Update []: Microsoft has now begun revealing the games leaving Xbox Game Pass in March 2025, so we've updated the table below with any confirmed departures.
Original Story: What's leaving Xbox Game Pass in March 2025? Well, Microsoft hasn't confirmed anything just yet, but based on some games that were added to the service this time last year, we can at least make a few predictions ahead of time.
We know that a lot of Xbox users want more advance notice of games leaving Xbox Game Pass, but Microsoft usually gives us around two weeks right now - and don't forget, publishers sometimes secure late deals with Microsoft to keep their games on Game Pass, even after they've been announced to be leaving!
So, before we take a look at the following list of potential games leaving Xbox Game Pass in March 2025, we want to stress that nothing has been confirmed yet, and this will not be a 100% accurate list by any means. Some of these games might leave, some of these games might stay, and many others might be added to the list.
The most common (but definitely not the only) trend with Xbox Game Pass seems to be that games stick around for one year, so we've gone back to March 2024 to look at the games that were added to Game Pass at the time. That said, we've also added a few games from the March 2023 list as well. Based on those original announcements, here's what we think could potentially leave Xbox Game Pass in March 2025:
Date It Joined Xbox Game Pass | Game | Platform |
March 3, 2023 | Console, PC, Cloud
March 21, 2023 | Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom | Console, PC |
March 5, 2024 | Console, PC, Cloud
March 7, 2024 | Console, PC, Cloud
March 12, 2024 | Console, PC, Cloud
March 13, 2024 | Control Ultimate Edition | Console, PC, Cloud |
March 14, 2024 | Console, PC, Cloud
March 19, 2024 | Lightyear Frontier | Console, PC, Cloud |
March 19, 2024 | Console, PC, Cloud
March 21, 2024 | Console, PC, Cloud
March 26, 2024 | Terra Invicta | PC |
March 26, 2024 | The Last Case of Benedict Fox: Definitive Edition | Console, PC, Cloud |
March 28, 2024 | Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 | Console, PC, Cloud |
March 28, 2024 | Open Roads | Console, PC, Cloud |
As usual, there could be plenty of additions to this list, and a few of these games might stick around for Xbox Game Pass for even longer, but it seems likely that we'll lose at least some of these in March 2025. Our predictions usually turn out to be anywhere from 30%-80% correct - you never know how accurate they'll be!
February 2025's Xbox Game Pass lineup is still getting into the swing of things, of course, with the big addition of Avowed heading our way in the middle of the month. In terms of leavers, we know of seven games departing Xbox Game Pass in early Feb, followed by another batch that will be disappearing at the end of the month.
Which of these games do you think will leave Xbox Game Pass in March 2025? Tell us down below.

I'll need to play Evil West just in case. Maybe if I finish Eiyuden fast enough.
I wish they’d announce these things a month ahead instead of 13 days.
Wo Long was fun. Honestly thought the first boss fight was the hardest. After that I beat most of them first attempt. Definitely worth a playthrough imo.
Wo Long and Ni No are essential plays imo.
@FatGuyInLilCoat It was absolutely, hands down, the toughest boss in the game. If you could beat him, everything else was mustard.
@Lup It is a fun romp.
I recommend Return to Grace which is leaving next week. It is a decent and short game with walking sim/light puzzles gameplay. It took me 2 hours to beat and got 680 achievement score. Perfect cloud streaming game too.
@Kaloudz definitely! Ni No was great as well.
@Kaloudz I wanted to love wo long so bad as I'm a big team ninja fan and ninja gaiden freak. I think the decision to farm gear and the buddy system ruined the experience for me anyway. Couldn't stick with it and it was a miss for TN in my books.
Fraser we need to talk about what "news" means. This is speculation, the following article about games confirmed to be releasing this week would make the definition for an Xbox site, the one you didn't mark as "news".
@MonsterMike Did you manage to get pass the first boss? I spent days stuck on that guy O_o I quite enjoyed the whole thing, but truth be told, I usually suck at uber-hard games so I tend to skip most of them. There's really only that and Elden Ring that I've managed to complete. I wanted to try Dark Souls 3 but I'm told you can't signal for online help for bosses (which is the only thing I did with Elden Ring, and the only reason I managed to finish it lol!).
I did beat the first boss. That was actually fun, I'm a bit of a masochist when it comes to games. The harder the better. I've done the evil within 1 & 2 on akumu difficulty (one hit kills), and tend to enjoy games that are harder lol.
