Re: Infinity Blade Confirmed For Xbox One With Kinect Support

@JaxonH

For sure, the catalog of GOOD Kinect 2.0 games, is quite slim

KS: Rivals is OK, in my own opinion, KS 1&2 were better. Peggle is impossible to play using Kinect. Dark Dreams Don't Die seems like a bit of a chore when button taps are faster and more responsive. The ability to say Xbox ON, and have your whole system activate, Volume Down, Up, go to this game, record that... those things are all amazing. I just wish they'd utilize the potential for physically controlled gaming that is clearly there.

@stylon @crippyd @JaxonH

Legendary is more for a 2player team, it's extremely difficult lone wolf. Heroic is the diff I usually go with as I've played the games since the dawn of time and know 'em fairly well, I also love a shooter challenge. Self-proclaimed "shooter-guy" here at pX.

If you're doing it for the story, Normal or Easy are the way to go, that'll provide a fairly cinematic and fast paced play-through of the campaigns. I would suggest that newcomers go with Easy for Halo:CE and bump it up as you progress to 2...3, and 4.

@JaxonH

Agreed! Since swipes can easily be transferred to Kinect gestures, I'm fairly curious as to how the games will play using that method, controller support is a "meh" for me as long as that Kinect functionality works well.

Edit: Anyone remember that trailer for the original Kinect that looked as if the kid was playing Tekken in first person and just dropping roundhouse kicks like he was Chuck Norris? I want that. (although my roundhouse is that of a lazy man who does one every ten years, so I may end up kicking my TV, still.)

Re: More Patching For Halo: The Master Chief Collection

@Emanouel @stylon

E-Man, I completely agree! Although this launch was a total bust as Stylon said, and it really didn't help review scores across the board, a major first party developer like 343 with this being THE flagship franchise of Xbox will likely fix it, more than likely, there is really no doubt.

Other sites may have either played a pre-launch version and reviewed that, or played the first week, and reviewed THAT, so we see horribly fluctuating scores. We made the decision to wait because of this, I believe we reviewed the game more fairly as a result. It certainly has it's issues but bet your bottom dollar they'll be fixed.

Re: Review: Halo: The Master Chief Collection (Xbox One)

HEADESTROYER4

@Gamer83 Thanks! After other sites did pretty much just that, slapped a 10 on it before release, and then changed those scores? We decided (it wasn't easy) to hold the review back until we could properly perform one, within reason of course. It wasn't the best launch ever but things are looking good as of now.

@EVERYONE

In regards to Halo:MCC (bless it's soul) head over to the forums

We have a gamertag exchange, general discussion, NIGHTFALL discussion and of course anything anyone wants to make a thread over in the forums section, come on down!

We hope to get a solid squad of pX Spartans to possibly take on the pX team??? Just a silly rumour! Nothing more.

Re: pX Draws: Master Chief

@sinalefa

I must say that I enjoyed Dave's "Master Chef" idea quite a bit

All praise aside we'd really like to see all of your Chief drawings! Choose a format and run with it (you can't possibly fail harder than Ken, yeah... I said it!) Funny drawings like Dave's, extreme sketches like Anthony or Wayne, Colourful Master(Chief)Pieces like Josie's or a digital one like my own?

Sharing is good for a Spartans soul!

Re: Activision Confirms Next Destiny Game is in Development

@hydeks

That was sort of what I thought? Even if it's in the works, even if we all KNOW it's in the works, why announce it at such a pivotal point in the current iterations lifespan? As far as Bungie goes we must remember that more than half the company's "Brains" went to 343, not all of the greats but most of them.

Re: Discuss: Share Your Thoughts on the Evolve Big Alpha RIGHT HERE

HEADESTROYER4

@hydeks The game has bots, but it does look like an online game ala Titanfall in story delivery and such. The INITIAL matchmaking can take some time but so long as you stay within the same room matches start fairly quickly. The trouble I've had is with the "on-the-fly" tutorial system and in getting enough play with each character to know what I should be doing.

Re: Deals With Gold: Jump Into A Titan And Get The Season Pass For A Clip

HEADESTROYER4

@EternalDragonX

First off, it does NOT look "last-gen". Second, why shouldn't new development studios try new ideas? The game is visceral, fast paced and now even COD is taking notes. Titanfall introduced elements of FPS that we've NEVER seen before! It HAS a campaign, sure, it's a multiplayer campaign but again... TRYING NEW THINGS! Without companies doing so we'd be left with the same old, same old by a different name in thirty iterations by thirty big studios each year... who wants that? Other than yourself, of course. Look at the positives from time to time, not simply any negative you can find!

Re: 8 Bit Confirms Skara: The Blade Remains Coming to Xbox One as F2P

HEADESTROYER4

@EternalDragonX

Warframe is a F2P game, it contains MORE content, planets, game modes, weapons and levels than Destiny. It came out years before Destiny and even in the wake of Bungie's new attempt sports one hell of a player base as well as nearly weekly updates and story continuum... I play it at least five times a week for a good couple hours and have met some amazing folks while doing so. I've spent about $8 on this amazing game that graphically matches Destiny. I spent $99.99 on Destiny and got what? Four planets, fewer game modes, far worse matchmaking and less support from the developer!

Ease up bro! Sometimes the "Nothing is free" phrase simply does not apply to games!

Re: Review: Alien: Isolation (Xbox One)

@midnafanboy

This game almost IS that movie! It ties in so well to the films that you're playing, hiding, evading... running like heck just to see what happens next!

Apart from that, we have Prometheus annnnd hopefully Prometheus 2!

@peckfeckler

I'm so glad that our review swayed you over and that you LOVED the game! If you're not already on my friends list add me as the Survivor Mode is a blast and arcade like experience once you've completed the main story. I intend to challenge your times!

@EternalDragonX

Thanks my man! We in the UK and Canada are impatiently waiting for this one and I agree with you fully on the matter of Kinect being underrated. It must be calibrated correctly, in an environment that compliments it's features but what fun and convenience it has brought me! XBOX ON!

(was a bit cheesed when they nixed it as well but that was mostly due to business reasons, not the device itself)

Thanks again for filling us unlucky Canadians and UKers in!

Re: Review: The Evil Within (Xbox One)

HEADESTROYER4

Great review Anthony! The best parts of RE:4 for me weren't the scares or the suspense but the plot. I LOVED that plot. This one seems a tad more grotesque than I like my games but that's just me, I'm sure many a folks will enjoy that aspect.

Re: Titanfall: Update 8 Breakdown

HEADESTROYER4

@WINGNUT I'm in the same boat this weekend so you are not alone I'll likely have Xbox withdrawal by the time Monday rolls around!

Indeed, it's playable now! Sounds like they'll be rolling out parts of the update through November. 911MB is one sizeable update! Looks like great fun.

Re: Titanfall: Update 8 Breakdown

HEADESTROYER4

@WINGNUT

I couldn't agree more! With the talk of "winding down" that we were hearing I was a little worried they might have moved resources around to other projects a little too soon but that doesn't seem to be the case at all.
