I'm finally caught up with reviews for the first time in a month. What a wonderful feeling.
I wish I was!
Not only that, but I've got my landlord coming round tomorrow for his yearly inspection of my flat and the place looks like a bomb has hit it, and the other site I write for decided that they wanted to do a full day of articles about Pantera's Dimebag Darrell Abbott today, given it's the 10th anniversary of his death. They decided that at 1am.

So...I'm a bit frazzled today to say the least.
Keep it together, Barnes...keep it together...
The games you review tend to be quite a bit more lengthy than the smaller digital stuff I tend to review.
Wow, TEN years since Dimebag died!?! The dude could shred, that's for sure. His early story would be interesting to read of. Link me up when it's live Mr. Barnes.

Nice piece my man, harrowing... comes to mind, I feel this was a blunt sort of retracing of what happened that night, which I certainly didn't know the whole story of. I'm going to read up on his early life a tad, where he learned and such. Thanks Ken!
Woke up to find Npower (who I no longer get my energy from...) have debited hundreds from my bank account and left me £117 over my limit... Feck knows how long that'll take to get back. Without that money I'm going to have to let my kids down because we were supposed to be seeing Santa this weekend and now I can't pay for it.
Whilst I was on the phone trying to sort out the money situation, youngest terror got hold of pot of nappy cream and covered herself, the floor, and the dog in it. Turns out, that stuff is very water resistant...
Other dog decides to throw up all over the sofa. Then the rug. Then the kitchen floor.
Whilst I'm cleaning that up (gross...) toddler somehow manages to get a pot of curry powder off the side and empty it all over the floor. Another bath.... House now smells like a takeaway. Better than dog sick, I guess.
I then forgot to close the catch on the cupboard door and she's painted the freezer... With bright red paint.
My head hurts. I want to go to bed. And it looks like I've killed someone and tried to stash them in the freezer and/or smells like I've tried to cook them in a korma.
Oh, and come online to find they are, indeed, eventually going to shut OXM down next year. Some silly move to merge everything into one mega site. Pffft.
Tomorrow will be better. Tomorrow will be better.....
Good lord 'Hetty! That's one hell of a day you've had. Really hope you get nPower sorted soon. I'd be going ape at them to get the money refunded straight away. If they admit it's their fault, they can do a bank transfer via BACS (I think) so it's much quicker than the usual 3-5 working day loblocks.
You don't stop gaming because you get old, you get old because you stop gaming.

Damn, Hetty, at least its nearly Xmas.....
"Justin Bieber looks like a lesbian i'd like to ****..." - Megakillscreen, out of frickin' nowhere!
Yeah it should hopefully be back with me by Monday, but having been dealing with Npower's executive complaints department for 12 months now I won't hold my breath They actually sent me flowers the other day... It had a little note in that said 'sorry we got it wrong'... It was most bizarre. Not even a fan of flowers, and it certainly didn't soften the £300 blow this morning lol.
I'm very much looking forward to Xmas luckily all my shopping is done and wrapped so the money hasn't affected that. And pretty sure Mister has already paid for the turkey (all 4kg of it... We'll be eating turkey forever...) so just waiting now... Must be time for Muppet's Christmas Carol this weekend
Just praise the lord your aren't dealing with Scottish Power! They are the biggest bunch of incompetent, totally fecking useless arse-wipes on the planet. My blood boils at just the thought of having to phone them (if indeed I can get through after 3 or 4 days of trying).
Hope you get things sorted soon - shitty timing for something like this to happen.
Hetty, that's some bad luck right there. You should be able to get your money straight back under the direct debit scheme, just phone your bank and tell them that they shouldn't have taken it and they'll give you it back now. @stylon I hope nothing goes wrong for me as I'm with Scottish Power.
Seriously - switch when you get the chance. I've had to deal with my fair share of problems with companies getting things wrong over the years both at home and work, but I've NEVER encountered a scale of incompetence and appalling customer service that even comes close to rivalling that of Scottish Power. If you ever have a problem your first clue that you're in for heaps of fun is the 60 minutes plus you spend on hold... it goes downhill from there...

Damn, I only signed up with them about 4 months ago. Touch wood all is well at the moment and they are so much cheaper than Npower.
As long as you never have a problem you want sorting you'll probably be OK. God help you if you do though... my catalogue of issues still haven't been resolved to this day and they started back in June!!!
