Re: Josef Fares Blasts Xbox Series Naming Convention As A 'Total F**king Mess'

Jacko11

Whole lot of people here straight calling the dude a jackass and asking who is he.

You know exactly who he is if you are anyway in the gaming circle and @LtSarge perfectly summed up why this Xbox console naming is an issue for some with evidence above, which you mostly ignored.

Keep doing you @LtSarge, some people just don’t work with facts

Re: Reaction: Lucasfilm Games Is Setting Up A Bright Future, But Is It Being Revealed Too Soon?

Jacko11

Cyberpunk is a rare case of hype far exceeding quality, at least at launch.

I think its good for Lucasfilm Games to be taking these steps. There was a lot speculation around what was going to happen with the EA deal come 2023 and this clears it up. Plus its generates a little excitement as to the possibilities.

What they’ve offered is merely a tease. Indy exclusive for Xbox, and an open world Star Wars game from Ubi and thats all.

EA have confirmed they are still working on Star Wars games so thats Fallen Order 2 and hopefully Battlefront 3 confirmed.

I say good on Lucasfilm Games for making themselves known and generating some excitement for the future.

Re: Head Of Xbox 'Excited' About New Indiana Jones Game And Can't Wait To 'Learn More'

Jacko11

Some saltiness in this comments section 😂 calm yourself

Would be good for Xbox if this is an exclusive to rival Uncharted. Uncharted is inspired by indy anyway for modern day.

As for this whole Bethesda/Xbox deal, they won’t confirm exclusivity because the deal isn’t official yet. All the t’s and c’s are still being ironed out.

It makes sense for these games in future to go exclusive to attract more of an audience to the brand, whether console, GP service or both.

But its also a case of they don’t necessarily have to. You can still sell these games on Sony platforms and make even more bank whilst still owning them. ‘You can pay £40-60 on PS5, or you can pay for GP and get 100’s of other games too’. Makes no sense to turn down money, no matter how rich Microsoft are.

But ponies be ponies I guess 🤷🏻‍♂️

Re: CD Projekt Has Already Sold 13 Million Copies Of Cyberpunk 2077

Jacko11

@gollumb82 I understand your thoughts on the matter though this stems from one party being unable to defend their argument and present valid thought towards it.

If I say “EA is the worst company” but cannot back up that statement, then its potentially an unnecessary and uniformed opinion. The case is the same here, a point was presented but it couldn’t be backed up. Then when called out on it, gets all upset about it. Sums up debate in 2020

Idk, just my take.

But a Merry Christmas to you and yours 🎅🏻

Re: CD Projekt Has Already Sold 13 Million Copies Of Cyberpunk 2077

Jacko11

@JayJ not once in any dialogue between me and you did it once say you had played the game, so thats new information you failed to provide before you decided to ignore the facts I presented.

“Really aggressive”, please tell me which part I was “really aggressive” in. Also you want to talk about “intellectual dishonesty”? Take that up with CDPR who have done exactly that, of which you failed to engage in a dialogue with me about funnily enough.

And as for your words towards @LtSarge, you have also failed to acknowledge his clear direction for you to address the genuine criticism for the game which both he and I have made, and are instead retreating into a hole having stated an opinion with little to no backing.

I think you need to learn how to adapt your people skills into having an informed dialogue on a topic.

Re: CD Projekt Has Already Sold 13 Million Copies Of Cyberpunk 2077

Jacko11

@JayJ it seems you have found your mountain and planted your flag.

You clearly can’t take criticism, are insulted by the faintest of jabs and are incapable of reading any online articles which 100% support what I said in my first comment.

Bundle up this winter my man, delicate ones like you need the extra layer.

Re: CD Projekt Has Already Sold 13 Million Copies Of Cyberpunk 2077

Jacko11

@JayJ do you honestly think that was a toxic response 😂

You wouldn’t have survived an MW2 lobby if you think that was toxic. Infact i’m not sure how you survive day to day life 😂

Considering you’ve been here since the end of 2017, you must have been living under a rock. Because thats U rated compared to some stuff said on this site.

Re: CD Projekt Has Already Sold 13 Million Copies Of Cyberpunk 2077

Jacko11

@JayJ @Senua you guys are kidding right?

The game which nobody spoke ill about and was the most hyped game of all time before release, then releases in a broken state.

Is slated by reviewers and gamers alike sat with 55 and 59 metacritic for PS4 and Xbone, but its organised haters?

Digital Foundry (who I know Senua worships) massively criticised the game in their videos, but its still organised haters?

After CDPR insisted multiple times just in the last year that the game was running great on base consoles, for a game that was developed to be a PS4/Xbone game, that then released and runs like s**t. They straight up lied to sell this many copies.

But its organised haters? Clickbait and loud haters? Merry Christmas and I hope you regroup your brain cells in 2021 😂😂

Re: Ubisoft Is Now Selling XP Boosts In Assassin's Creed Valhalla

Jacko11

Scummy move no doubts about it.

Remember when you could go to a shop in old AC games and buy a treasure map with in game money, that revealed all types of rewards? Yep, I do.

Every seen how Destiny will allow you to level jump for when new DLC is released so you’re never missing out? Yep, done it myself.

Ubisoft will continue to push these sleezy microtransactions as long as people continue to pay for them. STOP PAYING FOR THEM.

Most will complain then not vote with their wallets. Joke move.

Re: Xbox Responds To Reports Of Games Running Better On PS5 Than Series X

Jacko11

This whole PlayStation vs Xbox power struggle is honestly so tiresome at this point and the comment section highlights it.

The fact is, its still early days so the consoles are going to have some hiccups with features, software etc.

But you aren’t going to find a Sony first party level title on Xbox, at least not till 2022. And you aren’t going to have a service like GP on PlayStation at all, because Sony can’t afford that risk or loss.

Digital Foundary will tell you whats powerful and who performs better and honestly it makes zero difference. Both consoles are sold out everywhere and will continue to do so for the next year. Both consoles will be supported for the next 5+ years with top quality titles and services and you will all sit and enjoy them regardless of console.

I know i’ll have both eventually, and i’ll enjoy what both provide.

Rant over. Will probably deleted later.

Re: Bethesda On Xbox Exclusivity: We'll Decide What Makes The Best Sense

Jacko11

@Kefka2589 Thats a fair point then as someone who has played it personally, and to the degree of getting the platinum trophy.

As a WRPG fan it does make more sense what you’re saying in terms of the power Xbox could hold if they choose to make Bethesda games going forward exclusive. After all prior agreements as you’ve said.

I guess only time will tell. I personally had a OG, and currently have a friends Xbox One and have been playing for a good 6 months (since beginning of UK lockdowns) and i’ve had a blast with GP. Though PlayStation is still my main time sink and probably always will be. But the GP feel has certainly got my eye drawn to that Xbox Series S. One day soon i’ll have that and a PS5.

Time will tell as to which platform I will get to play Elder Scrolls and others on.

Re: Bethesda On Xbox Exclusivity: We'll Decide What Makes The Best Sense

Jacko11

@Kefka2589 see, I can see the argument for Elder Scrolls, but Fallout has not shown its best hand in the last two entries and i’m not quite sure they are system sellers anymore.

You being ready to drop your wallet on Series X for Avowed says to me you’re different than a normal consumer, you’re a die hard fan of either Bethesda or Obsidian, which most probably aren’t, but props to you.

And although its speculative, an educated time frame says at least 2023. Which is still many moons away and i’m also not convinced more hands in the pie is a good thing when it comes to Xbox. Halo is currently showing that to be the case and has done for a number of years.

Though this generation could prove different, Xbox is starting fresh and Phil seems to know the direction for the brand over the next few years. But it really is anyones guess...

Re: Bethesda On Xbox Exclusivity: We'll Decide What Makes The Best Sense

Jacko11

@LiterallyDoNotCare they don’t know for certain they will sell that many. Why is even more not better? 6 billion is a lot to pay off. They better start capitalising if they want to make a return

@Kefka2589 I just fell like Fallout is no longer a system seller not even close Maybe Elder Scrolls but that won’t come out till 2023 at least, it may not even make this generation (if there is a next-gen that is). So at that point how many more consoles will be sold to gain a purchase, at least of a Xbox Series X unless it drops in price.

I just think it makes more sense to get GP on all platforms but PlayStation (or maybe PS5 too) and get $70 off Sony either day 1 or further down the line with timed exclusivity.

@Hypnotoad107 I just think Bethesda games will take too long to become exclusive once the decision is made. And will it be likely for a PS player to jump to Xbox if they likely already have GP on another platform. And then would they rather the $15 and/or $70 as well. Exclusives aren’t a big selling point for Xbox anymore unfortunately as has become clear. It will be too late imo if games only become exclusive in 2023 and beyond. Just make them timed or available over any platform. Plus consoles won’t be $500 by the time games become exclusive.

@Murray But Sony games don’t necessarily sell on PC, Horizon kinda shown that with mediocre sales. Plus most PC gamers already own either an Xbox or PS4. That’s where the around 50 million and 113 million consoles sold respectively come from. So no, not stupid at all really.

Re: Bethesda On Xbox Exclusivity: We'll Decide What Makes The Best Sense

Jacko11

The amount of consoles sold over the next 12 months will determine the exclusivity of these games going forward.

If Sony has more consoles in the wild, Phil will leverage the player base and allow the sale of those games at $70 on PS5.

If Xbox has more consoles or a substantial enough amount/subscribers to GP, they will possible consider exclusivity.

It makes no sense to make games like Fallout & Elder Scrolls etc exclusive when you look at the amount of money that would be getting left on the table. It would be completely stupid to do so.

Xbox own Bethesda now. Use them to showcase and attract to your console. “Sure, you can pay $70 and play Elder Scrolls on PS5 or, you can pay $15 for a month of GP Ultimate on Xbox and get Elder Scrolls and 100’s of other games too“. Simply to big an opportunity to pass on.

But hey, Phil knows best right?

Re: Action-RPG The Ascent Launches With Xbox Game Pass Next Year

Jacko11

This game looks great, unfortunate to not be coming to Xbox at launch but definitely a solid early 2021 game.

@KelticDevil I’m not sure Sony fans are entirely “Game Pass will ruin the industry” in the way you put it. 99% of “Sony fans” see the incredible value on show with GP, they just question sustainability of the service. Which is completely understandable when considering the cost of making games vs price of GP and how many are subscribed to it. Even industry veterans have raised questions, though Phil Spencer (as seen in another article posted today) assures it is. So we must trust he is right.

Re: Xbox Unsure About Game Pass On Competitor Platforms, But Could Be Open To Discussions

Jacko11

I think this will 100% happen somewhere down the line, maybe even this generation.

Its already been said that Gears and Halo were considered for PlayStation at some point in the past, so this is a given.

Xbox are going to stop being a console manufacturer at some point to focus on their services like GamePass. Bringing GamePass to PlayStation would be a huge win for Xbox and Sony imo, but most importantly gamers too.

Re: Two More Ex-Naughty Dog Talents Join New Xbox Studio The Initiative

Jacko11

Likely almost every video game developer: crunch crunch crunch

People on the internet: silence

Naughty Dog, Rockstar, CDProject: crunch

People on the internet: “How dare they” “death to them” “#cancel...” “disgusting company”

Give your heads a wobble ya bunch of babies. Nobody talking and crying about suicide sweat shops making your precious next-gen consoles throughout covid season though right? Pick your battles ay?

Anyway, super big win for The Initiative. Very interested to see what they are working on.

Re: Soapbox: Why FIFA 21's Release Marks My Favourite Day Of The Year

Jacko11

Certainly not a good game. Full of bugs which never get fixed and recurring issues from game to game each year.

Literally the game is usually “good” for the first 2 weeks, then they release the annual ‘first big update’ and it completely changes the gameplay within the game. Same story every year.
