It's the weekend! Time to sit back, play some games and chill out. This week is a bit quieter than the previous ones, but Rust Console Edition is out now, and there's still a ton of Xbox Game Pass titles that have been added, including SnowRunner and the wonderful The Wild at Heart. Not only that, but there's some great games to take part of for this week's Free Play Days, including the phenomenal Gears 5.
With that being said, here's what we’re jumping into over the weekend:

Well, this was the site's first week without Fraser, so I hope you've not grown too sick of me over the past few days. I'm going to chill out this weekend and check out The Wild at Heart. The art style looks absolutely gorgeous, and I love its Pikmin influences in the gameplay. Might be an indie hit on our hands.
I'm also replaying Resident Evil Village again. I need to level up all my guns so I can cause some devastating damage to the lycan hordes on a higher difficulty. But my new release this week is going to be Rust Console Edition. I've had my eye on it for years, but never really been much of a PC gamer, so I'm interested to see what the fuss is about. I'm not to best at survival games, so if anyone has any tips, feel free to drop them in the comments and let me know!
Have a safe and fun weekend, everyone!

Hello. This weekend I’ve got lots of review work and other bits and pieces to plough through so my leisurely gaming time is going to be scant. However, what little I do manage to muster will 100% be spent with the glorious SnowRunner, which is now available on Game Pass. I played a lot of this on PC when it initially released last year and have been secretly hoping it’d come to Microsoft’s subscription service so I can kick back in comfort on my couch and make some gnarly driving manoeuvres through its many natural disaster-ravaged levels.
If you’ve never played this one, or its excellent predecessor Mudrunner, I really can’t recommend it enough, it’s hugely engrossing stuff with some excellent damage and physics models to wrap your head around, a real challenge.
Have a good weekend, whatever you’re up to or playing, stay safe out there

Switch - Miitopia! My second playthrough after the 3DS version!
PS4 - GTA Online with friends!
PC - Team Fortress 2 with friends!
Have a good weekend everyone.
Will launch Psychonauts this weekend and start up The Wild At Heart too, because I like the style. Don't expect to be grabbed by the gameplay however.
Series S: Gears 4 campaign Coop with a friend. Gears 5 Season 7 and Yakuza 6.
Nintendo Switch: Persona 5 Strikers, Atelier Ryza 2 and Hyrule Warriors.
Ps4: GTA V Online, heists with friends.
Recently finished: Nier Replicant & Tomb Raider Definite
After finishing up Dishonored, I decided to start up Yakuza 6 on PS4. It's so good thus far! Really enjoying my time with it.
Don't know how much time I'll have for Game Pass this weekend, but if I do find some then I'll be playing the last episode of Walking Dead Season Two, Genesis Noir and Man of Medan. I've been really interested in trying out The Wild At Heart but I don't know if I'll find the time to start up another new game now.
@Razputinman im playing GTA V Online too this weekend. Have fun!
@LtSarge Im only on chapter 3 in Yakuza 6. Enjoying it so far!
Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (3DS) - Going back to finish Episode 2.
Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series (Windows 10) - On the season finale now.
Lines: The Game (Windows Phone) - Just starting on this.
@Flurbdurb how long have you been wait to use that Little Britain reference?
This weekend I'll be playing some Namco classics on the Evercade and a bit more Resident Evil Village, might give 7 another go too
Mass Effect and the Scarlet Nexus demo for me.
Such a treat to be playing Mass Effect again over 13 years later, and I'm looking forward to trying Scarlet Nexus. I have it pre-ordered already, but it never hurts to try it out beforehand.
I’m on vacation this weekend, so most of my time will be spent with my girlfriend and going out of town. If I manage to get some gaming time in, I’ll be continuing my play through of Mass Effect 1 (Legendary Edition) on my Series X and Hollow Knight on my Switch.
I picked up Ghost of a Tale from GOG (it's on Game Pass for PC, which is where I first played it, but the Xbox app on PC is just... broken, and it erased my save files - twice - and I gave up on both the game and the app). Fortunately, some wonderful soul out there uploaded their save files, with a new save every 20-30 minutes. So I downloaded that, found just about exactly where I was, and saved myself a good 4-5 hours of play time! The game itself is really fun, and the visuals are simply gorgeous. I highly recommend picking it up if an open world adventure with a focus on stealth and incredibly beautiful presentation sounds appealing to you. I'm looking forward to getting through more of this one (and not having my saves erased this time!).
I also started up the android port of AM2R which plays very well with an Xbone controller on my Galaxy 21. It's pretty amazing with Dex I can just connect my phone to the TV and basically turn it into desktop PC - can't do that on iPhone! I enjoyed Samus Returns on 3DS, but AM2R is equally good and interesting. I wholly recommend it to anyone interested in Metroid.
Got in some Forza Horizon 3 on the old X1, very fun game. I hope to get to the final showcase soon and got some barn finds. May try to get some more in and then once I finish I can play Halo 3's campaign on MCC.
Played some SM64 on Super Mario 3D All Stars, got a few power stars. Beat Plague of Shadows on Switch, what a great game. Play it wherever you can, the ending was amazing. Also started my third play through of Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Can't wait to see what the Golden Deers have to offer.
Have a great rest of your weekend, everyone!
I'm playing The Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild, Amazing game so far..
Finishing Village of Shadows run on Resident Evil Village and then time to hit Mercenaries for the SSS run-through.
Mass Effect 1 for me. Taking my time and enjoying it, clunky movement and all.
Grinding out the horde achievements on Zombie Army 4 for me
I WAS playing Mass Effect Legendary Edition, and I'm about 3/4 through game 1 but the dialogue Cut out bug is really breaking the immersion for me so I'm stopping before Virmire until they fix it. Heard the issues in ME2 are even worse.
Until then, New Pokemon Snap for me!
I never finished Dead Space back in 2008. Playing through the trilogy now on Series X thanks to Gamepass. Currently on chapter 11 of the first game. As a fan of Aliens, The Thing and Event Horizon I have to say this game is a masterpiece and holds up very well in 2021. The sound design and score in particular are just brilliant.
Hello community! Brand new here.
I’m working some OT this weekend...and then possibly buying a new car for my wife...but if I can get a bit of time to myself I’d like to dig into Resi 8 on Series S. I’m about an hour in and having a seriously good time with it. I’d also like to eventually get into Monster Hunter Rise...there aren’t enough hours in the day though! Not to mention I picked up all the season 1 pass dlc for Borderlands 3, and my play through of the Gears 5 campaign is stalled at the desert part. I’d really like to finish that one up too.
Halo 5 mp
Re 7 madhouse
Re 8
Scarlet nexus demo
Ori and the will of wisps
Forza 4
@TJ81 I’m glad to know it holds up. I loved that game when it first released, I’ll probably give it a go again this weekend.
Subnautica with a side of Subnautica. I don’t know how I missed it when it came out but I am obsessed at the moment.
Looking at a little bit of Knockout City and DQ Builders 2 for me this weekend. Also trying to finish up Halo Reach (the OG backwards compatible one; not the MCC version), and if I can find the time, I want to re-install GEARS 5 so I can play Hivebusters... man, I wish that was an "expandalone" (standalone expansion) instead of requiring the base game install. I already beat Gears 5, so that's way too much hard drive space I need to carve out just to play the new content. Especially when BioMutant and Necromunda Hired Gun are launching so soon? I need space cleared out for NEW games, jeez.
Good gaming everyone!
I couldn’t resist starting up Shadow of the Tomb Raider and I’m glad I did. Just fantastic!
Resident Evil 4 complete finally. Absolute brilliant game, despite the initial shock of the control scheme which took some time to adjust to, I do believe it is an absolute master class in design, pacing and set piece variety.
The story is some nonsense though haha
Had a break for a couple of days before deciding what I'm jumping into next, strangely I've gone with Dante's Inferno. I'm not sure if it will stick but if not , that's ok !
Almost done Season 1 of the walking dead. Not sure if I'll be jumping into season 2 right away or if I'll try playing something else. Might boot around in FH4 for a bit as well. Finished off the last two achievements in Donut County last night as well.
