little bit of Fantasy Life here and there on my 3DS, but my primary duties for this weekend are to edit videos for my YouTube channel and play through NSUNS4.
@SuperKMx Your crossover comment at the end was absolutely brillaint; thanks for the good laugh.
@Anthinator I absolutely love Child of Light; it still remains my favourite video game of Generation 8 so far. I hope you continue to have a great time with it.
@Red620Ti I was going to suggest Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, but then I remembered how that game is notoriously hard. It might be worth considering if you were to play with your son throughout the game, but otherwise, it'd probably be a bit too tricky.
My main suggestions then would be Lego City Undercover, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush. If I were to include Mario games as well, then I'd certainly recommend Super Mario 3D World as well. Oh, and Nintendo Land might also be worth picking up as well, if it not already included with the Wii U.
That was a nice trailer; it showcased a lot of Xbox One's 2015 games and their upcoming line-up, and managed to fit all rather well around just over a minute. I'm a little disappointed to see Fable Legends now being shown within the video, but oh well.
In regards to Xbox One games I'm looking forward to this year, I'll be getting Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 tomorrow... or on Saturday. Following that I have a birthday coming up where I might be getting Arslan: Warriors of Legend. Then there is Quantum Break in April, and I'm still eager to try out Fable Legends.
Scalebound was my most desired Xbox One game of this year, but unfortunately that is a game I'll have to wait a while longer for. There are a few other games on the Xbox One that pique my interest, but with my current funds, I can't really entertain such interests. After all, those were only the games I'm looking forward to on the Xbox One; I've got a Wii U and 3DS as well with games to look forward to. It certainly does look to be a great year for my Xbox One though, as I have plenty of games to look forward to in this first half of the year.
Whilst it is almost half of what the PS4 has sold, the numbers are still pretty good. It's even more impressive when you consider the recovery that the Xbox One had to do after it's less than stellar reveal.
@Royalblues I would also love some more Japanese made exclusive games on the Xbox One; particularly some turn based JRPGs. It's not too likely given how poorly the Xbox One does in Japan, but Microsoft made quite the effort back in the 360 days, and I'd certainly like to see more of these types of games appear on the Xbox One.
@freaksloan Whilst I wouldn't go to the extent of calling the average consumer 'dumb sheep', I do question whether the PS4 has mostly managed to sell so well due to marketing and hype. Perhaps it's my own taste in games, but it seems the PS4 has been rather lacking in enticing exclusives for a while, though I shall admit that they are now starting to get games that appeal to even me. It's going to be a bit odd having to go all the way to my brother's house just to play the few PS4 games I plan on getting.
For this current gen, I'm certainly a Wii U/Xbox One gamer, and both have provided me with great experiences. I absolutely love the Wii U; it easily has my favourite controller of all time. Meanwhile the Xbox One has provided me with great exclusive experiences such as Sunset Overdrive and Ori and the Blind Forest, whilst also providing a comfortable controller for me to enjoy Dead or Alive 5: Last Round and BlazBlue Chrono Phantasma Extend.
@shonenjump86 Luckily for me, there are plenty of games that I'm looking forward to on Wii U. Pokkén Tournament, Star Fox Zero, Genei Ibun Roku #FE, and various eShop titles. I'm also helped out by a backlog of games that I really need to get around to playing; Bayonetta, Bayonetta 2, Zombi U, and Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush.
Unfortunately, I only have this coming month to really tackle them, so many games I've been looking forward to are set to come out from February to April across 3DS, Wii U, and Xbox One. I wonder where people find the time to play all the great games that come out each year.
I'll be honest, I think this trailer has done more to lower my interest in the game, rather than increase it.
Now the gameplay looks fun, and the art looks gorgeous; but the party creation system is a big turn off for me. Now I can understand creating your lead character, even if I'm not a big fan of it, but creating your entire party is just not something that I like the prospect of.
I like some of the things shown, but that rather key aspect of forming your party through created characters is a big negative to me.
My main game I'm playing through at the moment is Freedom Planet. I got it around it's Wii U EU release, but due to other games I wanted to play at the time, have only just gotten around to playing it. From what I can tell, it doesn't seem like the longest of games, although there is incentive to play through it as each of the different characters.
Alongside Freedom Planet, I may play a bit of Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX, and maybe even a bit of Blaz Blue: Chrono Phantasma Extend. They've been the games I've been playing earlier in the week.
@Anthinator I should made finishing more games my new years resolution for last year. I managed to tackle quite a bit of my backlog last year, and complete quite a few of the games I purchased that very year.
@Justin5267 Funny enough, playing through both Bayonetta games is on my to do list as well. I've had the Wii U double pack since it's launch in 2014, but have still yet to get around to playing it.
I already own the original Ori and the Blind Forest, so I'll pass on the definitive edition, though hopefully it's content will be made available for those who did purchase the original.
Anyway, of the Xbox One games listed here, I'm looking forward to Quantum Break and Fable Legends. It's a shame I can't say Scalebound as well for this year, given it's delay, but I've plenty of other games I'm interested in for this year such as Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 and Arslan: The Warriors Of Legend, along with games on other systems.
Cobalt has my interest but I'm not sure on it yet. The same goes for ReCore; which I think I'll want to see more of before deciding. A game that hasn't been listed which I'm interested in, but has been mentioned within the comments, is Stranger of Sword City. That said, I'm not 100% sure on a purchase at the moment, particularly given I'm running out of space on my Xbox One.
Halo Wars 2 looks to be a perfect Christmas present for either my younger brother or my oldest brother, given how much they enjoyed the first Halo Wars game. My younger brother would probably like Crackdown 3 as well, it seems like his type of game.
I wasn't a fan of the first Shantae game, but through a sale that was going on through the Wii U, I ended up purchasing Shantae and the Pirate's Curse. I'm glad I did, as Shantae and the Pirate's Curse is a pretty incredible game, with lovely settings, characters, and humour accompanies by solid action and platforming.
It's a bit short, but I'm pretty sure that is the purpose of this entry, and even with it's length there is still plenty of fun to be had with it. For anyone who hasn't played the game on the other systems it has already been released for, I'd give it my general recommendation.
I already own the Wii version, so I've no need to pick this version up. For anyone who doesn't own the Wii copy of this game, I do recommend you pick this up. It is a fantastic game filled with charm.
There were a lot of amazing games on the Wii, including quite a few 3rd party titles that never saw a release on the Xbox 360 or PS3, and A Boy and His Blob is amongst the very best.
On the last day of 2015, I posted a video where I went over my 6 most anticipated games of 2016... Scalebound was listed as my 2nd most anticipated title of 2016. I was concerned that it might get delayed, but I didn't expect any delay to be announced so soon.
This is rather disappointing, but it also a relief. There are plenty of other games I'm looking forward to this year, including a great many on Xbox One, and the amount of games I was interested in this year had me concerned about my wallet. Overall, this delay will give me time to buy and play the other games I'm interested in this year, as well as giving Scalebound time to be as polished and well crafted as it can be.
I shall eagerly look forward to it's release in 2017, and will occupy myself in the meantime with all the great games coming out this year.
Wow... all of you folks must be able to see into the future or have x-ray vision, as I have no idea what I'll be getting on Christmas day. I had a fairly large list of presents prepared for my family by June, so I expect at least a couple of games off that list, however there will definitely be some surprises as per usual. So as to what I'll be playing on Christmas day and beyond until 2016 hits, I do not know.
Before Christmas begins this coming Friday, I hope to complete Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water. If I have some further spare time, I'll see about playing some more Splatoon, Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX, and Art Academy Atelier. I may see about playing some Freedom Planet, which I've yet to start, but I feel Christmas will interrupt those plans with whatever new games I get.
I did read through all the writer's plans though, so I'll see about saying a couple of words. @SuperKMx I hope you have fun with Wonderful 101. I managed to get a bit of free time this year and went through some of my backlog; Wonderful 101 happened to be one of the games I completed within that spare time and I had a ton of fun with it. Funny enough, both Bayonetta 1 and 2 also remain within my backlog, I got them for Christmas last year, and have still yet to get around to playing either of them.
@Justin5267 I suck at SRPG games so I passed on Codename S.T.E.A.M. It does look like a fun game, and my best friend was interested in it, so I've purchased it for him for Christmas.
I was kind of hoping that you'd be doing a poll for game of the year like what was being done over at Nintendo Life, but it's nice to recieve an article like this all the same, and it'll be interesting to read your Xbox One focused game of the year choices. I guess I should comment on these before going into commenting on my own Xbox One focused game of the year choices;
First off, I'm not a fan of how the games have been listed 1-3 instead of 3-1. It's better to build up to your number 1 game of the year than to say it outright. I'm also a little conflicted on including compilation games on the list, as when some of the singular games of a compilation are so great as to be capable of competing with other games on their own, it seems a rather unfair advantage. So even if I had played Rare Replay (I haven't yet, but I have a feeling someone has got it for me for Christmas) I think I'd have to disqualify it on the unfair advantage of including Jet Force Gemini alone (one of my favourite N64 games).
As the game that led me to believe that Microsoft had the best E3 showing of 2014 (which was odd, given my love for Nintendo), I'm glad to see Ori and the Blind Forest appear frequently within people's top three picks. An no worries Ken Barnes, I was also unable to remain dry eyed during the opening sequence, even during the second time I watched it.
Witcher 3 seems a well deserving choice for game of the year, both here and at The Game Awards, although I'm unsure if it would suit my tastes. I'm not typically a fan of open world games or WRPG's, though this one does seem more story and character focused (though then comes the problem that this is a 3rd entry of a series).
I like how short and sweet Tyler Treese's game of the year descriptions were. Not that I don't enjoy the more depth filled paragraph's of everyone else's explanations on their choices of Xbox One game of the year, but it was nice break.
Whilst I believe the name is different, Josephine Johnson, wouldn't happen to be the same silver badged member of the site who wished me a good time with Rogue Legacy? If so, thanks for that. If not, sorry for the confusion, but I do love your picks for Xbox One game of the year. Rogue Legacy was a ton of fun, and "Who puts lasers in a forest?!" is a wonderful catchphrase to have.
Well then, I've been through the arcticle, so now is the time to list my own Xbox One focused Game Of The Year Choices. I'll be listing mine from 3rd to 1st though, it feels better to me that way;
3) Rogue Legacy - This game controls wonderfully. That's one of the first things that come to mind when I think about this game, the way it moves just feels ever so smooth. Constantly dying through randomly generated dungeons doesn't sound like my idea of fun, but this game makes it an incredibly enjoyable experience and it's fun going through all the different types of characters, slowly finding and unlocking more things.
2) Dead or Alive 5: Last Round - I did have the original DOA5 on my PS3, but didn't play it much as a better version was announced soon after. Last Round being announced as the last version was very welcome, and finally playing through this entry of the DOA series with a controller I feel much more comfortable was great. The story mode was hilarious and fun, and the gameplay is ever so enjoyable, with a ton of modes and difficulties to play through.
1) Ori and the Blind Forest - This was the game that made me want an Xbox One. It wasn't the only game, but this was the primary reason, so I'm very glad that I enjoyed it as much as I did. I expected the breath taking artistry, the heart felt music, the tear jerking moments; I didn't expect it to have such intense and refined combat and platforming though. The fact that the gameplay easily stands alongside it's beauty is a wondrous thing, and has led to this short but delightful game being my best experience on my Xbox One so far.
This game was one of the highlights of E3 2015 for me, and it still looks like an absolutely beautiful and charming game. That said, it's price seems a bit much for me in my current state, particularly for what is more of a puzzle styled platformer than the more action-intensive platformers I tend to prefer.
I certainly want it, but I'm unsure if I'll be able to buy it upon release. That said, it's only the US price listed so far, so I'll see how much it comes to for UK price listing.
Well, I'm kind of glad for the delay in a way. I'm not too fond of having a game release this late within the year, I'd much rather try it out as a 2016 game. This also gives me more time to search for an external data storage for my Xbox One, as I think I'll be needing it after or during next year.
On the other hand, it hasn't even been confirmed for a proper release next year, just an open beta (which I'll love to try out), which is kind of irritating.
I really enjoyed Fable 1 and 2, and Fable Legends was one of the exclusives that convinced me to get an Xbox One. So I kind of what it to, y'know, actually come out at some point. A month or two back I started watching some of Lionhead Studios Youtube videos on the game, and it's gotten me really hyped up for it. The waiting without an official release date is driving me kind of bonkers!
In terms of this holiday, there is little on the Xbox One that interests me. One of the games that did interest me for Xbox One this holiday is something I've gotten for one of my brothers (I can't say what game it is as he happens to be in this room), but that's a multi-platform game. An in terms of exclusives, the only Xbox One exclusive I've been looking forward to within the holiday times has been Fable Legends... which doesn't seem like it'll be coming out this year.
That's not to say I haven't been enjoying my Xbox One; Ori and the Blind Forest, Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, and Rogue Legacy have been great. They were all games that released earlier in the year though. That said, the primary question is...
Q) What games are you most looking forward to in 2016?
A) Funny enough, the Xbox One is the system with the most retail games I'm looking forward to next year. Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 and Quantum Break were both pushed back to 2016, but that hasn't dulled my interest in the slightest. Arslan: The Warriors of Legend caught my eye when I spotted it's trailers, and I'm particularly wanting the game now after reading a few chapters of it's manga.
Finally, there is Scalebound, which is currently my 2nd most anticipated game of 2016. It's currently the big holiday title I'm looking forward to seeking my teeth into... next holiday season.
Fable Legends is likely a 2016 game now, but I'm still excited for it, and my intrigue in Stranger of Sword City still remains. 2016 looks to be a very good year for my time with the Xbox One... which is a very good thing, perhaps both of my brothers will have started to lessen their time with Fallout IV by then.
Huh, I completely missed seeing this game announced at E3. That said, I like what I'm reading here, the game sounds rather interesting.
The setting seems like it will be enjoyable to explore as a vampire, and utilising surgeon tools for combat sounds pretty fun. I'm certainly intrigued, but I think I'd like to see the gameplay in action before I consider this a potential purchase.
With Nintendo supposedly having things to show off at the Game Awards, as well as another showcasing of Quantum Break, it looks like I'll be watching this event after all. 2AM is a bit of an annoying time for it to be at, but with my recent Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water night sessions, I think my body clock has gotten rather used to late nights.
It'll be cool to see more of Quantum Break. As for 'other Xbox One games', well, I'd love to get a confirmed release date for Fable Legends. I doubt we'll see more of Scalebound at this point in time, but as my most anticipated Xbox One game of 2016, I certainly wouldn't mind seeing more of it. Perhaps these other Xbox One games will be focused on new reveals though, in which, I look forward to whatever is set to be revealed.
Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae is a title I'm interested in, although I'm not fully convinced on getting it at this point in time. I think it will depend on my financial situation when it does come out. It having a release in the UK though, is a very nice thing for me, as it does give me that option on whether I want to get it or not.
I'm assuming its not going to have a physical release. In such a case, I may have to wait until next Christmas to get it, as I'll probably need an external hard drive for my Xbox One fairly soon.
My brothers aim to be playing Fallout 4 this weekend, so my playtime amounts to whenever they stop playing... although at times they've merely been alternating who is playing on my Xbox One.
Luckily the Wii U has off-TV play, and so I can look forward to playing some Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash, which I'll be picking up today. Then again, I also want to record the first match of the game with my brother for our YouTube channel, but he looks to be getting a job today, so the 'when' is hardly clear. The only game time I can ensure I'll be getting is playing some more Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water, which is quickly looking to be one of my favourite games on the Wii U.
My Xbox One is getting a lot of game time right now, but not because of me. I do wish to delve back into playing on the Xbox One at some point before the end of the year, but as to when I do that requires one question to finally be answered; does anyone know when Fable Legends is going to come out? The waiting wouldn't be so bad if I at least knew when the game would be coming out.
I'd be a miracle maker if I could convince my younger brother to record with me this weekend instead of playing Fallout 4, so we certainly won't be playing any Legend of Kay Anniversary or other games for such a purpose.
This does give me a bit of personal gaming time though, and luckily for me, my copies of both Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX and Rodea The Sky Soldier have arrived. Both are also games I'm able to play whilst either my younger or oldest brother are playing Fallout 4, due to one of them being a 3DS game and the other being a Wii U game with Off-TV play. I'll also try and slip in a bit of playtime with Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water tonight, although I'm afraid the TV is going to overheat with how much it's being used as of late.
On the recording side of things, it seems like my brother and I will be taking a break from playing Legend of Kay Anniversary, and instead playing Nihilumbra. We might be able to fit in the Nihilumbra series of videos before we take a Christmas break.
Edit: My brother decided that we should focus on finishing Legend of Kay Anniversary first, and that it won't matter if there is a mid-series break. I'm a little bothered by this, but I see the sense in regards to editing and storing of the data.
As for my personal play time... there is a Splatfest on this weekend, and I'll actually be trying to participate in it this time. That is, if I can, it's pouring down with rain at the moment. Hopefully it won't prove to be a problem. I also plan to get some Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water play time in, once I've finished participating in the Splatfest.
I'm looking forward to my video game time this weekend, as I doubt I'll get any of it next weekend. My younger brother has pretty much suggested he'll be playing Fallout 4 the entire time, in fact, I don't remember him saying he was ever going to stop.
@MegaKillScreen Thank you very much. I have been having a great time with it so far.
I think my brothers though, have been having a greater time with it. My younger brother first got to play it on his laptop, but due to it being a fairly weak laptop, it was consistently plagued by lag. I think he prefers playing it on the Xbox One... I've yet to be able to get a hold of the game room today as a result.
@JaxonH Well I disagree with you, but of course the case of whether Sunset Overdrive is or is not on as high or higher of a level as those games is naturally a matter of differing opinions between us. I rate Sunset Overdrive quite highly, and based on your list, would only put forth Ori and the Blind Forest as being above it.
Naturally, you know your friend better than I do, so your judgement on what games they'd like is far worthier than my own. I do notice that Sinalefa is using a Wonderful 101 avatar though, and whilst gameplay differs greatly, I do feel both games share a level of energy and craziness (though done in differing ways yet again) that may appeal to them. Just a suggestion though.
@A_BabyRed_Yoshi I believe that was what my brother was referring to, the fact that the final boss fight in Halo 4 was a quick time event. He was rather annoyed by the campaign mode throughout, but having that as the final part of it was the cherry on top for his dislike of Halo 4.
Thanks for answering my question, although I think I've got conflicting answers from this.
@DRL A more conventional boss fight will be a pleasing thing for my brother to here.
As for the lack of split-screen co-op, it's funny how that wouldn't be an issue if this had been done on one of the Xbox 360 Halo games. My younger brother got an Xbox 360 on Christmas... 2005 I think, and my oldest brother got an Xbox 360 for his own room in 2009 I think (I think he got his own system around the time of Halo Wars, whenever that was).
With the Xbox One though, I ended up being the only person purchasing that (Sunset Overdrive and a Crystal White Xbox One convinced me). I think they'd still gain some enjoyment out of single player, but it is a shame that they'd be unable to play the game co-op. I should probably wait until the game goes down in price if I consider getting it, though by that time, Halo Wars 2 will probably be out and I know they'll be wanting to play that.
Thanks for answering my question, although I think I've got conflicting answers from this.
@Gamer83 The moment I saw JasonH's comment and noticed a lack of Sunset Overdrive, I immediately knew I needed to make a comment. Lo and behold, you beat me to it... by 3 hours.
I'll be continuing my recorded playthrough of Legend of Kay Anniversary with my brother. It is seemingly taking longer than I thought it would.
Other than that, both Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water and Art Academy Atelier were delivered to me recently. I'll be playing Project Zero tonight, my Halloween night fun, whilst Art Academy Atelier will probably be put off for later, when I have more time. Other than that, I may get in a brief moment of playing Rogue Legacy again.
Oh yeah, I remember seeing this game on Kickstarter before. I was actually considering backing it, but ran into the unfortunate situation of a lack of money. It kind of makes it hard to back things in that situation.
I'm more likely to get this game on Wii U than Xbox One, if it still comes out for all it's intended platforms, but it's still nice of PureXbox to post this up so we can have another look at the game. It looks a ton of fun.
Also, this "Team 17 have picked up the publishing rights for this one" is so unsurprising that we might as well start mentioning indie/kickstarter based game which are not being published by Team 17.
I'm not sure what to make of this review. It might just be me, but it seemed like many a line just caused me to worry. You see, I'm not a fan of first person shooters, and whilst I do appreciate Halo's world and story, it's genre is ill suited for me. My oldest brother and younger brother do enjoy playing Halo, but they were rather disappointed in Halo 4. An it was certain lines that had me concerned.
"Unfortunately, there's no local split-screen, and we'd be lying if we said this omission didn't sting." This for instance, was the reason I decided not to get the game for my oldest brother for Christmas. Whilst both my brothers do play Halo online every so often, they primarily play together, particularly the co-op campaigns of the previous Halo entries. As a result, the campaign modes become the primary element of the game to them, so lines like;
"But there's a part of the game that struggles a bit despite these new additions: the campaign." Does give me reason to doubt getting this game for either of my brothers at some point.
This review has not exactly reassured me as to whether I should get either of them Halo 5, although it was a very well covered review, and the score of an 8 out of 10 manages to make the game come across impressively, without risking being... over-hyped per say. Strong gameplay but a mixed campaign does provide two key points that conflict my intention to get this as a gift; perhaps later next year it will be cheaper to get as a gift for either of my brothers.
On one last note, if you could so without spoiling things too much, do you mind if I ask what the final boss was like? When I asked my brothers what they disliked about Halo 4 the most, they said it was the final boss battle.
I've accumulated a bit of money recently, so tomorrow I'll be getting myself Rogue Legacy to play. I may squeeze in a bit of time with Dead or Alive 5: Last Round or Fossil Fighters Frontier, but primarily I'll be playing Rogue Legacy on my Xbox One.
Oh, my brother and I will also be continuing our recorded playthrough of Legend of Kay Anniversary. Last weekend's recording session was a little cramped due to my older brother moving houses and needing somewhere to store his stuff for a while. He's freed up some space now, so we might sit down and play through more than just a couple hours.
Well, I did want a review for this game so I could decide whether to get this game for my oldest brother or not; which is a little late now as I've already purchased. Never the less though, I did ask for this, so it only seemed fair that I read and comment now that it has come up.
My oldest brother enjoyed playing this game on the DS, and from what I've gathered in this review, any fan of the previous game should be able to enjoy this game just fine. The weak A.I. opponents would worry someone like myself, who doesn't play online much, but this shouldn't prove a problem for my oldest brother who I got the game for.
This was, as per usual from this site, a very informative and balanced review. Admittedly, due to the review being so balanced it tends to be hard to discern whether you truly liked or disliked the game during the reading; but the conclusion clears that up. A 6/10 is still a good score, so this should settle my worries on whether getting this over Halo 5 for my oldest brother was the right choice (to which I was dissuaded from due to Halo 5's apparent lack of a local co-op campaign).
Team 17 shall publish all the indie games! Hold on though, if the game developers get a publisher for their game, that mean it no longer counts as an indie game? The definition of indie game and indie developer has never been too clear.
In any case, whilst I have no interest in this game myself, I'm glad to hear that Team 17 are helping to make it a reality (though given fan praise for PT, I doubt Lilith Ltd's kickstarter would have failed), as I can imagine that many people are looking forward to this game. Best of luck to both the developers and the publishers.
I've never tried the original NES version, so it might entice me to purchase it if it were to pop up on the Xbox One.
I already have the Wii version, which is an absolutely amazing game by the way, so there would be no need for me to pick it up again on Xbox One. Of course, it would be great for those who didn't get it when it came out for Wii. Regardless, I would recommend anyone whose interested in A Boy and his Blob for the Wii to try it out.
As someone from the UK, this should effect me... but as I never buy a game I can get in a physical form through digital means, this has absolutely no effect on me. I much prefer having physical copies, and downloading large games takes up way too much space (particularly when there are digital only games that also catch my interest). Still, I can understand how this will be frustrating for those who do prefer to buy their games digitally.
It's pretty cool to see a One Piece game on the Xbox One. I actually remember talking to a Game store employee a while back, and he mentioned how it was a shame that the One Piece games never came to the Xbox systems, as he was primarily an Xbox gamer but also a fan of One Piece. I'm sure he'd be happy about this news.
As for myself, I'm intrigued, excited, and also disappointed. Starting with the latter, it disappoints me because it doesn't look to play like the One Piece Grand Battle or Grand Adventure fighting games. They were pretty fun and simple fighting games akin to Power Stone in terms of design. My intrigue and excitement though comes from how the game looks to play more akin to the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm games, at least based on what little I saw. I do enjoy playing the Storm games, but as to whether I'd want to get this game all depends on what I see later.
@SuperKMx Aw, I was hoping to see a review of this game from this site.
Oh well, I haven't seen many reviews of this game pop up, but from the look of it and knowing how much my oldest brother likes Warhammer, I think it'll safely do as a Christmas present. I was originally going with Halo 5, but I could always get that for him at a later date or suggest someone else buy if for him.
I do wish that the pre-order they had available for the Xbox One version of this game was for the Lizardmen though. Now it doesn't effect my oldest brother, his orcs and goblins are well accounted for, but my favourite race happens to be the Lizardmen. Well, it's not like I'm getting this game for myself anyway, but it would have been nice.
I was intrigued by this game after it's reveal, but after reading some of the manga and seeing this new trailer, I'm now certainly excited for this game.
The manga scans available for The Heroic Legend of Arslan have only gotten so far, so I'm left a little confused on some matters (for instance, I've yet to see Alfreed in it), but more of it should be available by the time this game releases. The trailer shows it off to be a typical warriors game, though it is certainly looking well polished and with some nice little additions to the formula. So yeah, another Xbox One game to look forward to next year.
'Chikami mentioned that while it's difficult to release Xbox One exclusives in Japan (presumably due to the low install base), releasing digitally worldwide via the Xbox Games Store is easy.'
This comment makes me worried that the game is only receiving a digital release over here. I much prefer getting my games physically, though it does seem like I certainly will have to get an external hard drive for my Xbox One sooner rather than later.
In any case, I had a quick look at Stranger of Sword City, and I'm on the fence with it. The art looks lovely, and it does look to be glorious turn based gameplay available on the Xbox One, but the characters and fighting all look rather static. I guess that is a but a smaller matter; I shall consider Stranger of Sword City a maybe for now.
As for the other game, Students of Round 2, I think I'll be passing on that one. I'm terrible at tactical RPGs, and while I've enjoyed the characters and stories of them, my lack of ability with the gameplay proves a hindrance.
Overall though, this news of more RPGs coming to the Xbox systems is always wonderful news to receive. I hope the Xbox One will be able to receive even more in future.
You know, I happened to have spotted an original Xbox available for purchase the other day. I have been considering purchasing it for a while, as while I never did own an Xbox before, I have tried it out before and had a lot of fun with games such as Blinx.
In fact, looking through the original Xbox library, there are quite a few games that catch my interest. Two Blinx games, two to three Dead or Alive fighting games, and many Xbox IPs that certainly haven't been utilised in a while.
So this here feature, backwards compatibility all the way back to the original Xbox, would be greatly appreciated. Even if I don't have any original Xbox games myself, I wouldn't mind tracking down the many that garner my interest and trying them out on my Xbox One.
This is another game that went from a Want to a Must Buy for me after Gamescom. After having a great time with Wonderful 101 on Wii U, I've been keeping an eye out for other Platinum Games developed games, so Scalebound naturally ended up on my radar.
Then again, even without the Platinum Games involvement, I'm pretty sure that a vibrant fantasy based action RPG where you fight alongside a dragon and have numbers pop out of the enemies you attack would have grabbed my interest. Other than the unfortunate slowdown, the game looks great; visually it's so bright and wonderful, and the gameplay looks to be the kind of thing I've been having an itch for lately.
I'm kind of curious about the 4-player co-op. I'm not going to bother getting my hopes up in the game having split-screen co-op (although it'd be much appreciated), but I do wonder how their going to go about the main character as a result. I find that online co-op feels kind of off with a defined protagonist, which is what we get with Drew, so I ponder on whether you'll be able to have a create-your-own-character feature, but only for the multiplayer and online, or whether they'll just have a large variety of customisation for Drew himself?
All in all, I'm hyped for Scalebound. Currently, it's the big game I'm looking forward to come Christmas time next year.

Re: Review: Stranger of Sword City (Xbox One)
Re: Megaton! Sunset Overdrive Comes to April's Games With Gold
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Ninety Six
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Ninety Four
Re: Mordheim: City of the Damned Opens the Gates on Xbox One
Re: Fable Legends Cancelled, Lionhead Studios to Close
@BAMozzy It unfortunately does appear to be true.
Re: Fable Legends Cancelled, Lionhead Studios to Close
Wait...
Now... why!?
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Ninety One
Re: Editor's Opinion: Give Me A Quantum Break
Re: Editor's Opinion: Give Me A Quantum Break
Re: Quantum Break Is Getting Its Very Own Xbox One Console Bundle
Q) How excited are you for Quantum Break?
A) I'm... pretty excited.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Ninety
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Eighty Nine
Re: Get Excited for Xbox One's 2016 Lineup With This New Trailer
Re: Xbox One Sales Confirmed at 19 Million, Thanks to EA
Re: First Trailer for JRPG Stranger of Sword City Gives Detailed Game Overview
I'll be honest, I think this trailer has done more to lower my interest in the game, rather than increase it.
Now the gameplay looks fun, and the art looks gorgeous; but the party creation system is a big turn off for me. Now I can understand creating your lead character, even if I'm not a big fan of it, but creating your entire party is just not something that I like the prospect of.
I like some of the things shown, but that rather key aspect of forming your party through created characters is a big negative to me.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Eighty Six
Re: Happy New Year: Here's The List of Xbox One and Windows 10 Exclusives Due in 2016
I already own the original Ori and the Blind Forest, so I'll pass on the definitive edition, though hopefully it's content will be made available for those who did purchase the original.
Re: Shantae and the Pirate's Curse Jumps to Xbox One in 2016
I wasn't a fan of the first Shantae game, but through a sale that was going on through the Wii U, I ended up purchasing Shantae and the Pirate's Curse.
Re: A Boy and His Blob Being Relaunched on Xbox One
I already own the Wii version, so I've no need to pick this version up. For anyone who doesn't own the Wii copy of this game, I do recommend you pick this up. It is a fantastic game filled with charm.
There were a lot of amazing games on the Wii, including quite a few 3rd party titles that never saw a release on the Xbox 360 or PS3, and A Boy and His Blob is amongst the very best.
Re: Scalebound Delayed Out of 2016, Now Bound for 2017
On the last day of 2015, I posted a video where I went over my 6 most anticipated games of 2016...
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Holiday Break Edition
Wow... all of you folks must be able to see into the future or have x-ray vision, as I have no idea what I'll be getting on Christmas day.
Re: Feature: Our Top 3 Xbox Games of 2015 - Staff Lists
I was kind of hoping that you'd be doing a poll for game of the year like what was being done over at Nintendo Life, but it's nice to recieve an article like this all the same, and it'll be interesting to read your Xbox One focused game of the year choices. I guess I should comment on these before going into commenting on my own Xbox One focused game of the year choices;
Well then, I've been through the arcticle, so now is the time to list my own Xbox One focused Game Of The Year Choices. I'll be listing mine from 3rd to 1st though, it feels better to me that way;
3) Rogue Legacy - This game controls wonderfully.
Re: Unravel Knits Together a February Release Date
This game was one of the highlights of E3 2015 for me, and it still looks like an absolutely beautiful and charming game. That said, it's price seems a bit much for me in my current state, particularly for what is more of a puzzle styled platformer than the more action-intensive platformers I tend to prefer.
I certainly want it, but I'm unsure if I'll be able to buy it upon release. That said, it's only the US price listed so far, so I'll see how much it comes to for UK price listing.
Re: Fable Legends Delayed, Open Beta Now Arriving in Spring 2016
Re: Microsoft: Xbox 2016 Line-Up "Big, If Not Bigger" Than 2015
In terms of this holiday, there is little on the Xbox One that interests me.
Re: Details Emerge About DONTNOD Entertainment's RPG Vampyr
Huh, I completely missed seeing this game announced at E3. That said, I like what I'm reading here, the game sounds rather interesting.
The setting seems like it will be enjoyable to explore as a vampire, and utilising surgeon tools for combat sounds pretty fun. I'm certainly intrigued, but I think I'd like to see the gameplay in action before I consider this a potential purchase.
Re: Watch Out For New Quantum Break Footage at The Game Awards 2015
Re: Don't Panic! Mitsurugi Kamui Hikae Is Definitely Coming to the West
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Eighty Two
My brothers aim to be playing Fallout 4 this weekend, so my playtime amounts to whenever they stop playing... although at times they've merely been alternating who is playing on my Xbox One.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Eighty One
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Eighty
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Seventy Eight
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Seventy Nine
Re: Review: Halo 5: Guardians (Xbox One)
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Seventy Nine
@Gamer83 The moment I saw JasonH's comment and noticed a lack of Sunset Overdrive, I immediately knew I needed to make a comment. Lo and behold, you beat me to it... by 3 hours.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Seventy Nine
Re: Strength of the Sword: ULTIMATE Gets New Four-Armed Dungeon King
Re: Review: Halo 5: Guardians (Xbox One)
I'm not sure what to make of this review. It might just be me, but it seemed like many a line just caused me to worry. You see, I'm not a fan of first person shooters, and whilst I do appreciate Halo's world and story, it's genre is ill suited for me. My oldest brother and younger brother do enjoy playing Halo, but they were rather disappointed in Halo 4. An it was certain lines that had me concerned.
"Unfortunately, there's no local split-screen, and we'd be lying if we said this omission didn't sting." This for instance, was the reason I decided not to get the game for my oldest brother for Christmas. Whilst both my brothers do play Halo online every so often, they primarily play together, particularly the co-op campaigns of the previous Halo entries. As a result, the campaign modes become the primary element of the game to them, so lines like;
"But there's a part of the game that struggles a bit despite these new additions: the campaign." Does give me reason to doubt getting this game for either of my brothers at some point.
Re: Talking Point: What Games Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue Seventy Eight
Re: Review: Blood Bowl 2 (Xbox One)
Re: Allison Road Kickstarter Cancelled, Game to be Published by Team 17
Team 17 shall publish all the indie games! Hold on though, if the game developers get a publisher for their game, that mean it no longer counts as an indie game? The definition of indie game and indie developer has never been too clear.
In any case, whilst I have no interest in this game myself, I'm glad to hear that Team 17 are helping to make it a reality (though given fan praise for PT, I doubt Lilith Ltd's kickstarter would have failed), as I can imagine that many people are looking forward to this game. Best of luck to both the developers and the publishers.
Re: German Ratings Board Rates A Boy and His Blob for Xbox One
I've never tried the original NES version, so it might entice me to purchase it if it were to pop up on the Xbox One.
I already have the Wii version, which is an absolutely amazing game by the way, so there would be no need for me to pick it up again on Xbox One. Of course, it would be great for those who didn't get it when it came out for Wii. Regardless, I would recommend anyone whose interested in A Boy and his Blob for the Wii to try it out.
Re: UK Xbox One Digital Game Prices Unexpectedly Rise
Indeed, this is kind of bizarre.
Re: ONE PIECE Finally Jumps to Xbox One With Burning Blood
Re: Out Today: Blood Bowl 2 (Xbox One)
Re: Koei Tecmo's Arslan: The Warriors of Legend Gets New Trailer
I was intrigued by this game after it's reveal, but after reading some of the manga and seeing this new trailer, I'm now certainly excited for this game.
The manga scans available for The Heroic Legend of Arslan have only gotten so far, so I'm left a little confused on some matters (for instance, I've yet to see Alfreed in it), but more of it should be available by the time this game releases. The trailer shows it off to be a typical warriors game, though it is certainly looking well polished and with some nice little additions to the formula. So yeah, another Xbox One game to look forward to next year.
Re: Experience Inc. Confirms Two New Japan-Developed Xbox One Exclusive RPGs - Both Headed for Worldwide Launch
Re: Backwards Compatibility Could Be Extended to Include Original Xbox Games
Re: Gamescom 2015: First Scalebound Footage Rears Its Head, Release Window Announced
