Microsoft has confirmed the upcoming Games With Gold offerings for December, and even though a retail title is in the mix on Xbox One, we're pretty sure some will not be happy with it, as it scotches rumours that users were due to receive Ryse or Dead Rising 3 as their game for December. Might be worth checking your sources if you're in that camp.
In December on Xbox One, Worms: Battlegrounds will be on offer from December 1st through to the 31st, free for all Xbox Live Gold subscribers.
On Xbox 360, The Raven: Legacy of a Master Thief will be free from December 1st to the 15th, and booming snowboard sim SSX will be the freebie from the 16th through to the end of the month.
Worms: Battlegrounds is a decent enough bit of fun, especially when more than one player is available for some local grenade-lobbing fun. On 360, SSX is a doozie if you haven't played it, and while not a particularly high-profile title, The Raven is quite playable and worth at least a couple hours of your time.
Of course, there's still time for more to be announced...not that we have any idea if anything else is coming down the pike. We'll keep you updated, though.

I'm not fretting.... Microsoft always pulls out a great 12 days of Christmas in December.... I'm sure we will see some more nice holiday surprises.
@Fallout09-mk That they do. I typically end up spending WAY more money than I should during those holiday sales.
I would really upset if I didnt have such a massive backlog.
I have always loved the Worms series and wanted to try this, but didn't want to buy it.. so I'm actually pretty pleased with this months free game.
I might get the Worms game, since I will have a Xbox One by then.
NICE!!! I'm really digging microsoft's deals at the moment

Worms is actually very enjoyable! Given you enjoy that type of action strategy. Damn me for getting every single game ever on release day!
Looking forward to worms
Holy Thread Revivial! I didn't spot SSX was free in December. Luckily I still have a copy, which I have now loaded up again after 2 years. I'd forgotten how good it was. I'd love to see an XB1 version.
