Update []: Microsoft has now confirmed the full dates for all of these Xbox Game Pass leavers, while also adding another game to the list in the form of F1 22.
In terms of what's coming to the service soon, you'll find more details elsewhere on Pure Xbox:
Original Story: The next games set to leave Xbox Game Pass in February 2025 have been revealed today, and there are eight of them in all - including some fan favourites such as Maneater, Warhammer 40K: Boltgun and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.
Six of the eight have been dated for the end of the month (February 28th), while the two Yakuza games are simply classed as "leaving soon". We'll update this article as soon as we get a concrete date for those two titles.

Nothing has been announced yet in terms of what's leaving Xbox Game Pass in March, but we have made some early predictions elsewhere on Pure Xbox - at least half of these usually turn out to be true, so it's worth a browse at least!

Ohh quite a hit. Let's see what gets announced Tues.
Loved Maneater and Boltgun. Maneater is a must play just for Chris Parnell 's narration, way too funny to be in a video game
Weird to see yakuza leaving. They no longer launch on gpu either. Seems like sega is less focused on game pass. I still need to play yakuza 7, so maybe I’d better get on that…
@FraserG F1 22 is also showing on the leaving soon list this morning.
@Kaloudz do they usually announce games on Tuesdays? I always wondered when but can never figure out their gp announcement schedule.
Sega is planning to launch a subscription service so I wouldn’t be surprised to see more of the Yakuza entry’s to be leaving…same reason why they delisted the Genesis collection from the storefront a few months ago
@FatGuyInLilCoat Yeah buddy. The first Tuesday of each month and the first Tuesday of the second half of each month. We should get another announcement tomorrow for the rest of February (fingers crossed for Crash 4).
After that we should get an announcement for March, on 4th - the first Tuesday of the month, and so on etc...
@YeyoFairy Yeah I reckon they'll get scaled back too, but still reckon we will get some Sega games given how tight MS and Sega are these days and given how well I'm sure MS pays.
I love Sega, but I wouldn't pay for a sub service from them in the same way I wouldn't for Ubisoft despite how much I love them.
@redgrave0 Thank you! Will wait to see what happens on Tuesday and then adjust the list accordingly.
For some reason the Leaving Soon games were indicated on the PC Game Pass app much earlier than usual: Saturday, Feb 15th.
It made me panic BC I was trying to finish up Tales of Arise into the wee hours of the morning on the 16th (didn't finish, lol), only to think that Warhammer 40K: Boltgun was leaving that same day (the 16th).
So, uh, forgive me if I call foul on this prediction, if any. Someone did us a solid over at Microsoft and gave us a heads-up.
Play Boltgun, btw. It's amazing and I don't even vibe with some of the game's presentation (usually in other titles, I mean). I'm becoming more interested in the lore, even though I disagree a lot with the Astartes culture and their imperial overlords' philosophies. In other words, I'm gaining insider knowledge of this universe but misgivings remain, and yet I still really like Boltgun.
It's also cool that when I play it with a controller with vibration on, I undoubtedly FEEL the heft of the armour and it makes it very immersive; playing with M&KB makes it very close to a jumpy, faster-paced Unreal, Quake III or Quake 4 experience. Both vibes feel great to play.
Don't try and finish a bunch of Yakuza games in two weeks, as those games are meant to be savoured. I wouldn't bother with Wo Long... I really tried to like it but other than a few good fights I felt that other Soulslike games have systems that are equally robust but more rewarding. It didn't help though that I played it on the cloud.
@FraserG Today is the day we hopefully hear that Crash 4 is coming to the service
Ah here no more paw patrol world 🌍 guess it time to unsubscribe gamepass is worthless without it 😭
@Jark thanks for the recommendation I'm already playing W40k Boltgun and I'm surprised I'm enjoying it although I don't know nothing about the lore.
I've managed to finish Tales of Arise and I'm sorry you couldn't finish it. It's a great JRPG.
Wo-Long is a bit of a shame for anyone who had not tried it yet. It was not as good as Nioh but it still held its own as a fun action game.
The only real drop off was DLC3 final boss being overly tuned. It basically required a NG++ character playing on NG difficulty which was a stupid decision.
I'll have to try and play more Boltgun while I can. That's a really fun one. Warhammer 40K meets DOOM.
You could finish WoLong if you started now. It's not overly long and an absolutely amazing game.
Boltgun is amazing! Highly recommend. Maneater is fun too, another recommend.
I decided to play Gris and Boltgun - both are fun and should have played them sooner
@AlwaysPlaying Gris is wonderful. Headphones highly recommended.
They giveth with one hand, and then grab a load with two hands and the help of a bunch of other people... 🤣
Ah, Wo Long...definitely one of Team Ninja's worst games.
Like, when even Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin is a way better game, you know you messed up.
Actually was looking forward to WoLong, tried the demo and was left scratching my head.
Just so many weird and undercooked mechanics in that one.
Also such a weird design-choice to have the first boss of the game be both a highlight and misplaced.
Like, based on demo, it felt like boss quality only went downhill after the first boss.
And that's even when taking into consideration that they basically gave that boss a "press these buttons to skip the fight" prompt midway through.
@jesse_dylan yes, Sega doesn't like the Game Pass. I can't blame them.
@Nintendo4Sonic They used to! Tons of Sega and Atlus games have been on there. But that might be over now. Sega seems to want to do their own subscription service (ick)
@Ilyn I thought Wolong was so much better than the Nioh games. The refinements to looting and upgrading alone makes it better but I also thought the switch to a more dynamic parry based combat system was a major improvement.
@Foxx_64740 ah it's ok. I started Tales late, at the end of last year, but most of my gaming time goes to Destiny 2 (now I'm finally raiding multiple times per week with a clan), so I knew what I was signing up for .... Or rather biting off more than I can chew lmao.
My sister and BIL got me FF7 Rebirth on pc for my birthday recently so that also took away time from Tales. I'll probably buy it with the DLC on another platform/storefront and find some sort of save editor to re-attain my progress.
@RBRTMNZ I just found the actual combat in Nioh to be more my style. Both very good games I just prefer the stances, skills and dodge from Nioh over martial arts and parry style of Wo Long.
Being able to upgrade gear with items was a nice change, but capping your gear in the base game and the dlc having no real upgrades felt off. That was something I felt Nioh did better by having divine gear only drop from the end boss and then all the dlcs increasing on it.
