I booted this up the other day and it already had a warning at the beginning of the game.

Really great story, thanks for sharing. I battled an illness several years ago now that left me bedridden for two years of my life. At the time, I had no idea how long it was going to last or if I’d ever get better. But the game that came at the perfect time for me was Persona 4 Golden. It was my escape from the harsh reality I was living. That game will always hold a special place in my life. I’m glad you found your special game, too.

It seemed like there was scaling difficulty depending on how good/bad you were doing. For instance, the first boss creature killer me because there were two of them. And after respawning, there was only one. But I really have no idea. Anyway, I like the game a heck of a lot.

@AFCC @Cherip-the-Ripper There’s a crossover DLC with Dead Cells, that’s probably what you’re thinking of.

@lostfields I haven’t thought about that game in ages. Loved it so much, one of the better racers.

@Nerdfather1 This is literally me as well. I bought both games during the last sale and started Valhalla first. I was having a pretty good time and then decided to try Red Dead Redemption 2, which in hindsight was a mistake. I can’t go back to Valhalla right now because the world feels completely empty comparatively. In fact, I think I’m going to have a difficult time playing any other open world game for some time after this.

@VisitingComet1 The loading on Series S is insanely fast without this upgrade. It’s almost instantaneous.

I think Red Dead 2 just dropped on GamePass…? It wasn’t in there before right? Or is this just the online multiplayer thing. It looks like two separate things when I searched for it on GamePass. 🤷‍♂️

I will probably grab the Metal Gear games and I’m thinking of getting the Silent Hill collection, but I’m not sure what it means when it says Games on Demand. Does that mean it’s a streaming thing? I’m tempted by Castlevania Lords of Shadow because I remember really enjoying it many years ago, but I don’t know if I’ll actually replay it.

Yes, I’ve experienced the same issue. It doesn’t happen all the time or even that often, so it doesn’t ruin the experience overall for me. I’m fact, it has only happened twice since the last update. I’ve been sure to save the game or get myself to a point where if it does happen, I won’t be upset. I still think it’s a phenomenal feature despite the little hiccups.

Question for anyone that has the legendary edition. Is it worth getting? Or can I just play the original games via Gamepass?

I’m severely disappointed. I wanted this to be good because it looked like it had enormous potential. I still want to play it, but I won’t be getting it tomorrow.

I know this is a bit of an aside, but I always thought Klonoa was an underrated masterpiece. That game blew my mind back in the late 90’s.

@TJ81 I’m glad to know it holds up. I loved that game when it first released, I’ll probably give it a go again this weekend.

This section creeped me out big time. I feel like it’s something I won’t love going through again (replaying on a harder difficulty), but I felt completely helpless the whole time.

Also, you gain a little more insight into the house and dolls at the end of the game if you read the book/journal written by Miranda.

I really missed out on some great titles earlier in the year. Side note, but Breakdown was amazing. Not sure how it holds up, and I didn’t know it was backwards compatible, but I think I’ll have to go through it again.

@LtSarge I also loved it. Admittedly, it took a bit for it to fully click with me. But once it did, I couldn’t stop playing. Brilliant game, in my opinion at least.

I thought it was going to be Resident Evil, but I forgot BioMutant is coming out this month. I’m excited for both but since I only get to pick one, BioMutant it is.

Sort of related, but has anyone else had their Xbox Series S not be able to turn on? I had mine a little over a week and it wouldn’t turn on anymore. The light would come on for a second, it would make the startup sound, but then there was a clicking sound and nothing.
